KOTOR III

Recommended Posts

If you did start off as Revan or the Exile, couldn't you start off as powerful as you were at the end of the first two games? I know that might sound unfeasable, but seriously, couldn't the devs just implement the same kind of system they had in the NWN mods? If I remember correctly, in those mods you could just select a premade character, which included a character that you played with in the original NWN, and in some cases, that character could be uber-powerful.

So the game just adjusted accordingly and made your foes apropos to the level of the character you were playing as. It seemed like that would be the most logical thing to do if you were starting off as Revan or the Exile.

I for one am kind of tired of the character who has been cut off or mentally maladjusted in some way and can't feel the force and has to gradually re-connect with it. It takes forever to get your lightsaber and your robes and all of that and it can get kind of tedious. Part of the allure of playing these games IMO, is playing as a Jedi or a Sith.

If there is a third game, I'd be cool if they did something different than the first two, i.e. you start the game as a Jedi or a Sith, and when you pick your portrait, skills, feats, powers, and such, you also select your lightsaber (kind of like Jedi Academy).

It's either that or they could go the Fable route and start you off as a youngling training at the academy on Coruscant or as a Sith Apprentice on some Sith world and then just go from there.

The moral options in the game would obviously be either staying true to path you start out on, being a Jedi or a Sith.

It'd be kind of cool to start off the game as a Sith for a change, and play through the game from their point of view, and then having to constantly make decisions that determine which path you are going to follow, knowing that if you make the wrong decision, you'll lose prestige among the Sith which could be hazardous to your health. And then, at some point, you can have the option of leaving the Sith for the Jedi or vice versa.

Ever played Final Fantasy VIII? That pretty much had two main characters in it, why not just do it that way?? The two characters, of coarse, would be the Exile and Revan...makes sense considering they where your characters and they dont want to stomp all over your decisions (that much). However, developement for a game like that would take at least 2 years

Interesting idea about the starting out as a Sith....sounds cool, but as for the one before it: it wouldn't work because of the difference in the class/feat/power structure in KotOR I & II, Revan and the Exile would not be equal.

I believe Plano Skywalker and phoenix240 have some pretty good ideas. I like the idea of recruiting previous Kotor characters. Candy Man is in charge of the Mandalorians and Carth is in control of the Republic Fleet. Atton, Bao-Dur, Mira, Handmaiden, Disciple and I guess Visas are the "last of the Jedi" so to speak....at least that

I like the shaky alliance bit between the Mandalorians and the Republic. Carth and Candy have got to show up in the 3rd installment. Along with Bastila and Juhani. Jolee isnt all that important. Maybe a cameo. The droids for sure have to be there. Except GOTO. I just want to go Corsucant.

I particularly like the whole, ur a jedi padawan in training thing. But if you had to be Revan or the Exile instead of picking from Jedi guardian/sentinal/consular you could start as a prestige class (Weapons master/watchmen/Jedi Master or there evil counterparts) level 1.

id like for kotor 3 to have a super dark beginning and your choices will affect you from then on. basically you have a neutral character to start who is apprentice to the true sith. the hero/heroine comes from a planet and is prince or princess that is force sensitive. Anyhow the true sith destroyed your world in the outer rim and took you as apprentice because believe it or not your language is similar to that found on a ancient sith temple that he/she/other needs translated to unlock the true powers of the sith.

youl travel to worlds and pick up party members to best suit you overthrowing the sith lord restoring balance or using the power to unleash your countless years of torment upon an uncaring world.

battle revan and the exile and others from k1 and k2, get help on korriban from ajunta paul. make your own sith blade/weapon yeah.

Man, I hope in Kotor 3 you're Revan again. I think Revan really is a girl, or should be. In Kotor 1 flashbacks she's so short and has the build of a woman.

I don't like the faces at all in Kotor 1, I think there are great ones in Kotor 2.

You know what there should be in Kotor 3? A pearlescant lightsaber, now that would be cool.

Being Revan again makes the whole series come full circle. You get to finish his story by destroying the True Sith(his true enemy), you could continuie your love interest with Bastila, you could meet old friends, and they could join you in an epic adventure that would decide who holds on to the Galaxy in this era.

Plus I'd love to be Revan and have a force Ghost Kreia trying to temp me at all times.

KOTOR 2 must be completed

What about doing KOTOR 3 as an expansion pack to the first two games? When installing the game you can pick a previous save file from each of the first two games to copy character information from. (you could also add an option to answer questions and customize by hand, but not "in-game") It sounds like the "True Sith" who live outside of the galaxy in unknown space are very powerful, so it wouldn't be unrealistic to start with a level 20 Revan. From playing KOTOR 2 it also sounds like Revan's motivation was the same as LS or DS, just the means were different. For LS or DS, he/she starts remembering that the reason for turning into Sith and getting the Starforge is that he/she wanted to unite the galaxy in order to fight the "True Sith" as one. If you played the first game as light side, you realized that the ends did not justify the means and went out after them alone. If you played dark side, you realize that it will take too long to unite the galaxy, that the war has weakened too many things, and decide to go out after them alone.

After playing for about 10 levels of play in the unknown regions, the game can switch to the exile, who is looking for Revan. You play as the exile for a bit and then the two meet up. Then the exile can become a party member for Revan, or you can split forces and have two missions going on at once, that switch at certain points (kind of like the Dxun/Onderon part two segment). I think that Mandalore and the Droids should show up (their loyalty to Revan demands it), and Bastila if DS, Carth if LS.

I have no idea about particulars of what you have to do, where you have to go, to stop the "True Sith", but most of it should take place in the unknown regions, making items and equipment scarce except for "True Sith" things that you can find and adapt. It also explains the massively hard enemies who live in the unknown regions and possibly the force could be harder to hear in such an uninhabited region. This last paragraph is improvised speculation, but the stuff listed above would truly make it a good game, in my opinion, at least, and solve a lot of problems.

It should also wrap up loose threads like the HK factory, the Droid controlling signals, the identity of Goto. Let's hear what you think. Sorry for the lack of Avatar or fancy graphics. I just created this account to post this.

The projected was cancelled and its not being worked on at this time.  It is of no good use to even bother talking about the game til that changes.

Canceled. Eh, I suppose one could view it that way. I'm not at all disagreeing with that, but how "they" worded it was more of:

"It is currently not being worked on at this time." ...as LucasArts made a few employee cut backs.

IF there is a KOTOR3 then i would recomend a few changes to that story

1) The exile either kills himself or retreats to the unknown regions in self proclaimed exile, and we dont see him until the final battle which includes a massive assault of a unknown race the exile recruited with ships in half oval design. also Revan sends a message through the force repeatedly to Carth and Batstila through out the game, but if ur ls, the shroud of the DS made it difficult to hear except to the new character you play for a period that switches b/w u and Revan. thus Bastila and carth must make a choice to defend the worlds the republic has left, or attack the Sith when they dont expect it.

2) a character you play for a time, switching with Revan and other party members.- preferably a team of jedi who were in hiding. Also the new pc should be able to be of multiple races, hell even huttese, force speed would be awesome w/ that. move at the speed of a catipillar...

3) fixed randomizer, with merchants who have half random and half GOOD important items that arent wastes of time to buy.

4) Lightsaber hilts and designs, tattoos, haircuts-if human or....wookie i guess

5) New movement for every lightsaber style, like juyo actually has the whirling and you get a force fury esque blur on the screen and the more xp ur character has in it, the longer u can last using it, it should be like that for them all so u dont get too powerful again.

6) good robes.

7) exile and revan both die at the end by sacrificing themself-ls for the republic and blow up the sith fleet or somethin. if ds then they use battle meditatioin to take control of the sith fleets and attack the republic at the end. using the exile to absorb the force as mass people die to keep the meditation going.

8) double bladed lightsabers like darth mauls that if u want can only have one lit or take them apart durin combat and use single blades. but u must have a VERY high repair and probly jedi mechanic feats or somethin where force items can be created manually and whatnot.

3 Suggestions for Kotor 3

1) In a word Dinosaur. Two words Ninja Dinosaur. Think about it, we've pretty much established that "Sith" have no chance of beating our PCs. Force powers, lightsabers, they're so predicatable, but what could be more unpredicatable then Dinosaurs trained in secret by an elite combat specialist specifically to destroy Jedi. Also they should probaly have laserbeam eyes or something like that.

2) The Ebon Hawk is old news, infact starships are just getting tired. Last summer I was able to ride around on a jetski almost the whole time and I have to say jetskis are totally awesome. Since this is Star Wars, I'm saying Space Skies. Thats right rippin it on a space ski, what could be better? You could totally do some jumps, that'd be soooo X games. Maybe you could get decals for each planet you visit.

3) A rapping mandalorian. Kids love rap. They also love mandalorians. This would be the ultimate party member and a marketing juggarnaut plus if he could have some sort of breakdancing fighting style that'd be totally 'Nam. I'm thinking Mos Def Fett. He could be from the streets of Alderaan, and for street cred. we'll say that he got shot with a blaster like 57 times and use to sell spice just to get by. Suburbia will love him

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
