I think you forgot about the godawful shooting mechanics. (...) I mean it's pretty pointless to play it since I bought the remastered trilogy for the PS4 a while ago.

Hmmm... I really liked shooting mechanics. I mean "really liked" is too generous, it's no Doom: Eternal, but I liked it more then any GTAs/Saints Rows or later Mafia games. That's probably my one dislike of the remake - a stock, standard cover shooter mechanics. In the original shooting from Tommy gun felt wild.

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/we-almost-got-a-hitman-movie-directed-by-james-gunn

James Gunn of the Guardians of the Galaxy fame, once upon a time pitched a Hitman movie, but was rejected 🤔. Just kinda staggeting to think about it, considering there are two god-awful attemts at bringing Hitman to the big screen. Looking at dates, they must have gone with 2nd Hitman film instead, which for full transparency sake I haven't seen, but rotten tomatoes stands on respectable 8%, directed by some Polish fellow with only one film credit to his name 🤣

Tales of Symphonia Remastered is going to be released in early 2023.

Obvious choice for getting as much money out of the remaster as possible, but myself, I am kind of sad, that they have not chosen Tales of the Abyss instead 😞

Also, it looks this time, that they will not release the Symphonia “2”.

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/babylons-fall-is-shutting-down-in-february-2023-just-before-its-first-birthday

"BABYLON'S FALL will be ending service on February 28, 2023, 18:00 JST / 09:00 GMT / 01:00 PT.
After that point the game, along with any in-game currency and in-game purchased items, will no longer be accessible".
It is somehow satisfying to see an MTX-filled online-only GaaS model game shutting down.
I was quite fond of the developer before that. I suppose, it will not affect Bayonetta 3, because the publishers, genres and platforms are different.

Wild Breath 2

Bayo 3

Looks properly bonkers. I'm glad torture attacks are still in the game, there were some hilarious ones in the first 2 games.

Kind of clunky title for a Zelda game. Very much looks like BotW 2 still, though...eh. Should very much excite @majestic, our resident BotW superfan,.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

Fire Emblem

I hope it still has a permadeath option.

I can't think of a Fire Emblem game where permadeath wasn't at least an option. What I hope is that the difficulty is tuned better than 1. easy peasy 2.fairly easy 3. **** you like it's been the last few games.

On the bright sides, 3H ended up being good despite the school stuff and this means Genealogy of the Holy War will probably get an update so say hello to giant maps lmao.

I don't know why Kiryu is back, nor why he got this stupid haircut. I thought, Like a Dragon, did well moving away from Yakuzas. Now they drop the Yakuza brand, but bring Kiryu back... huh?

Edit. Oh! And Judgement and its sequel just released on steam.

Yeah, I was fine with Kiryu, Majima, et al. having a cameo in Yakuza 7... Like a Dragon 7... What do I call the series now? Anyway, I figured they'd have their cameos and then they would distance themselves and Ichiban Kasuga would have his own series. I disagree about the hair, though; I think grey haired Kiryu with the K-pop haircut looks badass. As long as my girl Saeko Mukoda comes back as a playable character, I'll be happy.

As for Ishin!, I never got to play the original on account of not owning a PS3, plus I don't think it was released outside of Japan. I'm down for Kiryu & Co. in what looks like Edo Period Japan.

Two Yakuza games were never released out of Japan, Ishin, and one which I do not remember anymore. But My wallet is weeping louder, the closer 2023 is 🤣
