What Was the Best Part Of Kotor II or I?
Iseo Tiakan replied to DARTHPON's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"No. Simply tell him that Admiral Onasi is following his orders." Should have been saved for the end of the LS game. There's so much that's great about this scene. -
DX:IW called. It wants its plot twist back.

Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Iseo Tiakan replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have an interesting solution to the problem of determining what happened in the previous two games, one that popped into my head a couple weeks ago when I had no internet access. Near the beginning of the game, why not give the character a "galactic history test" with questions about the Exile and Revan, in which whatever answers the player gives are assumed to be the correct ones? -
Age of char in k1 and k2
Iseo Tiakan replied to Weaponmaster303's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He's a Mandalorian, so he'd have been fighting before he was 18. I'd guess 15 at the oldest, putting him at 55, which is certainly not too old to be in the kind of shape he's in. -
Robes, especially since you can get such insanely high dexterity bonuses in K2.

Then again, it may be partly for this reason that she wants to kill the Force in the first place. With Revan gone and his fate uncertain, she may have decided that the only sure way to stop the True Sith is to cut off the source of their power.

My Problems with Role-Playing and Story-Telling in
Iseo Tiakan replied to Darth Suzy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As I understand it, Suzy's complaint is not that you're forced to play a developer's character, but that in doing so you must defend or renounce actions that your character took in the past before you discover what those actions were. If so, I think it's a perfectly legitimate complaint. -
How condescending.

Reportedly there's some bonus dialogue in which the Handmaiden shares some of her poetry with you.

Eh, you're kind of preaching to the choir, as I much prefer LS. I only went DS to get the full game experience.

I think I just force waved my way through that part. Rock hard to me is a boss fight that can last upwards of 5 hours <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I mean if you don't know what you're doing, I did, but it took my sister five hours to get through Trayus, she hadn't gotten force-wave and without that its a pain to get through, not impossible but defiantly a pain <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is? I had force wave, but never used it in the Trayus Academy. Just force stormed my way through the entire level.

Shield, speed, flurry.

My reading is that it was the Exile's face.

Which KotOR character would you be?
Iseo Tiakan replied to Roger the Sith's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Where exactly did we get the idea that Bao-Dur is laid-back? -
Which KotOR character would you be?
Iseo Tiakan replied to Roger the Sith's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Carth. Insightful, tough, loyal, skeptical of the motives of self-proclaimed "authorities" and always ready with a cutting remark if the situation calls for it. -
Digging for Fun in the dialogue file!
Iseo Tiakan replied to Blue Green's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Apparently Batu Rem was originally supposed to be a member of the GenoHaradan. There's a cut dialogue between the Exile and Atton concerning them. Exile: What do you know of the GenoHaradan? Atton: A bunch of death worshippers, assassins, but they -
Who's the funniest KOTOR character ever?
Iseo Tiakan replied to Sophy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
A question: How often did you actually have Carth in your party? -
Force Wound/Void and Force Bonds
Iseo Tiakan replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
My budding theory on this is that Kreia may have set this up as a kind of "win-win" scenario. Kreia hates overreliance/dependence on the force. If she wins (and I guess kills the Exile in a special way), the Force ends, and no one can depend on it. If she loses, the Exile has proven him/herself and (now that Kreia has arranged for all of the competing Sith/Jedi masters to be killed) the Exile is left as more or less the last master, and can found a new order (Sith or Jedi) that doesn't depend on the Force. (since the Exile knows how to live without it). Though it is possible that the whole death of the force thing was just another lie. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Another way of thinking about it: If the Exile fails the test, the Force is dead, and the "true Sith" are no longer a threat. If the Exile passes the test, he's capable of stopping the "true Sith." -
For those of you who hated the ending...
Iseo Tiakan replied to briand2's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Did I miss something? I was pretty sure that the original KOTOR was an RPG as well, and it had a conclusive ending. -
Fine, but why do you believe this?
