Finally found the time and inclination to grind out that final skill point in Sekiro. Last two achievements down. So that's that. Onwards to something else. I could go back to wrap up the final achievements of Cuphead.

Edit:

Well that was the wrong thread, how did we end up discussing played games here? 😮

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

I remember this video being recommended to me and thinking "Who the **** is Joseph Anderson and why should I care?" I would gladly listen to anyone that has the answer....I"m not watching that video though.

For a more serious reply, Joe's both an author and avid gamer, and unlike most people reviewing games he plays on a god tier level of skill. And sometimes without him realizing it that comes across as strangely disconnected from the reality of most gamers, a trifle arrogant, or both perhaps. Like his Furi review, where he shows the game stats of his first playthrough and goes all "I was pretty bad there, I died 84 times in total" and casually says things like "overall I thought Hollow Knight was too easy".

He also really makes the best April Fools jokes on YouTube.

Heh.

I don't know if news but news to me.

Old World - 4x game from CivIII and IV designer, which looks live Civ but aparently isnt. Between this, and Humankind, we seem to get multiple "like-Civ-but-not-really" games, which I dig. A lot.

XCOM Spinoff - I am a bit confused but not unintrigued. EDIT: Gameplay Overview. EDIT2: Only 17 pounds, and 50% off before release?!

^ For a while there I thought it was Torchlight III. The art styles seem similar.

^ No word yet on Linux version of Desperados 3. It's probably using a lot of the same tech (Unity?) as Shadow Tactics (which had a Linux version), so I'm hopeful. It's a day 1 buy for me if so.

I'm still waiting for the day I'll look into this thread and you inform me of Saints Row the movie.

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

When I read that I was afraid Statham would play the boss, but the guy in the video actually works really well for leader of the Saints.

Funny you would say that. I modeled my boss after Statham:

Can't seem to make a male character. Laura Bailey is too good in the role. Of course if they got Kath Soucie I'd swap in a heartbeat.
