Stargate: 2000 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 where did you get that? It looks... interesting to say the least. Meshugger Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 That motherboard should support Intel's HD Audio, meaning that you can play KotOR 2 with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
DSLuke Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Does it have a hyperdrive too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, but Chewie can upgrade it. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
DesertHawk Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Good lord. My Sony Vaio can handle KOTOR, and I trust it'll be able to handle KOTOR2. Good lord. Fnord.
Judge Hades Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Man, I need a new computer. My Compaq is old. *sniff*
Master_Splinter Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 hmm, your topic title leads me to believe you bought this PC in order to play Kotor 2. I don't think you'll be having any problems Of course, the Xbox seems to be having tons of issues, and how hard is it to make a game to support one console?
Zahadome Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 You were totally ripped of I wouldn't have paid that much to get a state of the art machine.... I bought mine 4 monts ago with 1100

aktus Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Stop showing off!!!. . . . . It makes me jealous... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You'll see, when new new generation games will come out, their computers won't be powerfull enough to make them run properly but it won't be worth buying an other one whereas we, with our poor pc, will play full specs the new games in a few years since we will buy a new one.

Darth Ni Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Is that a computer or a spaceship...? Or both...? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Amazing case, thats all I have to say. Some of my favourite cases: Z-Ogre from Nikao, Raidmax Titan and Raidmax Samurai, Alienware Predator Case, LianLi Aluminum w/ 4 Cooler (don't remember the exact model)

LoneWolf16 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 An ATI Radeon 9000 (pro, xt, I don't remember which) 64mb ran Far Cry seemlessly, at the same, if not better detail level than a 128mb Geforce 5600XT. So...it really isn't too wise to take ATI for NVidia copy cats, since the product itself is what defines the company. Then again, that card ran out of texture memory, and wouldnt allow me to play past the first level...but this 6800 is working nicely to alleviate my gaming woes cool case, btw I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
gstommylee Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 ATI doesn't suck. 9800 and the x800 were very well good cards. i got the 9800 pro 256mb card myself and it works great
Darth Ni Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Get a 6600GT, you will get the same level of performance of a 9800 for a lower price.
ampulator00 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 If you ask me, PC's never have enough memory. I would consider upgrading them first, if anyone is interested in getting new parts.
oherror Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Man, I need a new computer. My Compaq is old. *sniff* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> plus compaqs are crap....its a wonder how you've kept it alive so long.
Ludozee Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 That motherboard should support Intel's HD Audio, meaning that you can play KotOR 2 with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound <{POST_SNAPBACK}> provided he can actually hear something with that huge fan... "
