Dark_Raven Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Idiotic part AI reminds of me Khelgar going nuts earlier today He just started attack other party members during fight (excluding PC) and killed them. And that idiotic Qara (or whatever that sorceress is) just likes to blast everything she sees. Funny, no matter where enemy is (even if it is right next to her) she HAS to use fireball. Normally she kills most of my team and enemies if I forget to control her directly for a little bit too long time, hah. Of course, she kills herself too in 80 % of these caes. I'm not complaining about that though, it fits into her personality very well. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've seen that happen with Casavir while playing on D&D Hardcore. Basically, if an AoE damages a party member, they'll attack that party member if they don't have other orders. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So that's how party members attack each other. I'll stick with the default difficulty setting. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Tigranes Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I don't understand why everybody wanted a party, then let them go by Ai instead of using puppet mode. I puppet mode everyone fully and it's really fun. Ah well. That means I play on hardcore with no backstabbies. Xard Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Is there way to disable friendly fire and have D&D hardcore? How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
metadigital Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 No. That's the point of Hardcore. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Xard Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 (edited) Meh Hardcore rocks, but stupid AI when it comes to AoE attacks makes gaming more than little bit painful from time to time. And Normal setting is way too easy (although HC is not very hard either. I've been killed 3 times in game and that was because I was sloppy). LadyCrimson Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Still bucking the trend w/non-NWN2 pics... 1 - citizens catch on fire, they run to the nearest fountain 2 - what happens when you build a hi-pop city and need to suck up unemployed workers 3 - just another desert storm scenery pic. Sand Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 The last dragon battle I die in was in Baldur's Gate 2 after I polymorphed the big red dragon in that game into a squirrel. Darque Posted November 23, 2006 Author Posted November 23, 2006 Mega spell battle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow
Dark_Raven Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Mega spell battle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mega slow down. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Wistrik Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Depends on your computer I suppose. My computer eats spell battles for lunch, but lags when rendering the scenery. Go figure. At least I don't have to worry about my fps dipping every time there's combat.
Dark_Raven Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I have no problems with scenery, just slow downs when a lot of spell animations is going on at once. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Scythe critical? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My scythe but it didn't say anything about it being a critical hit. That's the second time I scored a huge damaging hit like that. Another one was 129 against an orc. Now if only I can do that against dragons. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

On the bright side, a critical hit that bad, he probably didn't even feel it before he died.
