There's a bit in the second conversation with the gods where you're forced to give Berath a diplomatic response, which gives you diplomatic disposition points. This is a problem for me since I'm playing a bleak walker and it dropped my faith and conviction score. How do I remove them?

Since we're the Herald of Berath, I went with a death godlike Crusader. Seems very fittings, especially if you chose Berath in Twin Elms.

Good question! Whispers of the Endless Paths looks like it does lower damage, but can do a lot more as it rolls two attacks against its original target - the normal attack plus an AOE (the latter of which can hit other enemies too). A quick field test should demonstrate both the "double hit" on the original target and the AOE. Hope this helps. Ooh, that sounds very nice.

Am I missing something with the Whispers greatsword? It has some nice abilities, but it does less damage than my unenchanted greatsword. What the heck is the benefit over reforging the Blade of the Endless Paths?

It's Ashley Johnson, AKA somewhat famous TV actress/VA, AKA Ellie from the Last of Us. She's not terrible ordinarily and in pretty much everything else she's in; it certainly was some terrible directing and pacing here though for whatever reason. Just hit my next narrated plot plot point in the excavation area and she's just sooooo slooooooow and it's almost as though the script she was given has arbitrary commas and gaps where there oughtn't be. Cannot for the life of me put up with it any longer. It was enough for me to alt F4 there and then while I went here to try and find that solution that hevymac posted the other day about deleting the relevant narration sound files. Well, I never played Last of Us, but she's pretty bad here. It's like she was bored out of her skull or something.

Besides, I was role-playing a survival of the fittest kind of character, who was looking to improve himself in any way possible.

Faith and Conviction is pretty amazing from my observations. It + Deep Faith gives my Fanatic +20 to all defenses right now, which is fantastic. I only just left the tutorial island, so my dispositions aren't even that high yet. He has almost as much deflection as Eder, who I've given a shield and the Weapon + Shiled style. I can only imagine how tanky an Unbroken/Paladin could be. Will probably try it out next time.

So I imported a character, who had sacrificed a companion to the Skaen blood pool and used the Machine to buff himself, but I see neither effect carried over to PoE II. Is this a bug or do evil characters get the shaft (again)?

Well, they don't HAVE to use fists. In fact, in PoE weapons eventually outclassed monk fists due to enchantments so it's better to use a weapon.

It's certainly possible in PoE 1. I'm playing a Fighter using Tidefall and he's got well over 100 Deflection and plenty of DR not even halfway through the game. Of course, Eder is better thanks to his shield and defensive modals, but he's doing perfectly fine as an offtank. Unless they've radically changed the system in PoE 2 it should be viable.

I respec'd him. There's no need to dump anything with those ridiculous item boosts from items in White March.
