Icelander 21
I just saw the announcement trailer and have wish listed the game at Steam. I am looking for ward to playing it. But I would like to see it at GOG or at the very least DRM free on Steam. Is there any official announcement from Obsidian as to whether Outer Worlds will be DRM free at Steam and if it will be at the GOG store front in the future?I made this GOG wishlist for Outer Worlds.https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/outer_worldsHopefully many people will vote. Thanks Edited December 7, 2018 by Icelander

Icelander 21
You know we're getting Windows store, right. Maybe for future Obsidian games but Outer Worlds is listed on Steam..... The publishing deal with Private Division predates the Microsoft buy out. So anything is possible regarding this or at least I hope so. Are we so certain that even other future Obsidian games will be exclusive to the Microsoft store...even if it is likely the case? Yonjuro 806
...I made this GOG wishlist for Outer Worlds. https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/outer_worlds Hopefully many people will vote. ... Thanks. Upvoted on GOG. There are 3 kinds of games, DRM-free and interesting, DRM-free and uninteresting and DRMed therefore uninteresting. This one looks potentially interesting, so I hope there will be a DRM-free version of it.
SonicMage117 961
I thought I left a comment on the thread earlier. The Steam version will likely have Denuvo, at least I have a hunch it will. God bless Denuvo! Quote Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother? What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest. Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

evilcat 584
The publishing seems to be done by private division, and it is on Steam (info page). So GOG is just another shop. And of course it is good one, and generally user friendly, so if possible sure, bring it it.
Skie Nightfall 107
Yea, please get it to GOG as well. I mean PoE, Tyranny and F:NV are there! 2 Quote ✔ Certified Bat Food

Yunikon 1
With the Microsoft acquisition this could be the last chance of having an Obsidian game on GOG, so please make it happen!
hilfazer 270
Obsidian can now put their game on Epic Game Store. Epic will surely be happy to have UE4 game in their store. 88% of sales going to developer is not bad at all. 3 Quote Vancian =/= per rest.

Zoraptor 3,542
Wouldn't be surprised if it's a Kingdom Come type situation and it does get to GOG with a delay of some kind. Will definitely not be holding my breath for a day 1 release there though, much as I would like one. Not much point having Denuvo any more, cracked first day on JC4 so you're just left with the performance degradation and SSD destroying* aspects of it. *de do de do de do do do

Not sure what the DRM situation is in the Epic Games Store, but you have to like the cut the developers get in it.
jimnms 7
I only buy new games on GOG. I still use Steam, but I only buy games if they have a deep discount or redeemed from a bundle. So if you want my money, and I want to give it to you, release it on GOG and I will buy it day one. Otherwise, I'll pick it up in a few years when it's 75% off on Steam.

Are we so certain that even other future Obsidian games will be exclusive to the Microsoft store...even if it is likely the case? It's possible MS knew of this IP and this IP was considered a lucrative asset when MS considered Obsidian for acquisition. Let's hope Obsidian is in good hands, because with the acquisition, MS may own the IP.
TMZuk 149
I'll buy it when it's available DRM-free. Until then, I'll just wait for Cyberpunk 2077.
