Well, I just used the Light mastery spell, then hit her and healed used healing once or twice (I could regain half my health for one casting which took no FP) Imagine if I had been using two sabers instead of one. As it was, my wisdom and charisma were in the mid thirties.

What would you have the next 'Darth' be?
Tanuvein replied to Sithmasteryoungy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think Kotor 3 should stay away from Darth names unless we get real sith (Darth Sidious, Darth Bane, Darth Imperious) instead of Dark Jedi who call themselves sith (Darth Malak, Darth Traya). I named the chick in one of my playthroughs Vultara Nefaris, might not be a bad name. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? Malak and Revan restarted the Sith in the Republic area. Therefore they are the sith. And Traya WAS a Sith, til she stopped being one, at which point, she stopped being Darth Traya. -

And he fell to the dark side because he killed his master to defend the Republic? Genius! -
Did the Exile take the Ebon Hawk?
Tanuvein replied to Sithmasteryoungy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Huh? The planet is already dead, its just being held together. Plus what caused the wound was the many-times-mentioned death of thousands on both sides. -
tomb on Korriban when playing dark side
Tanuvein replied to Mach Blake's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
For the PrC, you need dark side MASTERY. Meaning, full darkness with the stat bonus given from it. -
Yea, I think it would be cool to be a training Padawan on a mission with your mentor, and you two eventually have to split (just as long as he doesn't die, that's too cliche) to do the most good, or you kill him and become Sith, and the story goes on.

They should both be exactly the same only the technical details will vary. Each platform has its own tech forum so it's rather pointless really. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. The games are content-identical. The bugs are different of course, but if what paladin says is true, that doesn't matter sense the forums are different. So the other forums, story and spoiler and strategy discussions, would be identical, minus perhaps a reference to using the mouse or using an analog stick, which is inconsequential.

About Redemption? Huh? I guess all that killing, betrayal and lying was great for my Karma after stopping the Mandalorians from destroying the galaxy :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last time I checked KOTOR1 didn't happen during the Mandalorian wars. Also, last time I checked Malak wasn't a mandalorian. Maybe it was all just a dream. . .! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh... you're Revan... You are known for stopping the Mandalorians' entire army.... -
If you are really so desperate for sex, I'm free tomorrow night

Except Kreia didn't have her powers returned at that point. She had been cut off from the Force, and was slowly regaining her ability. And frankly, an old woman with little Force control is not likely to take out an immortal Sith Lord with a lightsaber anyway. And I guess I'm the odd one out in the naked fighting thing: I didn't think it was odd at all. It didn't even really catch my attention til I noticed I could say 'Put clothes on! OMG JEDI ROBES YAY!"

Changed Endgame, Droid Planet Explanations
Tanuvein replied to Trom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually, the regeneration of vitality is the BIGGEST flaw in the game, imo. While it's true it makes no difference in combat, it does lead to you always having full vitality (hp's) whenever you go into a new combat, which makes it terribly terribly easy. I played the game on difficult on my first walkthrough, and never once died. Ever. The only time I came close to dying was when I was playing with just Atton and Kreia on board of the spaceship in Nar Shaddaa, and all those droids were rocking me pretty badly. Even then I still managed to scrape out a victory. Other than that, it was all terribly easy. And I didn't even wait for my HPs to regenerate, but the regen rate is so fast that within a minute or so, you have full HPs again. I finished the game with over 200 medpacks / advanced medpacks and the red ones combined. I never used a single one of the red ones, and they were always in short supply in KotOR1. The implants vs Con was not a bad idea, although I would have appreciated being aware of it before I started my first game, as I gave my character 10 CON, and was thus never able to use even the smallest implant. As for the answers to the questions, good stuff, thanks for posting that and making us aware of it. It's still sad they had to cut so much stuff, though Creston <{POST_SNAPBACK}> About the medpacs: Really? I never used them in either. I'm replaying KotOR I right now, I just finished Leviathan. I've used three medpacs, and those were all during the tourney duels on Taris. I don't really take damage much, and when I do, a force drain fixes it right up. Of course, my two companions (Canderous and HK-47 regen) and I have force drain... but, on the other hand, if you are lightside, you have the heal spells, and FP regenerate extremely fast in KotOR I, just like hte second. Jedi powers, in both games, make them so heinously easy that there is never a challenge except for when you don't HAVE those FPs (a few fights at the beginning of KotOR I, the non-mainchar portions of KotOR II). Even then, both are just too easy. I think they should make a more radical difficulty slider so that, as you raise it, the enemies AC and saving throws and HP and all that good stuff just keeps getting higher, and higher, til they are unbeatable, and if you put it all hte way down, you can kill everything in one hit. It wouldn't be that difficult to implement, and since you can change it in game EVERYONE would be happy. -
That's funny because it semi-contridicts itself. "Most men never ever ever admit they are raped, but the girls do. But more girls are raped." Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but I just found it funny Anyway, most males who are raped have it done when they are children, whereas for females its around 14-25 (not a precise number, since I don't feel like looking it up)

Changed Endgame, Droid Planet Explanations
Tanuvein replied to Trom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They've mostly all worked together for many years, so its not that, I'd expect. Note that he says they were surprised people liked it. I don't think they were pleased with the final product, but they didn't have much choice. -

How do you make NPCs Jedi?
Tanuvein replied to Sithmasteryoungy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Everyone is better as a Jedi, heh, but you cna leave them as non jedi if you'd prefer. Handmaiden and Atton do make great Jedi though. You need to be level 15 or 18 to turn Handmaiden (after three sparring matches), and you just need to talk to those Twi'lek's to change Atton. You do, of course, need the influence still. -
Changed Endgame, Droid Planet Explanations

Heheh: "Yes, the droid planet was awesome and we loved it and worked incredibly hard on it. But in the end, we didn't have time and had to cut the whole planet out, so we are very happy!!!!!@#$%^" You can almost hear him crying. -
That's not what you meant by "story oriented"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correct.

Lie and say you'll help him, then you get to kill them all later with better odds. -
*cough*Fallout 2*cough* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't say that's story oriented. The main story is almost negligable, even though it is the pushing force. But 98% of the game content is just interaction and side-stories.
-
Does anyone know if uninstalling the game, but keeping the save game folder, destroys the record of how many vids you have?
-
You know, based on how the only other story oriented Black Isle game ended (PS:T), there could be about six totally different endings depending on what you do. That is, if they finished them.

This seems to be a question that people need...
Tanuvein replied to greylord's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Malachor V was already the final battle, in terms of importance. The Mandalorians were broken, it was their last stand. But at the same time, the Exile was losing the battle there. Thus, as an act of desperation, he and Bao-Dur made the weapon and used it. Maybe it didn't end the battle (in fact, its likely the Mandalore had forces on neighboring planets and in space beyond the range of the weapon), alone, but it killed a LOT of people from both sides and was a horrible thing. Based on the dialogue, the Exile and Bao-Dur did not expect that magnitude of destruction. EDIT: The Council was against the war because they had not finished watching and thinking. They did not have a course of action yet, and so decided to wait. Had that happened, the Mandalorians would have killed billions more before they themselves were killed. -

Tanuvein replied to greylord's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Revan could have been at the planet when the weapon was used, I suppose, but KotOR II clearly states that Revan was not there by saying 'Revan was not there'. What Canderous said in the first one probably meant it was Revan's strategies that defeated him at Malachor. A general doesn't have to be on a planet to fight there. -

Tanuvein replied to greylord's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This was explained in game. Revan was off elsewhere, while your character was leading the soldiers on Malachor V. The Jedi/Republic forces were losing, but the Exile kept them fighting on because the place was critical to Revan's plans, or so the Exile believed. Bao-Dur, either at the blessing or direct command of the Exile, built the weapon that turned hte planet into what you see. It killed everything around from both sides, or near enough (there were some survivors, just not a whole lot). From what I understand, it killed by condensing everything and/or destroying the Force in the lifeforms.
