They are. Thompson wanted to ban games for silly reasons. Sarkeesian provided a *critique of trends in games. *more specifically a painfully moderate critique that constantly felt the need to reassure the viewer that they're not a bad person and that liking these games did not make them a person. You make it sound like it is just some Mary Sue with the most nicest of intentions Nah, that girl is a con man So she was a man all along eh?

Rand Paul trying to spin this as a call for more negotiation.

Human's racial bonus is actually useful on hard+!

What the heck are you guys doing that 20 seconds worth of base time isn't enough to help swing fights? Fighting Spirit isn't head and shoulders over other racials, but it's pretty nice on monks since they can serve as tanky dps who can convert incoming damage into crowd control, so getting knocked down to half health often doesn't necessarily mean they have to retreat to the back lines. And seriously, you think the dwarf bonus is better? Really, guy? Really? Is it 20 seconds now? It's still listed as 5 seconds on the wiki. That said, most of my melee rarely get down to 50% endurance, and I'd rather have something making it less likely for that to happen than something that requires it happen. The wiki is worthless. -
I just want art that's pleasant to look at. I remember this one artist who used to be on public tv (he died of aids sadly ) would draw beautiful pictures in like ten minuets. That guy was awesome... No more happy trees to drawn by him now that he's dead...

This is the part I liked. I honestly don't see this as forced diversity. If I read it correctly at least. Maybe you noticed something I didn't, but I never read any part saying there should be POC in the game.

Don't blame you for not wanting to watch it. It's long and kinda boring. At any rate it literally shows game journalists using the study as a framework for how the gamer, "identity" should be treated. The study itself is unreliable; I was skeptical of it's conclusions the moment I saw it. That wasn't really the point though.

It's worth pointing out that the IE games also had a lot of quest XP (where each person got the same amount), so it wasn't a full 600% boost. Not so much in BG1. -

Considering in the IE games your experience is divided between each party member this new xp system is pretty tame. -
Being faster than your foes can make enemies easy to kite. When I solo'ed the beta with a chanter, being faster than all but the speediest of foes couldn't touch me while I built up chants. The few enemies who were fast enough to catch up with me were too weak to matter.

War with Iran is not politically viable. They won't try it. Put your fears to rest.

One would have to be pretty dense to think that women in the illegal sex trade industry wouldn't be the victims of rape and violence. I don't think anyone is denying that. Especially since a lot of those women are straight up slaves.

Now I feel left out. T_T I put you in at first, but edited you out cuz' they're usually more hostile to bruce than you.
-
They don't have to be for war with Iran. They can just ignore what he said. I think you are overestimating the importance of this speech and the republican reaction to it. They just want to be seen as pro-Israel as possible. Most of them know better than to start a war with Iran.

I know that it's kool to hate on Bioware, but I think DA:I is the best they've done since Baldur's Gate. The kind of pseudo open-world style they use is fairly reminiscent of BG games, and while there is some filler... well... only at the same level as BG had. And considering it (finally) introduced the tactical combat to console, it's by far the best console effort they've made. The same level of filler as BG? The game requires you to do completely unrelated side quests in order to continue the main story. This is not the case in BG.

"Obama is so stupid, elect me as God-Emporor and I will do this within a year." Not sure how realistic your idea is, but I liked this line and your confidence. EDIT: For some reason my posting box is all white and generally messed up. It seems I couldn't quote you properly.

Rand Paul is running for president. He's pandering. Expect more pandering until he wins the republican nomination or fails to obtain it.
-
A republican president? Depends on which one. Mitt Romney: Who knows? All of Mitt Romney's ideals are unknown as all he ever did was pursue the presidency; he would say and act however he thought would get him into the white house. Once there how he governs is a total mystery. John McCain: This event wouldn't have happened as we would already be at war with Iran... and everyone else.

The only pre-buffing that was bad in the IE games were the ones that lasted long enough that you could rest and still have them active. Making sure that doesn't happen is all PoE had to do to make pre-buffing just fine.

People who are outspoken feminists getting rape and death threats definitely constitutes as an unwelcoming environment for feminists, in my opinion. Self-identified gamergaters in the appropriate *chan sites talking in great detail about bombarding them with those rape and death threats constitutes as GG being responsible for it. (Not in the collective responsibility sense - ie. every gamergater is personally responsible for the actions of those individuals -, but in the sense of "some people who are gamergaters do send those things".) Anyone on the internet with an opinion gets rape and death threats. Or, maybe that was just me. At the very least that's been my experience and has always been my impression of the internet.
