Yup. It's actualy already in the beta (or was unless it was patched out). I actually really like the feature, and I already sacrificed one of my multiple cats. For science of course.... or an achievement. 

@Wormerine - where did they hide the horrendous fur grinder? 

Yeah I haven't run into it and assumed it was a DLC thing. Where would it be?

That's just wrong on ever so many levels. I mean, Dragon Age is a great franchise and all, but the Harvester should never be replicated. I'd hate to witness a Harvester with floppy ****erspaniel ears. Someone, stop the devs!

It's in Dark Cupboard. I received an official letter about it, even during beta. Now when the whole thing is out I am sure you can find it by yourself.

 

For anyone interested when you sacrifice the pet to it it will remember its apperance and its buff. Then you can create a pet by choosing the look, the bonus and name it. Therefore you can have your favourity pet, with your favourite buff and give it your favourite name!

It looks like you can call them anything you like. Pretty neat feature!

I was planning on using that mod that removes pet bonuses and leaves them as cosmetics. I think i will deactivate it for pets made with this, so the pets have an effect given by the machine and the soul of the sacrificed pet.

I noticed you can't feed Concelhaut's skull to the Critter Cleaver (I wanted a floating skull with the abilities of Abraham). Is this a bug or intended?

Maybe he's not classified as "critter".

Damn it, I planned to feed the skull (and then reload after the cheevo ding). What about the spectral ones?

 

Also, did anyone try to shred Sawyer's cat yet and does the game set your PC on fire as it should? 

You can't feed Nemnok or Concelhaut to it, haven't tried the DLC pets yet but everything else is fair game

No Nemnok, either? I'm guessing because Eder actually has specific dialogue regarding both Concelhaut and Nemnok that he hides them in his pack whenever you use the Critter Cleaver. Either that, or it's because their abilities are too strong.

So, this was another disappointment. I thought I would be granted the ability to mix and match pet bonuses but it's just cosmetic, so much for that optimism...

I mean yeah, you'd probably want to keep concel or nemnok for the banter but with actually useful bonuses
