I do have to chuckle over the Lincoln Project's latest ad...
"It's taken nearly 4 years to get the crowds to the size he wanted..."

Apparently, they really are getting under Trump's skin and into his head.

Yeah... it would be. There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.

There is also the psychological hit of things. Any group is likely to tighten it's ranks when people are calling them names.  The more you scream that a group is collectively X.. the more likely that group is to defend itself en masse rather than give out the ones within it that are utter ****.

You know the quote works the other way pretty much, right?

People hate getting stereotyped na dblamed for what others did that happen to look like them  when it occurred just a while ago but don't have a problem blaming an entire group for hwta happened centuries ago.

I never owned a slave. I'm not going to apologize for slavery. I won't ap;ologize for  what ****stain family member did  recently - certainly not gonna accept blame for what happen before I existed. lmao

But, certain people m(ie. psycho self hating whites) won't accept repsonsibi8lity for what they did themselves.

But, I get it. Whites aren't human. You know, slavery and violence and group prejudice never happened before whites existed. L0L

And the fact that the Democratic party is being push to the insane left is why the Dems might have to reform into new party, specially since right now they're looking more like the Socialist Corporate party.

Look up Joe Biden's platform, it's clearly center-right.

And one could make the argument that both parties are the "Socialist Corporate party", as they both seem to favor socialism among the 1% and also the military.  Everyone else, good luck!

A bit of a reach.  But at least it's something other than "the Jews".

It wont boost his ratings, so unlikely to have any effect. People, other than his usual gullible goons and voters seems to have large forgotten his antifa lies. Speaking of Trump lies, it seems like he's completely unable to get even near a plausible lie at times....

I favor socialism for none. I'll keep mine, you keep yours. I'll see to my business, you see to yours. Say whatever you like. Fly whatever flag you like. Pray to any God you like. Smoke what you like, sleep with how you like, Buy guns, read books, associate with whomever. Don't mess with me and mine, don't tell me what to do. Stay off my private property and out of my business and we'll be good.

You really should go back to Breitbart for your "answers". The last few you got from JBZD are just crappy Russian memes, in this case a 2016 election results by county map.

Here's what the protests actually look like on a map per NBC.

You beat me to it. There have been a LOT more protests than that. However, most of them have not ended in looting, burning, and murdering. Mainly New York, LA, Chicago, St. Louis, DC, & Minneapolis with a few more here and there. What do all those cities have in common? Besides total control by Democrats? High crime. Criminals are going to be criminals, especially if there is a big distraction like a protest going on.

Yeah, the "few more here and there" is what's difficult to find accurately represented on a map. At least from a quick search. The protests also map fairly closely to population density. Unsurprisingly, sparsely populated, rural areas are unlikely to see any protests worth noting.

Crime rates also seem to be higher in higher pop density areas. It's almost as if... there's more to all of this than red vs blue. Perhaps poverty rates? Nah...

Don't you just love it when people get causality all mixed up? I've seen low brow, IQ60 people commenting on the Fox website, completely convinced that poor people all congregate at Democratic urban centers, because being discriminated against, repressed, living in poverty and ghettos is what they prefer and the Democratic party is the only one that can offer them this (slightly paraphrased by me).

Rather than getting their logic straight, that living in poverty, raised in slums and ghettos leads to people voting Democratic rather than Republican (and not the other way around)

Just too difficult a concept for the average Fox troglodyte I guess...

Heck even that isn't as simple as it seems. Some of the poorest areas in the US are rural and crime is at it's absolute lowest in rural areas. Of course pop density it lowest there but still in violent/property crimes  per capita rural is always lower than urban. There are many reasons why and I'm sure I don't know them. But one guess would be firearms. If you live in a rural area you have them because you are mostly on your own. Breaking into houses is an excellent way to die.

I've never really seen any of the characters in Gone With the Wind as positive. They are all pretty terrible people. Rhett and Scarlett are both anti-heroes. That being said, this reaction to the film is not new. It goes back to when it was released.

My guess is that its easier to ignore what other people are doing when they're a mile away than when they're in the apartment above you, and there's less opportunity for crimes of opportunity when you have to go out of your way to see if there's an opportunity.

I've never seen Gone With The Wind, but I've heard Tara's theme 1,000,000,000 times too many.  HBO's plan, to add statements about the historical context and the portrayals of the characters are probably about as good as they can do.  I'd imagine Margaret Mitchell would be more pilloried in the modern day if not for her charitable works, including paying towards tuition for Morehouse medical students and helping add seats for African-Americans at local hospitals.

There is that. Another factor is small rural communities are pretty tight knit. An urban apartment building houses hundreds of people who are strangers to one another. A small town most everyone knows everyone else. And their families for a generation or more. People are more likely to commit crimes against strangers. Other than crimes of passions, etc.
