  1. er, well... ^__^;;; please don't take this the wrong way, but I tend to want to handle all of my art myself. I will do the coloring, just not right now. ^__^; Thanks for the offer though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, he/she could just print it off and color it, and you can color hte original the way you want. Then everyone is happy
  2. I don't recall this at all, though I didn't read the subtitles, only listened to the VAs, since they were so damn good.
  3. Exactly. This thing that seems 'weird' is called sexy <3
  4. What? Where did you see this information? Link me, please.
  5. Try to gain more influence. If you want to be sure its not a bug, or just want to skip gaining influence, save on a seperate file and use the save game editor to up his influence. If it doesnt' work then... uh... ask Obsidian to help.
  6. i think they did that to allow you to be able to turn either way, light or dark even later into the game. playing darkside i noticed how many times some of the other characters are trying to convince the exile not to fall to the darkside and was tempted to back to being lightside. i only stuck with being a sith because i had already finished the game as a lightside character. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a fair point, and I'll rephrase what I said. I didn't like the fact that I was constantly having to tell the game what kind of person the Exile had been at Malachor 5. I would have liked to fix his past motivations and behaviour earlier on, in order to develop a better understanding of the character, while keeping his future path completely open. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to disagree. I think it allows you to change your characters perception on the past. It seems to indicate that, at that point, you and Revan were on the verge of falling, but still not embraced by the dark side. This also fits with the fact that no Force user has returned from the darkside except that one fellow from the movies, since you can still be a non-dark side Force user. Whether you went for murder, for adventure, because you thought it was right or just because you loved Revan, is largely effected by your current perceptions. If you fall to the dark side, maybe things would seem a little different... sure, you went to stop the Mandalorians... but it was a jolly good time killing them all! Also, you could have gone for more than one reason.
  7. Psh, staying on topic is asking too much from non-linear gamers!
  8. I enjoyed FFX-2 , not as much as X but then X-2 has my favourite ,the job system. I think I found it easier because I'd gotten to know the characters over X , otherwise the prospect of playing a game based around three girls probably wouldnt have appealed, despite being able to dress them up in skimpy little outifits. 1000 words is worth getting to that part of the game alone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hm, I thought FFX was a horrible game. I did enjoy FFX-2, though. And not just because of the beloved FFV job system reborn <3
  9. Atton was the only one I was able to make into a Jedi. I thought I had influence with Handmaiden and Bao-Dur, but they dont say anything about making them into Jedi. I'm almost to the end and it seems I've missed a lot <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gotta spar with the White Headed one three or four times - at least level 16.
  10. Why, though? Did I miss a reference to this in the game? Who's to say that destroying the Force will have any negative effects at all, beyond a handful of Jedis and force sensitives losing their special abilities? The Force may link all life, but it doesn't necessarily sustain it. And the exile proves that life can exist without the force. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is kinda hte whole point of the game. Kreia is interested in the Exile because he lost his connection to hte force and strived on - it was his own presonal abilities that allowed him to survive. She also wants to know how he could just willingly walk away from the Force and live a life based on his own merit. When a Sith, she was strong and powerful. When Sion and Nihilus beat her and stole her powers, she felt how weak and frail she was. She wanted to learn how you could do something she couldn't, and at the same time, use you to destroy the Force so that such weakness would not be in her. The Force was a drug to her, she couldn't stop using it. Also, as your apprentice, she wanted to teach you the things she saw to go with your strength. Her intention wasn't to kill the whole world - that's just silly. She just wanted to make it without the Force, the thing she hated and love so much at once. ~~~~~ EDIT: Also, I don't want to ever have JRPG style story telling on a computer - I'd hate it. That's not why I play CPRGs. If I want that, I play JRPGs. I'm not saying one style can't be put on another system, but I don't want them to replace each other (though JRPGs desperately need a new story if they are going to tell you it with no interaction!).
  11. I'm sure all Sith would be the same if they came to the realisation she did that the force has a will. That makes the Sith code not only wrong , but plays you right into the hands of the "slaver". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I disagree, I think most would happily delude themselves that they were still in control.
  12. Redemption is only completed when you save the planet, I think. I don't remember the other, but there are at least three people you can get to join you. There may be more, but I didn't find any. I don't remember if this closes the quest, or you simply go with the battle and then it is finished. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, I tended not to look at my quest list often, generally going by what I remembered.
  13. Now, I liked the ending, even if it wasn't what I wanted. Though most of the haters seem to be gone now, I figure this may still interest some. This is a message from a programmer at OBsidian (don't know if he worked on KotOR II or not). To me, it suggest that he basically is saying they were forced to end it that way for whatever reason. Again, I don't really care, but thought it may bring some of you peace. Also, to read it in context as well as other responses, go here: http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewt...414657&forum=95 Frankly, while I speak for myself, I can also say that some of us are getting kind of tired of seeing the Kotor2 "bashing" show up on these NWN2 forums. I think a lot of you guys are failing to realize that making a game isn't as dreamy as simply sitting down and saying "hey, let's do this and that and this...and it will be done when we say it's done." Nope, sorry...it just doesn't work that way. The reality of the business, at least for now is that we answer to "other factors". While I also realize that some of you do "get" this, you guys seem to be far and few between. With that being said, I think it should also be noted that a large majority of the NWN2 team is different than the Kotor2 team. On top of that, it's also a completely different and unrelated publisher. The bottom line is this... If we had all the time in the world, then by all means we'd give you guys all what you want. We value honest, meaningful, insightful, and creative feedback and suggestions. But please also keep in mind that there are timelines that we have to work within and features do have to be prioritized. I hope you guys can understand that. So, from this point forward please make an honest effort to refrain from mentioning/bashing Kotor2 in these forums. And PLEASE, don't come on here with an attitude like we've "wronged" you and you just "can't trust" us anymore and that you're going to "admonish" us for something that we may or may not have had direct control over. Thanks.
  14. I don't think its possible... I believe Bao-Dur is the most quickly turnable Jedi
  15. That is the only crystal of its sort in the game.
  16. Hmmm. I don't like "mixing styles" that much. Light side: Boring Force powers --> GUARDIAN! (Str 17+) Dark Side: Nice powers, amusing dialogue options --> CONSULAR! (Wis 17+) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tend to play mine the other way around I figure you can do more good as someone who can do more than swing a light saber. Silly Fighter class.
  17. I should actually try Force Lightning one of these days. Even with my dark char in KotOR I, I didn't use it, since I was a Guardian and put my powers elsewhere.
  18. I think I'd understand why someone didn't like the game before I understood that Maybe.
  19. You will be pissing Force for weeks, I guess. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Feel the Force!"
  20. Check the "Good Book": One bite is enough. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What if you just turn it into applejuice and drink it?
  21. What? I never said I was semi professional. That was the thread starter. I said I had a few stories and books published, but that is all. I'm an anthropologist (well, currently a student again to get my doctorate), not a writer. I just wrote a bit when I was younger because I enjoyed it, and later because it was easy money (yes, I'm a sell out). I do, however, hope to write a book one some of the things I've studied sooner or later.
  22. A dark side you is supposed to be there and vanish. But Revan is supposed to talk to you first.
  23. Well, photoshop's what I have at the moment, so I'll probably just stick with that since I'm lazy. ^_^; I was thinking about how Atton can be made DS in kotor 2 but how you never got the chance to make Carth DS in kotor 1. It would've been so interesting to be able to turn him... or perhaps what if he couldn't handle his emotions and actually became dark if Revan got killed in the Outer Rim? Sort of turned out creepy, I guess...? I'm more partial to this one though since I worked more in contrasts and tone to stylize it: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> These two are very nice, and would be great but one thing: The veins are too large, and look more like scars. It just doesn't blend in as well. The second one is awesome. It reminds me of the old Batman cartoon.
