Darth Drabek
Steve and Guard Dog: I believe I've thrown my hat in with the console crowd for good this time. I don't know about you guys, but I spend eight hours a day in front of a computer. I really don't want to sit in front of one when I go home, too. That makes it sound like I'd rather be hiking through rainforests or wrestling wolverines, but my point is that I'd rather sit in my recliner and watch a television that is more than three feet away from me than spend ANY more time in front of the computer. In fact, I'm only here now because I wanted to see how many points my boy Tony Romo was scoring for my fantasy football team. But I've strayed from the original topic... One of my favorite things about Mass Effect is that I haven't felt at all compelled to make choices based on my "paragon" or "renegade" status. I feel like I'm doing more actual role-playing in ME than in previous Bio games. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Llyranor
Wow, I take back all my mockery of Hades. This game is really hard. I had to turn the difficulty down all the way to casual, with the highest aiming assistance. Despite that, I still have to pause the game to manually aim at enemy targets. The game really goes too fast without it. Man, this must be the hardest Bioware game I've ever played, even on the easiest diff. As for the console/PC crap, I was a console gamer before I had a PC (NES/SNES days), and they were pretty awesome back then. I skipped out on the last 2 gens because they didn't interest me so much (3D camera controls with a gamepad with a N64/GC gamepad were hilarious). Despite that, getting into the 360 (which I got into thanks to the emphasis on co-op + online) controller was pretty easy. Took a little getting used to, but they're so much more improved than what I've played in the previous gens - aside from the dpad. If Hades can use a gamepad, it'd be embarrassing for anyone else to use that as the primary excuse not to play on a console. Gorgon
Xbox is prone to overheating and crashing as well. Hardware issues dating back from the first production runs. I've got nothing against consoles for certain game types, they seem to dumb down traditional PC type games though. And by the way aiming, with a controller. Hello ? Can anyone say mouse. The game really goes too fast without it. Man, this must be the hardest Bioware game I've ever played, even on the easiest diff. I found the game was only really hard up to a point. Early on, my adept was having a lot of trouble keeping up with large groups of mercs, since the slow recharge time on my biotic powers (not to mention a smaller selection of them) relegated me to a playing the role of a really bad soldier, constantly pinned down behind cover. I quickly hit a turning point though (thanks to class investments and cooldown enhancing armour mods) where my powers seemed to be almost always available when I needed them, and the difficulty took a dive. Perpetual barrier didn't hurt either. The ridiculously strong weapons my companions were carrying around by then almost made even that a moot point though, since they were taking down most minor enemies before I had a chance to unleash my biotic storm anyway. I'm hoping my current hardcore engineer run maintains the difficulty level even later in the game though. Not being able to stasis bosses and chip away at their health with no fear of recourse (bastion specialisation for the win!) should keep key battles a little more challenging, I think. Unless, of course, engineers become walking balls of death and destruction later in the game too.
Nick_i_am
Xbox is prone to overheating and crashing as well. Hardware issues dating back from the first production runs. It's not an excuse for shoddy workmanship, but the 360 gets a hard time over this when, in reality, the failure rate is not much higher than it was for PS2s, esspically the early ones, and that was the most popular console of all time. Sony cirtainly never sank the amount that Microsoft did into alleviating the problem either. Not that I don't love my PS2, I'm just a bit suprised that the 360 is getting such a hard time over somthing that's happened to other consoles in the past. Noceur
I really hope ME gets released for PC as well. I'm rather sick and tired of Fantasy/medieval settings right now... Unfortunately for me, I'm not going to buy an Xbox just for ME, so here's hoping.

legion
Didn't the producer or somesuch come out and say unequivocally that ME was not getting a PC port? I don't think so. Surely we would have heard - it would have been pretty big news. The last I heard, a Bio rep (on the official forums) said something to the effect that there was no port underway at the moment and no current plans for one in the future. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be one eventually though; it's just a reiteration of the game's current exclusivity on the 360. If it does happen though, I'd imagine the wait for a ME port will be as long or longer than the wait for Jade Empire PC was.

Pop
I'm going to use this post as a placeholder so I can move my music over to a computer that can actually burn CDs. It's a collection of songs I plan to load onto my 360 and use in place of the oft-not there ME score. http://www.mediafire.com/?7nh2sc8jtyj thx. Sand
Wow, I take back all my mockery of Hades. This game is really hard. Apology accepted, Llyranor. *force choke* I boosted it up to Normal now. I have pretty much gotten use to the controls. Hmmm... I am wondering if I am the only one who thinks that the Mako should get a Genral Lee reskin. I give this game a solid B+, 88%. Superior to all Bioware's previous outings with the exception of the BG series. Musopticon?
I remember how after finishing Bioshock, my points ridiculously bloated. That game was so cheap in achievements. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food.
