  1. There are 2 or 4 different beginnings. Which one you get depends on how the previous two games ended. The beginning of the game shows a cinematic of a scene that will take place later on in the game. The cinematic shows something shocking, like a vision of Revan being killed or in pain or a party member dying. This cinematic was a vision. The new protagonist will possess supernatural foresight and precognition. This "beginning" doesn't have to be the actual beginning; it could occur somewhere toward the beginning. This vision could occur as a result of an injury and when you wake up, then the game starts going, or like I said, it could occur after the game has already been going for a few minutes or so. It could occur while the new protagonist is learning. The scene that this vision show will occur somewhere between 3/4 to 7/8 through the game. So, yeah, pretty close to the end, as you might expect. Kind of predictable, but hey, I'm brainstorming.
  2. think about it: you could yank someone's weapon right out of their hand(s). I mean, Force Jump is awesome, but Force Push/Pull seems more realistic in the Star Wars Universe and plus it's a lot more useful. I mean, if they had Force Pull in K3, whether or not you could pull a weapon out of someone's hand(s) would depend a lot on the victim's strength modifiers. I just think that it would be kind of cool...
  3. Single hilt. dualing or dual wield, depending on what class I am. Single blade has a more cinematic feel to it. But dual wield just plain kicks a**. I absolutely hate double-hilted light sabers. Just not my style.
  4. it would have been nice if there were a couple more places where your choices affect how the game is played, though...
  5. Honestly, I think that they should use the Ebon Hawk for the last game. Why? Because they used the Ebon Hawk in the first twi games. So, it would be stupid to use a different ship in the last game. Why use a new ship now or ever, for that matter? They used the Millenium Falcon in all three of the first movies. So, why not use the Ebon Hawk in all three of the KotOR games? It only makes sense. Why get attached to anyother ship. It might be so awesome that we'll be pissed that KotOR is all done. Those of you that want to see a new ship in KotOR 3 obviously are did not become attached to the Ebon Hawk. So, who am I to say that you'll become attached to a new ship. So, I have an idea. How about in KotOR 3, there are parts of the game that you get to fly another ship because the Ebon Hawk is getting repairs or you have to go some place where the Ebon Hawk would be immediately recognized, or your party has to split in two, or you need a ship with special capabilites. Something like that...
  6. finally, someone with some taste in music!
  7. I would have to say that I'm most like Atton simply because I'm more of a Scoundrel than a Soldier. I'm somewhat of a handyman because I have some skills, but I'm not that athletic. I have: Atton's skills, fighting ability, and smartass personality Carth's sensitivity, but not his whinnyness. Also, if dyed my hair brown and grew facial hair, and had a tan leather jacket, I could pull of a Carth look Exile's ability to create bonds at the drop of a hat (I create emotional attachments very easily) And just a dash of HK-47's blood-thirstyness

  9. Whoa, whoa, whoa, back the truck up. Where did you get Metal Gear Solid 2, for PC? I thought that was made for PS 2, only...
  10. Okay, I know damn good and well that there's no one that can stand to play KotOR 1 and KotOR 2 ALL of the time. So, what other games have you been playing recently. I've been kind of going back and forth between my second and third favorite games; K2 and Thief; Deadly Shadows.
  11. I wouldn't be so sure of that. I am of the same opinion, but I still don't think that Revan's gender and alignment should be predetermined, simply because the game wouldn't have near as much replayability.
  12. After downloading the file I posted, extract it using WinRAR into your override file in the kotor II directory. You can then use the cheat that I mentioned in my earlier post to give yourself the armband. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I'll give it a try. I'm really eager to do some exploring.
  13. I'm on my fifth playthrough, third with mira in my party, and I still haven't figured out all of the situations where you can gain influence with Mira. She's pretty stubborn (and pretty hot). I'm really going to enjoy it once I finally convert her.
  14. I know. I started one a few weeks ago, only it was multiple choice, not yes or no.
  15. someone mention the whereami armband I downloaded all of the stuff, including Winrar. So now what do I do?
  16. Revan the White Robes? What the hell is that and how to I get it? Is it a spawned item?
  17. you know, that actually makes a lot of sense. I mean, I'm still inclined to believe that Revan wanted his orders for Admiral Karath to bombard Telos to come from Malak, in order to avoid blame, possibly, but what you said is also a possibility. Rather than going to the droid factory to reprogram the droids to do his bidding (which would make way too much sense to a f*cking idiot like him) Malak bombed Telos in an attempt to destroy the underground[/u] military base and droid factory. I repeat: Underground. No one ever said Malak was smart.
  18. it was canderous that said "Malak bombed Telos." Also, you're not very convincing, saying that you think he (Malak) turned and blew Telos to hell only after he "killed" Revan. I'm sure that's how it went: Malak: "Ha, hahahahaha! Now that Revan is dead I can finally bomb Telos! Admiral Karath, wipe that pathetic planet from the face of the galaxy!" Yes, yes, yes! That's it! They cut the entire droid factory, something they worked their asses off to make (even as a small part of the game) because they couldn't write up a 15 second in-game explanation by one of the HK-50s, that Revan told Malak, in secret, that he wanted Telos destroyed. Not likely, but it never hurts to brainstorm.
  19. Xboxs dont cost $300 do they ? It's not that simple anyway. Even if you spent $300 on an Xbox that would be a flat cost,no upgrades required. Would you $1250 PC bought 4 years ago at that price still be upto the job. If you PC was never a games machine, then it would be. It would also not have set you back over a grand (barely half that). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never said an Xbox costs $300. The original poster that I was talking about did.
  20. I had the same thing happen to me last night...or maybe it was the night before, but anyway, when I fought Visas on the Ebon Hawk, right after the fight was over and Visas was talking to me, T3-M4 shows up just in the nick-of-time with his droid deflector (energy shield) activated, ready to "go-to-town" on Visas. Cute little f*cking T3 coming to rescue me. God, I love that little droid. I'll tell, in spite of all of the cut content and bullsh*t that Obsidian either decided to pull, or had to pull, in order to make Lucas Arts' bullsh*t deadline, my hat is off to you guys. You did a wonderful job with the game. You wrote a great storyline (which, ultimately, got turned into swiss cheese). And you gusy gave T3-M4 a personality and I'll be damned if he isn't included in KotOR 3. But, for the rest of the stuff, call up your road construction crew to fill in all of the plot holes. The glitches don't seem to be to terrible, it's the bugs. It'd be nice if they would just cancel each other out.l
  21. Honestly, even with the risk of bugs and worrying about the system requirements, I'd take a PC over a console, anyday. I like the mouse and the keyboard. And, you know what, I even like the faster load times and the better graphics and the ability to modify saved games and spawn any item that I can think of, and the ability to access any file installed on to my harddrive, i.e. unused content. Actually, if I had to buy one console, I'd get a PS2 simply because there are a lot of great games that you can't get on any other console, and all of the games for PS 1 like Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, and other classics. See, pretty much any game for Xbox that I even give rats ass about I can get for PC. Any other games, like Fable, I don't care about enough to buy an Xbox
  22. I'm getting the feeling that the "Big Green" is going to show up and lay down the "big hurt" on the Mr. Paladin Vers. whatever and Mr. Bad eyesight, so how about whinny-little-bitch #1 and whinny-little-bitch #2 stop being whinny little bitches. Computers have the advantage of not being worthless little plasic boxes that can't do anything more than play a video game and Xbox's have the advantage of...um...wait, wait, wait, just give me a second...um, uh, not having to spend precious-little-time installing the game and not worrying about system requirements. Also, who was that f*cking idiot that was comparing computers to Xbox's based on how much money you waste per year. A gaming computer costing $1800, buying the Xbox for $300 and saving $1500 over an overpriced "gaming computer." That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! You're comparing owning just an Xbos to owning just a computer. Let me ask you something: How many of you that own an Xbox, also own a computer - not necessarily a "gaming machine," but one that is somewhat up-to-date? I know that the combined cost of your computer and your Xbox may not add up to $1500, which is what mine cost and runs KotOR 1 and 2 without a single problem. And, hell I could knock off a couple hundred dollars or so, for stuff that I didn't even need, like a 250GB hard drive, 3.0 GHZ processor, 48x DVD ROM and 32x DVD RW. I could've downgraded quite a bit and it would still be sufficient. So, lets say $1250, just to make things fair.
  23. Hey, vashanti: Your signature, is that actual dialog from the game? If so, how you you get it? Do you get that if Revan was a Dark Side Male?
  24. Maybe you're forgetting that a PC can do more than just play games. As our technology evolves, new games with better graphics will be released and every-once-in-a-while, the console manufacturers will build a better console, capable of playing, not only the new games, but also the older games...well, except for those f*cking Nintendo idiots. Computers do not become obsolete and defunct, like PS one, and, enventually, Xbox one. As better games are released, with higher requirements, you don't just go out and buy a whole new computer, you just update your drivers, maybe install the latest version of DirectX, which is usually on the game disk. You might have to buy new components, like a new graphics card, processor, or expand your memory about as often as new consoles come out, naturally. This is, of course, assuming that your PC is capable of running modern games to begin with. I'm not talking about updating some old 286 to run Doom 3. Things a PC can do: 1. play games 2. surf the net 3. type 4. cut and edit a home movie (if it's in the right format) 5. watch a movie 6. copy, rip, and burn music (and listen to it) 7. develop a computer/video game 8. create a presentation on power point 9. explore the cut content from that game that was still left on the game disks 10. you Xboxers have the modules for the HK Factory and Droid planet and you you can't do a damn thing about it, unless you extract the files and load them onto a what? That's right, boys and girls: A COMPUTER. You have the content on the disks, but you can't play it, unless you have a computer. It's so close, yet so far away. I'm sure there's other things, but I don't have the time to study my computer and calculate all the degrees of usefulness that a computer has, but an Xbox lacks.. Consoles have the advantage of: playing games without wasting an hour installing it being cheaper playing games limited to that console, but then again, there are plenty great games that you only get for PC, so this one is void. Even the cheapest modern PCs are far more useful than any console could ever hope to be and that is a fact. So, take your little toy console and go play a game because that's all you'll ever being able to do with it.
