^That would be the 2004 DOWNFALL (aka Der Untergang) whereas KaineParker is talking about the 1997 DOWNFALL (aka Chang)

That day will be when cars also become fully automated. I'm sensibly direct with most issues, but when the self-driving Neo Prius horde takes over, I will literally Hulk into a loud-mouthed internal combustion alarmist. TAKE BACK THE WHEEL Oh man, I can't wait until driving is automated. I'm in my car about 2 hours a day, most of it highway. I could do so much with that time. I have to admit, at this point I kinda feel that the computers can't drive any worse than people do now.

A Nobel laureate is someone who's received a Nobel Prize, not a Nobel Prize. Or are you asking for your own personal Peter Higgs to put on display? He'd look spiffy on the mantle.

Fitz is an engineer, Simmons is a biologist. Fitz's role is dealing with the experimental tech and such they encounter, Skye couldn't fill that role. I did think it was funny having that other hacker dude using SHIELD's crazy no-one-else-on-earth-has-this operating system and being able to hack into electronic locks and such within seconds. Sure Skye could - in episodes already aired - Simmons has filled in for Fitz on their technology and Skye's been shown to have more technological savvy than Simmons.

It was, IIRC, broadcast as a TV movie. Chuck Jones was the director and I've always liked it. Its possible you either remember a different version or - at least in relation to Rikki's coat color - that your TV may have been experiencing issues. Pretty sure that dates earlier than that. A lot of the later Hammer Horror films (late 60s, early 70s) are guaranteed to have some woman spilling out of her bodice (they loved period pieces) or otherwise unclad (for example Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires, Twins of Evil, Vampire Circus, Satanic Rites of Dracula). And as the drive-ins tried to pack teens/20-year-olds in the 70s would jam some sex/nudity in almost every low-budget horror film (and some of the big budget ones). I watched Puppet Master IX: Axis of Evil which was a fun return to killer puppets vs Nazis. But who in their right mind thought to set the movie in 1939 with the US involved in WWII?

I really think one of the scientists is going to die. I'm leaning towards the male scientist, Fitz, since he's the techie and his skills in that area overlap with Skye's (and I don't think they're planning to kill her). But they're also using the scientists interchangeably a lot, which really means there's no story reason to keep both of them (and they're taking time from developing the other characters) and lots of story reason to get rid of one of them.

Have you eaten hot dogs or fall off bed or chair? If you have, it may have cost you your Nobel USA falling off beds and chairs, getting killed by lawnmowers, nobel laureates and eating hot dogs http://thedoghousediaries.com/maplesyrup Curse my love of hotdogs and personal clumsiness!

I haven't been killed by a lawnmower, so where's my Nobel Laureate?

I remember when I went to college there was one person there who hated me in high school. But they were very friendly once we were in college simply because I was a familiar face (and I suppose the pressure to fit in with their clique was gone).

Reminds me a bit of when our poor literature teacher in high school put in for a video copy of MACBETH and ended up with the Roman Polanski version (which was rated R) instead of the earlier one she was trying for. So a class of 15 year olds confronted with naked old witches and heavy violence and a panicked teacher... Mind you college was no barrier, there was apparently a total break-down in a class showing THE NAME OF THE ROSE when the sex scene came up...

Well I had a cough anytime I talked and I'd lost a good bit of sleep (so was probably a bit of a danger driving to work). To be honest I could have came to work (I had lost the fever during the weekend so shouldn't have been contagious) but my experience is going back on that day would mean I'd have symptoms that linger around longer. I didn't have any projects due and its a lull period in my work cycle. Mind you I don't go into work when I'm contagious full stop. Since I'm the manager of the area - enough people call out and I have to do their jobs and I'm not masochistic enough to want them to get sick.

Your thoughts on multi-classing
Amentep replied to JFSOCC's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I agree with you I thought treating Elf and Dwarf as classes in 1e wasn't a great solution. I still think that, ultimately, if the goal is to allow the player to pick and choose skill sets a classless system is better suited than a classes system w/multiclassing. To be honest, when I think "rogue-priest" I think Friar Tuck. -
Came down with a cold. Thanks sick co-workers who come to work contagious! Been sick since Saturday.

Puppet Master VII: Retro Puppet Master - revises continuity again and the 'retro' puppet designs are kinda bad for most of the new puppet designs. Story was okay though. Puppet Master VIII: The Legacy - who in their right mind would make a "clips episode" movie? What new material is in the film makes little to no sense with the rest of the series. Rubbish.

Now all I can think about is pizza.

Your thoughts on multi-classing
Amentep replied to JFSOCC's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Right, but in the abstract in the "Roleplay" vs "rollplay" argument, you can only play, role or roll, what the game gives you to play. So multiclassing may add options, but not multiclassing doesn't mean you can't role play, you just role play what the game gives you to play. Anyhow, P&P games are totally fudgeable anyhow. -
It was pretty funny; I liked the same artist's What if All the NFL Logos were British work too.

Your thoughts on multi-classing
Amentep replied to JFSOCC's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Right, but my point is, that if the game is set up to have no multi-classing, why would anyone expect to play a wizard with martial training. It's like picking up a Mario game and complaining that it doesn't have CALL OF DUTY FPS gameplay or complaining that you can't have Mario romance blue alien ladies like Mass Effect. At some point you have to play the game based on what it gives you not what you might actually want. (And while PE is attempting flexibility, its not really multi-classing either).
