When this popped up in my recommendations, I thought it was a fan trailer. But damn... it's real. And the Pathologic guys are involved. Still gotta get into Pathologic (tried once), but a few WTFs seem guaranteed.

Im super excited about DW2, I played DW1 a few months ago and it was one of the best horror survival games I have played

I didnt even know there would be a sequel, different developers but it still looks excellent

looks cool, but sounds like he doesn't have a game yet, just visuals.

Oh okay you mean it literally performs badly and lags?  I'm kinda fine with that, I thought you meant it's a bad performance as far as content goes.

Play it before they wreck it with their trash DLC.

Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved - indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

It's the paradox of Paradox: the base game tends to be far too simplistic but the dlc are too many to be consistently balanced/ implemented properly and always (unless the game flops) end up costing multiple times more than the base game did. At the tail end of the dlc cycle they really want you to quickly move on to the sequel after buying the last dlcs too. But if the game clicks it still ends up being good value for money.

(Their 'attitude' is also weird when there aren't millions of dlc. Stick a then ten year old game- Victoria 2- on GOG, bundle one dlc with it but the other costs as much as the base game and dlc. Never give more than a 50% discount)

Thankfully the GOG sometimes put Paradox games into Newsletter discount. I got the whole package including Sprites for 9.98EUR this way. DLC was 90% off for 1.99, sprite pack for 2.99 and the game for 5. It was in 2022 though. I do not remember seeing this deal in the newsletter again, though.

Nice. Deadfire felt a lot better in tb for me. Except that those super bosses were impossible, because combat would stretch into the endless...

Those tweaks they mentioned sound interesting. Almost makes me wish they would update Deadfire again. 😄

Must have missed that, or I would probably have picked it up for that price.

I do remember decent Stellaris/ CK2 newsletter deals though, so I agree they definitely have them.
