Arimintai's ones? I think the blend in exceptionally well and in many cases are better than the ones in game. -

JerekKruger replied to iscalio's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Are you willing to redo some of the default portraits Arimintai? I ask because the filter results in the some wonky results for some portraits (the Pale Elf and Wood Elf female portraits that are based on the same model end up with their left eye looking really weird). -
Boeroer noticed that as a result of this thread being necro'd, people were voting in the polls even though the results had long been submitted to Obsidian. There was then some discussion around what the floaty things on the BIB flag were (almost certainly lightning) and Silent Winter suggested flamingoes (which they kind do look like). Fluffle made the joke about how the name should therefore really be the Pink Isle Pirates and, referring back to Boeroer's observation, I suggested in jest that Fluffle should add a poll on whether we should change the name. He did. Tl;dr: it's a joke (one would hope the name Pink Isle Pirates would give that away even without the context).

Half-sword modal with dual-wielding?
JerekKruger replied to gGeorg's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Minor correction: longsword refers* to what in D&D is called a bastard sword (what D&D calls a longsword is actually an arming sword or knightly sword). Moreover these were almost always used two handed, though they could be wielded one handed. The swords in the picture you show are longswords. I mention this because longswords were the quintessential half swording weapon. Anyway, totally agree with your point. The idea of half swording whilst dual wielding is ridiculous. That said, half the modals are ridiculous (the sabres annoys me most). Personally I'd suggest giving half swording to great swords instead (they cover both longswords and larger two-handed swords which would fit the style better). Of course your often wield an estimate in a half swording fashion too (they are basically the evolution of this style, completely abandoning cutting to be better at it). *These are all modern terms. Typically they would have been referred to as "sword" in their own era. -
That's from something right? I want to say Red Dwarf?

Luckily Dadfire isn't like the Matrix at all and there is no correlation between dying in it and dying in real life.
-
Just like lashes from Spiritual Weapons I guess. Out of interest has that been fixed or are they still doing so?
-
Okay that's awesome. Do you know if its intended or a bug?

The deepest secret is this: if you die in the Deadfire you (will eventually) die in real life!

The nerf to the Evoker's unique ability was pretty big too, at least to my mind.

True. I dunno, at 5 Focus I'd probably use the occasional Whispers of Treason. It takes basically no time to build back the lost Focus and Charm is a brilliant form of Crowd Control.

Agreed. The thing is, this pointless argument starts the same way every time: Sonic comes into a thread where there's even a hint of disagreement and spouts his nonsense. If he would simply focus on posting about the game rather than his idea that everyone's out to get him, and accept that people can disagree with each other without it being some sort attempt at suppressing dissenting ideas, then this argument wouldn't keep coming up. So the onus is really on Sonic to change.

No idea how powerful it is, but currently the Soul Blade subclass is getting a -5 Focus discount on all Cipher powers, not just Shred ones.

Soul Blade Focus discount applying to all Powers
JerekKruger posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
The Soul Blade's descriptions says that "Shred Cipher spells cost less focus", however the Soul Blade passive ability says that "Cipher abilities cost -5 Focus". Creating a Soul Blade and picking Whispers of Treason seems to confirm that the discount applies to all powers since in the spell hotbar Whispers is labelled at 5 Focus cost and is not greyed out when you have 5 focus. -
"Swift" inspiration needs buffs.

Is action not synonymous with recovery reduction in Deadfire like it was in PoE? -

Or make it more similar to DaoM and, as well as +5 Dex, give it a bonus to recovery speed. It needn't be 50%.
