  1. This was some time ago, I seem to recall being on one strong pain medication the first day, a second lighter pain medication the second that I weaned myself off of. However I had foot surgery around the same time and I may be remembering that. Dunno.
  2. I didn't really have any issues with it. I was on pain medication for a couple of days, didn't develop dry socket which would be the real pain problem and *bam* right as rain.
  3. Had all of my wisdom teeth out at the same time. Woke up and the dental surgeon was like: "Hey how are you doing?" Me: "Grbrlmfff okay i gueff..." Dental Surgeon: "Great! Would you mind going back to sleep? We're not quite finished yet."
  4. No it isn't; a remake is literally when you make something again. An adaption is not a remake. Gus Van Sant's PSYCHO was a remake of the original PSYCHO down to using the original script. But if he had a new script written that re-adapted Bloch's novel it'd be a new adaption of the existing novel not a remake of the previous film.
  5. Lemmy had turned 70 about 4 days before he died (just as Bowie had turned 69 just two days before he did). I really liked Alan Rickman; he was one of those actors who you always knew was going to be good in a movie - even if the movie itself maybe wasn't as good as you'd hoped it'd be. RIP Mr. Rickman.
  6. No.... gods no! Please tell me this was intended as humour, that I have failed to read the sarcasm intended. The wasn't enough?
  7. The guards just think you're really happy to see them.
  8. It's more of a Japanese take on western action-RPG.Interesting oddity but sadly quite flawed. I'll agree it is flawed, but despite that I still really enjoyed it immensely.
  9. Fantastic Four isn't really a remake or a sequel either but a new adaption of an existing property. That said I'm not sure the Razzie categories are supposed to have strict adherence.

My experience (which may not be Nonek's) is that there is no single instance that leads to someone using the ignore function of the boards, but a multitude of instances that lead a person to believe that its better for them to not engage a person. I wouldn't take it personally, I sure don't (but then I doubt if I'd actually notice if someone put me on ignore).
  11. I see the ignore function as equivilent to the real world ability to walk away from Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park. Sometimes its best just not to engage eye contact.

I just wanted to point out it wasn't exactly a new claim for those who hadn't heard or who had forgotten.

Link? On Celebrity Big Brother Ms Bowie was apparently (I read this in the Metro) complaining before his death that Mr Bowie had purposely turned their son Duncan against her, because the gentleman no longer speaks or has any contact with her. Seems a little strange to discount her sons own feelings and logic as a grown man and blame Mr Bowie, but then again i'm with Philip Larkin on families. She's claimed that for years, including in her autobiography (IIRC).
  14. Last part is too much? How? Anyhow, I stand by my assertion - video games are a luxury item and you don't have to spend any money on them at all. I won't assert that there cannot be positive benefits of piracy, but any use of cost of legal game vs "quality" or "household income" is a rationalization because at the end of the day no one has to have a video game.
  15. Not that it matters much because I'm sure everyone's opinion is well entrenched, but this argument only can really be sustained if owning a video game had joined food, water and shelter as the basic necessities of life. Otherwise its a luxury, and one nobody had to have to live. Don't get me wrong, I understand that the way the market worked there were places in Eastern Europe that games were not legally available and pirating was the only way for many to play some games. But lets not pretend that people would have collapsed and died if they'd not been able to play the game and lets not pretend that all the piracy in the world was poor people in far away places where games weren't really being distributed either. Is anyone stating something like that? All we are saying that all that years of pirating brought us to gaming and we are now spending money on it. But without pirating there would not be that large population of gamers, doubt that there will be any dev studios either, so you can say that best game of last year was brought to you by pirates Perhaps I misread it, I thought Darkpriest was pointing out income levels as a good rationale for pirating games, hence my response. That there were positive effects from pirating (more companies, a sustainable market created through early piracy) are all fine arguments to make. That doesn't appear to be the argument I was responding to, however.

Yes, the US really so stronk. You may argue that Russia is stronkier, but no one can deny the stronk of the US. It does raise the question of whatever other countries are stronk, of course, but I'll leave that as an exercise for the group.

Link? Only links I can find are about Celebrity Big Brother UK releasing teaser video of her crying over the news and viewers complaining that the show/network was exploiting her.

  19. Blake dot? It's no fair to make fun of my mole! My mother always told me the wrapping does not make the gift! In fact, this hurt me so much I decided to get it surgically removed before doing my next 1 rep maximum weight. So much better! 101 kg / 222lbs standing press, maximum weight, no dot. Sorry, I didn't realize it was a sensitive topic (at least until you had it surgically removed, which might have left a certain tenderness) Not long from now you'll start sprouting tufts of hair from your ears and your eyebrows will decide that to protect your eyes from injury, they must now project a foot off your forehead to warn of incoming dangers. The first rule of booger bordello is not to talk about booger bordello.
  20. First meeting with the Railroad seemed to go well. Note to Self: Any meeting you can walk away from, yeah? Not that I need it, being charming and wonderful and all of that. Note to Self: And humble, too!! Well that's not creepy at all. Note to Self: Yes, yes it is, really. Curie! Quit walking into my line of site! Note to Self: Although, admittedly, I probably could have put the gun away, all things considered. Curie! Quit blocking my looting the bodies! Note to Self: Or you could loot the bodies and just show me the good stuff. Either works really.
  21. I don't think it helps; clickbait title are designed to use hyperbole to infuriate, which in turn leads to hyperbolic response. But I also think social media is a problem - it allows ideas to disseminate faster than I think people have the ability to come to grips as to what it really means and deal with in a rational way.
  22. They were probably "spewing" without you noticing until they came to your attention.
