Anything that shortens the average life expectancy of a Deathclaw would be welcome

Tunnellers are probably my favourite enemy so far. Yes, they are deadly, and they occasionally make me quit in disgust. But more than any other enemy they require through understanding of the battlefield, and reward careful planning, yet occasionally make a mockery of planning.

My only real objection to Lonesome is that Ed-e is almost completely pointless in any other capacity than as a decoy. But maybe that just makes one feel more powerful. :)

Nothing like playing a broken DLC. Well at least for my first game run with Dead Money. I get right to the end and I'm stuck locked up in the vault. No word or sight of Elijah when I got there. Nothing from him when I got locked in. NOTHING. Even better is I saved my game while I was locked in there so I could search online to see what I did or didn't do. And even better than that the game autosaved in there so now I have no prior saved games when it comes to the Dead Money part. Guess I'll go back to the saved game that I made before I started DM and go to a different DLC. I won't be playing DM any time in the immediate future. :)

You sure you used the terminal and talked with Elijah? If I remember correct, the vault locks itself when you enter it.

The terminal in the the back and the terminals on both sides nothing related to Elijah happens. The one on the RH deals with the turrets the left deals with the alarms going off and the center just mentions missing Vera tapes.

If you open the message from the casino builder, *I think* a trap (for Dean Domino) was activated, which locks the vault-- it's also written in the message. I just don't know if the game ends then with slideshow or if only the door is locked. Never really tested this out.

There's a slideshow.

After screwing around with the terminal I finally got Elijah to show up on the screen. I really hate that stupid collar. After several reloads in trying to get out of there after defeating Elijah, I decided to sneak most of the way out of there before he got wise and triggered my collar. I got out of the Sierra Madre leaving him stuck in the basement. I would have preferred to have blasted his head off for that stupid, annoying collar. Even though it dealt with some old world stuff, which fascinates me, I don't think I'll return to this DLC in future games.

I dunno. Letting him rot in that vault seems like a harsher punishment than instant death.

You're probably right. Let him rot away in his insanity, to a slow death.

Dead Money can be pretty frustrating to play the first time around, I didn't think I'd replay it either even though I liked it despite its "harshness".

But on the second playthrough, it's just a lot more smooth sailing since you tend to know how everything works.

I do think that ending battle can be a bit of a mess though, I know both Dean and Christine helps if you've been nice to them but I always found it confusing in the heat of battle as to what exactly happens, plus it's hard to hear what they say. Most of the time I ended up hiding (using a stealth boy) until Elijah was pretty close, and then just blast him in the face with the Automatic Rifle. That seems to work well.

The slave collar thing worked in game-play. It could be pretty unnerving running from hot spot to hot spot trying to find and shut off the radio, but they just massively over used it, making it eventually feel more like cheap filler to extend play time.

greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER.

That is all.

On the other hand, if you blow his head off at least you're sure that he'd never find a way out. He's some kind of genius, after all.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

This is one of those rare times where I had to die numerous times. I had to find out where the speakers were, what types of speakers they were, where the hologram emitters were. Royal pain in the ass. I didn't have a chance to kick back and learn more about the Sierra Madre's history.

Sure you can, man. You can learn about it while running for your life. I enjoyed the counterpoint.

Dead Money is- hands down - my favourite DLC. I actually save it up until late in the game so I can enjoy my replays more. The whole thing with beginning again. I wait until my character starts to struggle with their personal ethos... far too much thought going on. :):p

BTW, Lucian, being trapped in the Vault is entirely deliberate. I thought it was a great touch because I damned nearly did myself, but luckily was pondering the vault construction and thought 'hang on...'. I mean, didn't it strike you as odd that the builder was nowhere to be seen? Why Vera wasn't down there?
