He's always said he doesn't like rpgs. He's still amusing though.

Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

I don't really get what he was trying with the style, his usual one is much better.

Wait, so he didn't claim to go skiing instead because the manual was too thick for this game?

What's odd is his review of Alpha Protocol was fairly positive. At least, as positive as Yahtzee gets.

 

He didn't seem to really get it though, but as others have stated, it was out of his comfort zone.

I'm not sure you could call it a review at all.

This particularly rapid, unintelligible patter isn't generally heard, and if it is, it doesn't matter.

I dunno. I think he always does a good job at deconstructing a lot of the stupid conventions of rpgs in a humorous way.

I've never liked Yahtzee and the fact that he doesn't understand why soda dehydrates you and uses it as a critizism of the game just furthers my dislike for him.

The internet is a fickle beast.

 

I've never liked Yahtzee and the fact that he doesn't understand why soda dehydrates you and uses it as a critizism of the game just furthers my dislike for him.

If that were true, 1/4 of the world's population would be dead from dehydration.

Soda shouldn't dehydrate you. I just suspend my disbelief and assume it's one hell of a diuretic.
