Loved Jade Empire, would love another game in the setting. Would recommend ditching the rock-paper-scissors approach to combat styles though.

Shame on you, Obsidian.

Highly doubtful. -
I was hoping "Toilet Paper shotgun"...

I think the reason would be to expand the IP by not just having it be FPSRPGS (First Person Semi-Role Playing Game Shooters ) but exploring different content and genres. The Fallout setting - we know already - supports the FPS type game. It can support a tactical battle type game. It could probably handle a base-management style game (I guess Shelter is kind of a mobile version of that). The only reason you might want to do it is (a) monetary or (b) feeling it'd dilute what you want the brand to be.

Fallout 4 is coming soon.. is there a new OB Fallout Scheduled?
Amentep replied to dava4444's topic in Computer and Console
I've circumvented some quests (like getting fusion cores fir vault 81) with charm a checks. Resolved the feud between the shop owner and the drug dealers with a charm a check. Think I backed some people out of a fight. That's without the companion or extra caps ones. I only mention it because - unless I misunderstood and Gorgon's use of All was hyperbolic - I wanted to counter the idea there were no attribute checks. I'm playing 10 charisma + black widow and while I'd like more options, op tons are there -
At least that film knows what it is :D Pure awesome?

Charisma persuading checks are in the game. I've avoided several fetch quests by having a high charisma (for example getting into Vault 81). But there's not a lot of them mainly are certain big quests and I haven't seen any non-Charisma checks. -

Automatic Pipe - for those times swinging the pipe upside a raider's head yourself is too much work. Last Deathclaw I met took power armor and a minigun. This one took patience, a good scope and a large body of water between me and the Deathclaw. Note to Self: I love sniper rifles. Had heard about the Witchcraft museum in Diamond City - a real pain to get to. Didn't get far inside before I heard something thumping around. Something big. Leaving this place for later. Note to Self: Should seriously consider returning with Power Armor. I also heard in Diamond City about another Vault so decide to visit. They gave me some trouble getting in. Told them I was a Vault Dweller, which after some debate finally seemed to sway them. Faster than the alternative of bringing them wasteland junk. Note to Self: Now how did that secret Vault Dweller's handshake go...? Vault 81 revealed! Note to Self: Standing too close to closing Vault Doors could be hazardous to your health. So...you've never met another Vault Dweller before...perhaps it has something to do with requesting the fetching of objects in the crazed wasteland as a prerequisite for entry? Note to Self: They didn't require the Secret Vault Dweller's handshake to prove I was a Vault Dweller. I could be any random 200-year-old blue jump suited crazy; security very lax! Also totally wasted the ten minutes it took to learn that handshake 200 years ago. Got the grand tour of the Vault from this kid. Note to Self: Why did he want caps for this tour? Shouldn't they be using pre-war money here? Seems the Vault has a secret area to it where diseased mole rats live. Have taken to traveling the 2nd Vault to discover a cure for their plague. Note to Self: This gives me an idea! There's one less disease spreading mole rat in this secret vault area! Note to Self: Based on the terminals here and in my vault, Vault-Tec weren't quite as altruistic as they seemed back in the day. I feel positively chagrined! -

I'll change mine even though I may have changed it in the last two weeks. -
Or you could keep the lore as intact as possible and avoid stomping all over it just to avoid having to be at least a little creative. A good argument can be made for either case - continuity in storytelling should be a tool not a straight jacket, but good continuity will always resonated; that said since Bethesda decided to do what they did, there's a way (if not more than one) to make the new facts still fit the lore if they want to take it that way.

I'm looking forward to spending some time with Grim Dawn. -
Because of the holiday I wasn't able to spend much time with Fallout 4; instead I played Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on a laptop. Pretty fun, only got my rear kicked twice (once with the Twin Fire thing-a-ma-bob, and now again with Braccus Rex. Now I'll probably go back to F4 more, but hope to keep up with my D:OS game a little as well.

Making my way through the hospital. Note to Self: This Supermutant doesn't look like he's going to get much help here. Well this here's the top floor. Would be a surgery where the supermutant leader is hanging out. Maybe he needed a supermutant hang-nail removed? Note to Self: Need to ask someone why supermutants keep the bloody sac bags around. The imagination reels. All cleared out, a little late for this raider though. Note to Self: These supermutants were determined to maintain their football theme - they benched this guy! -

Leaving the Supermutants, I discovered the bus system is running a bit behind. Guess I'll hoof it rather than waiting like this fellow. Note to Self: Perhaps there are still cab companies? If not I should totally collect enough caps to trick out some cabs with miniguns on top and corner the market of speedy transportation that can shoot mauraders to death and get you there on time. Like Avis, but with bullets. Resigned to walking back, I stumbled upon this thing-monster-bug-stinging-flying-death. Note to Self: Scavange for some DEET based products. Back to "The Slog". Your problems have been solved friendly non-feral ghouls. Note to Self: Why do "ghouls" call themselves "ghouls"? Maybe suggest they start using "Epidermisly Challenged?" After reporting my victory, I heard tale of more supermutants in a hospital causing problems. Heading there I stumbled across this guy/gal bot. Note to Self: It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead. Hospital was protected by overzealous supermutant football players. I told the NFL they needed better screening for their players. Note to Self: Remind them that I only play touch football next time. Although considering this is supermutants and they don't seem to recognize their hand strength, touch football might be pretty bad too. -

I almost sold some important items, so I went and named my weapons. Note to Self: I couldn't be so lucky as to find a Wacky Races Holotape in the apocalypse, could I? For the Record: Ant-Hill Mob: Submachine Gun Dastardly & Muttley: Sniper Rifle Penelope Pitstop: Shotgun Peter Perfect: 10mm Pistol (does normal and radiation damage) Prof. Pat Pending: Laser Rifle Rufus Ruffcut: Machette Heard tales of some people harassing a farm. Agreed to look into it. Their operation center looks pretty creepy - some group calling themselves "Super Mutants". Note to Self: X-Men fans, maybe? There's a lot of Hubris comics in the wasteland, so why not Marvel? Look at the size of that thing! I can't even get a good view of it and...its enormous! Note to Self: That didn't sound as dirty when I thought it in my head at the time. Now its like I should go "Wink, wink, nudge, nudge - say no more!" I soldiered on - as I wanted to help those poor farmers. But I was so scared I trained my scope on a clump of limbs thinking I was seeing some new unholy monstrosity. Note to Self: Hope the farmers pony up for some new underwear. Oh **** crap **** **** hell diediediediedie Note to Self: ****ing die already **** ****er! I'll get you and your little dog too! Note to Self: Wait does saying that make me the bad guy? One last Super-Mutant to take down and the farm is safe! Note to Self: There's danger alright...danger of me shooting him in the head until he's dead! -

Its weird seeing Fenway Park...I mean Diamond City. I saw some Baseball games here back in the day. Look at it! Note to Self: Need to find cane to yell at people to get off my lawn. Its official, I'm an old person now. I was asked to find green paint at a local warehouse. A woman claimed to need "help". Could the trap have been anymore obvious? Note to Self: Remember to yell "Take that Raider Scum" next time. Ah, the Green Monster. Note to Self: Don't be around when they run out of yellow and blue paint to scavenge... Picked up a casual outfit for wandering around town in. Note to Self: Wish I could have found a better hat. Are there no bonnets in this godforsaken wasteland? -
I think it comes down to soundbite-ism. There's no way you can actually deal with the complexities regarding Islamic groups, sub-groups and which sides believe what in 60 seconds. And 60 seconds or less is what the nightly news wants to give you (or conversely its what most people want from the nightly news so it is what we all get). mmmm......I dont think I agree with that, I guess I expect you guys to be a lot more cleverer than that...I hold you guys in high regard How hard is it to not assume that the actions of 20,000 extrmists don't represent 2 Billion muslims globally....did you guys honestlly not realize this? It seems like we need to state the obvious ? I think a lot of people do realize this. I think there's also a lot of people who've never really given it much thought at all, and so can only react when presented with terrorist acts, for example.

US Media will never use the term Heretic/Heretical simply because - even as biased as our media is - being able to make a declaration like that implies the kind of position the media will never take because it requires them to declare that one side in non-Heretical. Even with the steping in Christian culture, groups like the Koreshian Branch-Davidians are the Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ are going to be referred to as "sect" or "cult" and not "Heretical Christian movement" or similar.

While creep-crawling through the wasteland, thought I'd come across some monster, drew my gun and turned to face it. Was mushrooms on a rock. Note to Self: Maybe that's just what the mushrooms wanted me to think... Decided to take a break and walk rather than creep-crawl. Found some train tracks. Don't think the trains are running on-time anymore, boys. Note to Self: I can't help but figure there's some sort of crazy mutated critter living up in that junk. There were crazy mutated critters living in that junk. It irradiated me with its bite, so I shot its head off. Seemed fair. Note to Self: Glad we were so riotously irresponsible with radiation as to make RadAway still plentiful 200 years later. Headed back to Sanctuary because a storm that lightninged radiation was brewing. Note to Self: Is "lightninged" a word?. Gave a pep-talk to Preston as he was feeling a bit down. Note to Self: People didn't become any less needy after 200 years of the wasteland, did they? Having set up Sanctuary to be self-sufficient by doing all the crafting lazy-ass Sturges wouldn't do, I decided to skip out of town, free of immediate responsibility. Note to Self: Probably looked goofy doing that. Should avoid coming back to town for a few days. -
Arguably you could make a retro-continuity case that Fallout 4 (and 3 by extension) is right; that Myron was lying when he said he created Jet in Fallout 2 (which wouldn't be that hard to explain since making that claim put him in good with the Mordino family and he got prostitutes due to his creation) To explain it, all you'd need to do is argue that Myron had basically "rediscovered" the drug from Pre-War days since ultimately the drug, IIRC, comes from Brahmin dung where the Brahmin were decedents of pre-war cattle who'd eaten food grown with an experimental cheap protean to speed up growth. With that background, it'd be relatively easy to argue pre-war science would have spotted the change in cattle biochemestry, studied it and extracted Jet which is the pre-War Jet. Myron was a genius and could have recognized pre-war information on Jet that led to the rediscovery in modern Brahmin strains. Not that anyone will care because of the whole "Bethesda Fallout bad, Interplay Fallout good" thing going on!

So it's Chinese who change, not you... You assume Chinese restaurants still have Chinese staff. They don't. In fact, the Dutch-Chinese community laments the loss of real Chinese restaurants because most of their children moved on to the better paying hotel industry. I could drive to about 6 chinese restaurants in 10 minutes from my house and only one of them is actually staffed by Chinese cooks. (Unsurprisingly, it's the one with the tastiest food because the westernized variants are ****). EDIT: In fact, a lot of the westernized variants also serve non-Chinese food despite labeling themselves Chinese restaurants. You can get Chop Suey along with Nasi Goreng and Babi Pangang. But if you look at the reverse, even the big US chains (think McDonalds) will tailor their menu to the tastes of the country they're in. For example McDonald's Shrimp Burger in China, or the lack of beef products in India. Cultural dishes and tradition are great, but if you want to sell food, you are sometimes going to have to appeal to the local taste rather than sticking with cultural traditions regarding preparation of a dish.
