  1. I guess this was the real world, those would be called "rumors." Nothing is set in stone. "People" also thought that Revan was dead. I have no idea what Revan's intentions were, but he could have "laundered" the orders to Saul Karath. Saul Karath answered to both Revan and Malak and Malak, of course, answers only to Revan. It's entirely possible that Revan wasn't constantly in the presence of Sith Officers and the like. Revan most likely didn't want to take the blame for Telos' destruction so, considering that bombing Telos held some kind of importance, held a private meeting Malak, and or Admiral Karath. And God's sake, let's be honest here, do you guys really think that Malak would order Saul Karath to bomb Telos without Revan's consent? Revan wasn't an idiot brute who wanted to lay waste to everything in sight, like Malak. Probably, all Revan had to do was suggest that Telos be destroyed and Malak was just overjoyed, like-kid-in-a-candystore. Malak: *jumping up and down* Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! My first bombing! I get to give to order to lay waste to REAL planet, with people on it!!! Yay, death and destruction!!!
  2. Well, gee. How hard would it have been for Revan to tell Malak to order Saul to bombard Telos? I mean, how the hell would anyone have known for sure who ordered the attack in the first place? Was it on the news? (A women with a British accent reads): "This morning, at 9:45, Galactic Standard Time, Darth Malak ordered Admiral Saul Karath of the Sith Military Fleet, to lay waste to the surface of the planet Telos. Experts say that causalties should climb to 375 Billion within the hour. Neither Malak, nor Admiral Karath were available for comment." Seriously, how does anyone find this stuff out? "Yeah, I was THERE when Malak order Saul to attack Telos. I heard it first hand!" At least, that's the only way anyone would know for sure because it's not like sh*t like that is broadcasted throughout the galaxy.
  3. make that three. To be honest, I've always thought the same thing about Dark Jedi. They don't necessarily adhere to the Sith teachings, but they are usually employed by the Sith, if not freelance. They simple have evil intentions and use the Force to destructive ends. And the thing about Jolee not being about to use Light Side or Dark Side items: I think the purpose of that was just the way the game was made and not necessarily how it would work in the Star Wars Universe, but I could be wrong and I probably am. There has to be some concrete way to limit what items the characters can and can't use simpley to make things more interesting. There's no "Intentions" meter that gauges whether you're intentions are good or evil, otherwise that be what determines what items you can and can't use. But back on topic, once again: Assuming that The Exile never met Master Kae, with my limited knowledge, I suppose it's possible that Kreia and Kae are the same person. I'm mean, Kreia has the same letters as Kae KrEiA, KAE. Also, on a similar note, has anyone else noticed that Atris and Taris contain the exact same letters? They just moved that "A" to the front and there, you've got Atris. I wonder if there's any connection. Could be...
  4. deciding how kotor 1 and 2 ended at the character creation screen. You know, that idea has crossed my mind I don't know how many times. I guess I never thought it was a very good idea; other people might think it was stupid because it's so direct. No subltety like the questions Atton asked. But really, the time for subtlety and big surprises is over. If Revan and/or The Exile are going to be in KotOR 3, it needs to be decided what class, face, and alignment they are RIGHT at character creation. And I also agree that the characters (Jedi, as well) need to be more blaster and ranged weapon oriented. I mean, in KotOR 2 the unarmed specialist feats were freebees. Why not ever other level up or so, you get 1 or 2 feats that you can use only toward ranged weapons feats, like Blaster or Rifle Focus or Imp. Power Blast, Sniper Shot, Rapid Shot, Precise Shot, etc. Maybe some Ranged Weapon Forms that gives certain bonuses and penalties and whatnot, like the Lightsaber Forms.
  5. Well, it wasn't anything personal. It was just an itch I had to scratch. The internet net is my only opportunity to be an ass, from time to time. So, what is "leet speak" and how to I deciper it, if necessary? And, well, I guess it's better to wait on the patch until it's done properly. E.I. NO NEED TO RUSH IT. JUST GET IT DONE RIGHT. NO POINT IN TRYING TO SATISFY. ANY KIND OF DEADLINE. But maybe if "other things" were not rushed, we would not be pleading for the patch to be rushed.
  6. I wholeheartedly agree with you, playloud, on most of the stuff that you said, like NOT adding a whole bunch of new Force Powers and Feats simply for the sake of adding more. Actually, I think that they should remove a few Force Powers, Like Force Body, Force Barrier, and some other stupid 30-second Force Powers. The hood is good idea, but the thing is it was brought up numerous times as an idea for KotOR 2, by forum members, but the dickheads never did it. So, my guess is they must have some bullsh*t reason for not doing it. And, yes, the masks are the stupidest idea I've ever seen. First, the Vacum Mask in KotOR 1, but Obsidian really got carried away with this mask bullsh*t. One or two, and maybe three is okay, but they added just way too many. Maybe they thought that they looked "cool." The idea about your own personal robe, like the lightsaber crystal in K2, is a good idea. I like your thinking. Maybe even a personalized Lightsaber!!!! Now THAT is a good idea. They had the PC Armband which was a good idea, but only +1 Constitution? Give me a break!!! How about a little more stat boosting. And, also, maybe a personalized headset, like THE Circlet of Saresh in KotOR 1 and all 6 or 7 or them in KotOR 2. The "Leadship" feat idea. Again, I like your thinking. Allowing you to have more party members in your group by gaining a feat or two is a good idea. but I think you would have to be a new character. Perhaps After playing a short amount of time (first planet), you could run into either Revan, or The Exile, who see your potential, and train you. For obvious reasons, they would not be able to come with you on your journey (you don't want to be the newb of the group), but you would have to complete some huge mission for him/her, while he/she does his/her thing elsewhere. Another idea, is you could be somebody who was supposed to become a Padawan, but due to the Jedi Civil War you were unable to train with a Jedi. Therefore, you are FS, but have no training/saber. This allows you to level up like the previous games. And, yes, there needs to be a greater advantage to single wielding. I mean, with Weaponsmaster/Marauder, you got increased melee damage 1,2, and 3. and 3 additional 2-weapon feats, and 3 addition lightsaber feats. I think that they should have similar feats for single wield. I mean, with dual wield, you've got one lightsaber per hand. With single wield, you've got both hands on one lightsaber, yet the only advantage is a higher attack modifier? BULL. SH*T!!! How about in addition to a higher attack modifer, you get 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2, more damage?! I mean in only makes sense. Actually, that could be Dueling 4, 5, and 6. They add attack modifiers and increased damage. YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!!!!! Yes, the faces need to change, not add more. Just enough with the F*CKING SKINHEADS!!! Who's bright idea was THAT!?!?! No more skinheads, damn Neo-Nazi-looking bastards. I have a selection of only 3 or 4 male character faces that I can stand to look at and about 5 or 6 female faces. No more Bardara Streisand-looking bitches. Make them hot, okay? There was a couple of B.S. (Barbara Streisand) looking faces in KotOR 1 and couple more ugly ones in KotOR 2. Please, no more ugly chick faces. Okay, I'm done.
  7. Honestly, I think Kreia is way too old to be Handmaiden's mother. I mean, if you think about, Handmaiden is like, what, in early to mid twenties. She's pretty young and Kreia's a f*cking antique. She's probably like 75 or 80, at least. So, if she's Handmaiden's mother, she would've given birth at around 50 or so. Even with the Star Wars Universe being as royally f*cked up as it is, I find it unlikely that she would still be *clears throat* "active" at that age, in terms of trying to have a child. Also, wasn't Kreia teaching youngsters at the Trayus Acedemy while everyone else was "outside" fighting a war. Once the battle started, she probably told everyone to get under their desk, crouch down, and put their hands over their head. "O.K. children, we've practiced this drill before, only now it's not drill. What do we do when theirs a war "occuring" on outside?"
  8. Well, I'm having a little trouble getting mine to work. I put folders "TDATA", "UDATA", and "UDATA" (2) in the saved game folder and all of the modules in the module folder. And when I go to Load Game, the 3 saved game files appears as quick saves for each of my 4 characters. But each of the quick saves appear as blank screens. So I try to load each one and it freezes my game up. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Am I supposed to put the entire file folders (UDATA, TDATA, etc.) into the saved game folder or what? I feel like an idiot...my brain is turning to sh*t and I'm onlu 21.
  9. I just decompressed both folders 298 and 299, the Telos Droid Factory dialog folders. And let me tell you, it's pretty damn cool. Aparently, what happens is HK-47 finds a maintenance droid and has it modify his programing so he can dispatch the HK-50. Then he modifies the programing for the new HK-51's in such a way that they will obey HK-47 and will also destroy the HK-50 droids. It's really quite interesting, if you haven't explored folder 299. Also, there is some dialog from the droid training. There's some translation training, interogation traing (both giving and receiving). It's a shame it was all cut. Makes me furious. I don't know if I can bring myself to purchase KotOR 3, if it ever comes out. To be honest, I think KotOR 2 was it: the end. I really don't think that they're going to make KotOR 3, I mean what with all of this cut content and all of the disappointed fans. They probably anticipate going through the same **** if they did another one: cutting out alot of important, in an attempt to make the game "better."
  10. I only voted for Peragus because, like Taris in KotOR 1, it reminds me of the first time I played the game. Otherwise, my vote would be for either Nar Shaddaa or Dxun. Wait! I said Dxun, not Onderon. Just Dxun. I say Dxun because the Dxun music was the first music from KotOR 2 that I ever heard, so it reminds me of the time before KotOR 2 came out.
  11. I've been going to Nar Shaddaa first, after Telos for the last 3 playthroughs. This last time I was Dark Side so, naturally, I never refused a gift, but it's not like threatening bodily harm got me more lightsaber parts than they were already planning on giving me. But anyway, I got my first part from the Ithorians on Telos, the second part from Vogga's secret stash, and the second part from the husband and wife that I reunited in the "Intergalactic Reunification" mission. I don't recall what level I was at, but I know that I was a few level-ups short of Prestige Class, Level 15.
  12. Honestly, if they re-added ALL of the cut content, I would be willing to pay whatever they were asking simply because if they charged an excessive amount, it would probably be a Limited Edition. And if you're posting here just to bitch about "all of these stupid polls," understand that there are more productive things to do than sitting at the computer all day, trolling threads.
  13. Oh, really?! Is that why all of the items that my party members looted from Freedon Naad's Temple are STILL in my inventory, like Freedon Naad's Short Lightsaber (Freedon Naad's Blaster on another playthrough). All of the stuff T3-M4 looted on Peragus, I kept, but not the stuff from the Prologue. I kept the all of the chemicals that I had Mira loot in the Jek'Jek Tarr, even as Dark Side. And all of the stuff that my two party member loot from the Droid Yacht before my rescue, still there. I get the feeling that you haven't the slightest clue as to what you are talking about, or perhaps you have a bug. But all of the stuff that my party members looted when I wasn't there, I kept.
  14. If you went dark side, queen talia is dead. But nice try, though. I like the idea about Korriban, though. Especially the part about exploring another part of Korriban. And, yes, the Droid planet and HK Factory are mandatory.
  15. You are not a l33t ub0r-n3rd, u R fux043d U f00l <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what is up with all of this stupid **** that I keep seeing. What's the deal with using letters AND numbers to form words. Not to be an assh*le (not!!!), but can someone translate? I'd really like to learn how to read and type like that. And would one of you Obsidian crew members get out of the lazyboy and tell us when the f*ck we should expect to see a patch, if ever?!! Okay, I feel better now....
  16. Longer RPG's =good....Maybe they could just make #3 for the PC then? (w00t) hehe...j/king...I am just one of those who enjoy the heck out of long RPG's. Cheers, FD <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you're damn skippy, longer RPG's are good! and you read my mind: make KotOR 3 for PC only. Tool releases there albums only once every five or so years, and what do you know? Every one of them is incredible, IMNSHO. "They" need to spend 2 or 3 (or 4) years on KotOR 3, make it at least 1 1/2 times longer ( 60 hours rather than 40) and, you know what? As long as it's good, I wouldn't care if they sold it for $60 or $70.
  17. what I still don't understand is how everyone expects KotOR III to be a lot longer. I mean, you can only fit so much data on a DVD. Like the data DVD's that I bought just for a rainy day, they have a 4.7 GB capacity. Both KotOR 1 and 2 take up approximately 4 GB of harddrive space, so that leaves .7 GB of room for the Xbox version. And a lot of the data in the KotOR 1 and 2 folders is compressed already, so what's going to happen with the Xbox/Xbox 2 version of KotOR III? Put it on 2 disks? I don't think very many people are going to go for that. *Travel to Coruscant*.......*Please Insert Disk 2*. That kind of sh*t worked for games like Final Fantasy 9 on PlayStation 1 because once you got so far, you couldn't go back. (I loved that game) But I guess if they had to, they could put the just the first planet on it's own disk since it gets blown up anyway. Taris, Peragus. Really, the size of KotOR III is limited to whatever an Xbox/Xbox 2 Disk can hold. With PC, there's pretty much no limit. But a reasonable limit would be 10 GB. Would you guys just ditch your childish little video game consoles and get something that can do more than play video games? it's time to grow out of the "Nintendo, Atari Era" Sheesh! I'm just joking, of course. I actually own a Super Nintendo and think a gamepad beats a keyboard any day.
  18. I'm just so giddy about Knights of the Old Republic III, it's ridiculous. I have so much hope for KotOR III because it has so much potential. I just hope whoever was responsible for Obsidian's bullsh*t "time period to complete the game in" is fired and will never work in this business again. I simply do not wish for such a wonderful game franchise to "perish at the hands of ineptitude." I think that the Unknown Regions are...well...I have an idea of what it's going to be like in my mind's eye, but it's just so hard to descibe. I hope I'm not the only one that feels that way. It's sort of like a really hot girl in a dream. You can remember seeing her face in the dream, but you can't remember it very well afterward. Or...something to that effect.
  19. dispite what everyone else thinks, I liked GO-TO. He was an a**hole and that's why I liked him. He's also a very capable combatant with his "GO-TO module" that gives him special blaster attacks. But anyway, I really found GO-TO's cruelty very amusing and his backstory was very interesting.
  20. even if this information was already posted, I do greatly appreciate you taking the time to fill in the possible HK-47 dialog. it makes everything much easier to understand. I came across the sound files a week or two ago, but I completely forgot about the HK-50's saying that there was supposed to be a factory on Taris. Also, that part about other possible locations, "there is some evidence that there are other such droid manufacturing plants such as these in the galaxy" makes it possible to have M4-78 and the Telos factory.
  21. Most recent to least recent: Tool - have all albums except Salival (been listening to Aenema a lot lately) Knights of the Old Republic II Soundtrack A Perfect Circle Nine Inch Nails Live Soundgarden Stevie Ray Vaughan Alice In Chains Queens of the Stone Age Stone Temple Pilots Metallica Creed
  22. kreia's nose was a dead giveaway, with all of those wrinkles.
  23. Atton: You catch any of that? All I understood was "very." Bao-Dur: I believe he wants us to give up the General to his poorly-trained collection of bounty hunters. Atton: Ah, well that explains it. Which one do you want? Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one that decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance. ____________________ HK:47: Query: What is it you wish, fat one? ____________________ Pretty much every smart ass thing that HK-47 said. ____________________ There was also a funny part where Atton asks Bao-Dur if he has a chance of hooking up with the Exile and T3-M4 joins in with his silly antics. I love that droid. Something to the effect of: Atton: *You're* laughing at me?! I'll toss you out the airlock, you walking tin can!! I laughed my ass off at that. The script definately has more comedic moments than the first one, IMHO. ____________________ Also: Atton: Somebody shut that trash compactor up!
  24. I ditto the first post. The music playing during the cut scene of the Harbinger arriving at Peragus was perfect. I loved it. What I also like about the game was the multiple romance options. You weren't stuck with just one choice for each gender. I like the fact that your gender, as well as your alignment, determined what companions joined you. I liked being able to turn some of my companions into Jedi. The influence requirements in order to get companions to talk to you was kind of nice. But I just wish that each companion-main character conversation had an on going quest, like in KotOR 1. That way you would at least feel like you accomplished something once you were done talking to them. The music was incredible. Although I long for Jeremy Soule's music, Mark Griskey's music was pretty damn good. It would be nice if they used both composers in KotOR 3.
  25. An infinite Dark Side points bug that I found was the owner of the Swoop Gallery there on Nar Shaddaa. When you go into the swoop gallery, don't destroy the droid for Borna Lys...yet. Instead, go tell the owner of the swoop gallery that you want to place a bet. Go ahead place a bet for 1000 credits; he can't place a bet for you anyway because his account is closed for some reason. One thing you need is Force Persuade, not Dominate Mind. If you have Dominate Mind, you'll only be able to go through the dialog once. After he says that his account is closed, select every Dark Side dialog option until you get the option to Force Persaude him to give you your money back. You get DS points because you never gave him any money. Then when you need an extra 1000 credits (yeah right) and you have Dominate Mind, just go back there and Force Persuade him to give you back the money that you never gave him. The best thing to do, since credits are in great abundance, is to leave him there in case you accidental say or do something good and you want DS Mastery.
