  1. My solution would be some kind of penalty when dual wielding (less damage/accuracy/pen) which is what other games have done, including the IE series of games. This way you don't gimp one-handed style (which is probably the most underused atm). Something like 5-10% less base damage, 5-10 less accuracy, or 1-2 less pen. This also makes sense as you're having to coordinate two full sized weapons; of course you're not going to be as efficient. They could even make the penalties steeper, with talents to reduce them.
  2. Well I have comepleted all the quests in Delver's Row (killed spindleboi), DR rep at 5, still tells me to piss off. Guess he's gonna have to die then.
  3. Yeah I've killed him before, that's not the issue. It's just that the game seems to have a non-violent option of obtaining it. And while it's a fun fight mid-high levels, I feel on PotD at low level it'll be a slow, tedious slog. And with over 100 fort I can't see Xoti landing that spell lol.
  4. Maia is constantly dominated though if you don't put something with immunity to intellect afflictions on her, or omit the deep wounds talent (as the DoT triggers the dominating gaze bug). Also, on Veteran with upscaling I never saw Fampyrs with level below my own, so the red hand doesn't help. Never had an issue with her getting dominated, but maybe I just got lucky? The wording on The Red Hand is misleading, and actual level seems to have nothing to do with it. How it should read is "Lesser/Weaker vessels are destroyed..." as that is how it behaves. Hence why I said regular Fampyrs get destroyed, but the Ancient and named ones won't.
  5. I started a new game yesterday and the bow wasn't there. 1TTFFSSE said it's new in 2.0, I assume you consoled it in the beta?
  6. That's the thing - I'm not sure if you actually can. But there's a dialogue option along the lines of "How much for your dagger?" To which he tells you to piss off and ends the conversation. After a second attempt at asking him the option disappears. I'm sure I read someone claim that they got it off him with Delver's Row +5 but it hasn't worked for me yet, and I can't find the thread where it was mentioned. Could be there's also quest completion requirements, or could just be a hint at the fact he has a really cool weapon. I'll try again after I've finished all the Delver's Row quests and see if it's any different. Possibly also Disposition and/or class restricted (there is an Assassin only option when you first meet him - haven't played an Assassin through yet though).
  7. Anyone been able to get that dialogue option to work? I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) that if you get Delver's Row rep to 5 he's supposed to give it to you, but that doesn't seem to work. I have no qualms killing him, just wondering if it's possible to easily get it at low levels.
  8. The question was whether there are weapons with dual types that include an element. The ones you listed are all lashes only. The difference is Lord Darryn's Volgue will do full shock damage if their shock armour is lower than their slash armour (and slash is it is lower than shock), where as a lash adds x% of the final damage done, as damage of the applicable type. On that note Frostseeker also does a pure frost damage AoE on crit, so that kind of counts.
  9. The Red Hand arquebus has an enchant that destroys (lower level) vessels on second consecutive hit. This works on regular Fampyrs, though presumably not named or ancient ones. Send your person with the highest will and/or resist/immunity to int afflictions in first then start shooting. Maia is great for this as her subclass helps mitigate the shorter range.
  10. Pretty sure it's the only one. Possibly some of the summoned ones? Otherwise the lightsabre is the only other that does non-physical damage.
  11. Voidward and a ring of greater regeneration will help with the frenzy dot. He also says in a post that pre lvl16 he used heavy armour and a shield.
  12. You could also go for Berserker. Will be quite fragile, especially in the early game but the barb passives/buffs are great. Scordeo's Edge doesn't seem to have a cap at the moment (contrary to its description), you can also gain several stacks at once with Swift Flurry (and presumably Heartbeat Drumming). Pair it with Rust's Poignard in the off hand for more attack speed (only against flanked targets, which is easy enough to manage if you have a tank with persistent distraction). The prone on crit is also very nice (also applies -10 all defenses for 6 seconds). For bonus points at level 16, you take Lion's Sprint. It is currently bugged and provides +15 accuracy for the duration of the fight. Combine this with Scordeo's and well: You also get additional 30% hit to crit from Berserk, more from Bloody Slaughter (situational) and you don't need to take Thunderous Blows as it's redundant with Berserk. Barbaric Smash can also be used as a spammable finisher too, even more hit to crit AND crit damage.
  13. I believe this can happen if the name you give the island is too long/large to fit on the island itself. If you have a save from before you named it, you could go back and enter a short name and see if it does it then.
  14. Sorry, just to clarify; Abraham is not a sufficient source of healing on his own, it's something like 10 health per kill. This should scale off might, possibly PL too though I'm not sure. You just want to use him in addition to other sources of healing. Fighter has the best healing ability in unbending, though before then you only have constant/rapid recovery which aren't amazing. Priest has some good buffs along with strong healing; Triumph of the Crusaders will pretty much return you to full life after each kill. Problem is the cast/recovery time. Paladin is probably the best middle ground choice; good healing from level 1, strong passive defense buffs, strong cheap full attack from level 1.
  15. I would go Marauder but Trickster instead of Streetfighter. Will do less damage for sure, but the illusion buffs will help cover the Berserker penalties. This way you can also shift some of the points from RES to something better.
  16. Do you know if the ring reduces it for sure? Because it doesn't show up on the tooltip, which lead to me disregarding it when testing a zerker. Paladins also get a passive for Int affliction resistance, which is another option if he's not already ability starved. If you go crit build then that sabre is very good, though you need to deal with the Magma Dragon to get it. DoC BP also has a heal on crit enchant. You can use Abraham for heal on kill as well. Is the heal amount fixed or percentage? I feel i could do a crit-based character zerker/rogue with WotEP cone aoe afflictions (right?) combined with sanguine greatsword? Are there any heal-on-crit options in early game? Both fixed, though I'd presume both also scale with might like all other heals. DoC BP can be bought/stolen as soon as you enter Neketaka, with a valid save state ofc. I believe the upgrade is fairly cheap too. No others that I can think of off hand. Abraham (heal on kill) can be found on the balcony of the Valian Luminous Adra mill in Queens Berth.

  18. Theoretically, I am REALLY starting to think they are supposed to be at Una's Luxuries. ==== Sigh. Alright, copious amount of game code coming up. I'll put all of the code and most of the discussion about it behind spoiler bars. The only thing which really makes a lot of sense to me is that the SceneLevel is tied to some sort of level for the Map Zone. Though why Serpent's Crown is capping out at level 2 and the Radiant Court was accessing Level 8, I don't know. So, long story short, could be As Designed. Could also be a bug. Gonna go through a few more loot lists tomorrow and see when they trigger the rare stuff as a final compare and contrast. If I think something is indeed up, I'll go and report it in the bug section. I had thought it must be intended that the legendary gems weren't purchasable, to make that upgrade a bit more special. However the fact that the code has provisions for them to be purchased suggests that either it's a bug, or they were initially intended to be purchasable but cut before release.
  19. Rubies I usually end up with about 10+ midgame, not sure where off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure a fairly easy to access location has about 6 in a container. Sapphires are about as rare as adra ban's, never had more than 8 on hand. Edit: Just checked the front page: Plus a few other easy sources.
  20. Yeah Raven told me about it earlier I will put into the OP, ty It's not rare at all, i got 3 emeralds in 3x wait and at the last wait it was even 2x, but I only needed 3. So I presume you get at least one per wait. Very good to know. I just assumed it would be a rare spawn as they seem to be fairly rare otherwise.
  21. Just reading that it looks like it chooses an inspiration you don't currently have, then applies that to you and the corresponding affliction to the enemy. It might also do the same check on the enemy, such as you have three inspirations, enemy has one affliction (of which you don't have the corresponding inspiration), so it picks one of the remaining two attributes. I guess the next question would be which order did you get the inspirations in, and if you did same test again would they be in the same order?
  22. Yeah definitely ranger for Frostseeker. Driving flight is reason enough on its own. Single or multi, either will do tons of damage if you are good at grouping.
  23. The Treasure Trove can spawn emeralds. Probably quite rare, but I just got one.
