Just to clarify, the modal for Blunderbuss, does this count as body affliction? And Delibitating strike as well? This is for the Streetfighter passive buff Distracted is a perception affliction and I think perception afflictions are mind afflictions. Body Afflictions = Might, Con, Dex Mind Afflictions = Per, Int, Resolve *I may be wrong, so take what I stated with a grain of iodized salt or two. This is correct. All PER afflictions cause the target to be flanked, which is how it activates the streetfighter passive.

Not sure if this is a bug or just strange AI behaviour. Any time my priest (Xoti) gets dominated her first action is to cast suppress affliction on herself, which removes the dominated affliction. I assume this would also be the case for charmed. My guess is that charmed/dominated characters given one of the basic AI scripts, which for priests has one of its top priorities "has affliction -> cast suppress affliction".

So as the title suggests, I will on occasion have Xauript Grubmasters spam Marked for the Hunt on a single character for the entirety of the fight. Extended combat log with the culprit in shot in the screenshot below. I'm pretty sure I've encountered it before with non Xauript rangers, but can't recall when/where. I only know this one as I've encountered it many times while testing builds on hired adventurers against the pack to the west of Neketaka. Clearly a scripting issue, but also implies that they either have infinite resources, or certain skills they have don't cost resources. Edit: Sorry, the Xauript pictured isn't the one spamming, he's further to the right. But the combat log is all you really need to see lol. Edit 2: Recorded a short video showing the issue

So in Ashen Maw at the shrine to Magran, there is mention of "the Rathun gathered behind you" or something to that extent. This is shown even if you have slaughtered every last one on the map. The final scene also makes mention to Rathun trying to escape the erupting volcano. This could make sense though as there are likely parts of the keep you don't get access to, and therefore may be some survivors.

Unfortunately your best option for a pure frost damage dealer is Tekehu. You could always build a character around some of the frost themed weapons; dual sabres for Grave Calling + Tarn's Respite, Frostseeker for ranged. Modwyr (sword) and Sun and Moon (flail) both have frost damage, though depending on conditions they change to fire damage. All of these weapons are attainable early and fairly easily too. Could pair up a martial class with a caster and just pick the frost based spells and/or self buffs.

So I've been keeping track of all the greater blights I've fought (all flames sadly), and all but one dropped rubies. The one that didn't drop a ruby dropped an agate. Interestingly, I've killed every single Rathun I can find (all the boats, the bounty and completely cleared the Maw) and not a single one dropped a ruby (as someone suggested they might). Got a lot of agates and primal flames but no rubies. Edit: Probably RNG, but just got an adra ban while clearing out the pickled eel inn; dropped in the western room.

That's interesting, as I'm sure I saw in one of the patches that they removed the PEN scaling. I was going to ask why you chose it over Stalkers Patience, as other than mince up it appears to be superior in every way. Now I know Also, how bad does your rep need to be to spawn that boat? I'm assuming -4 or -5? And can you get there by slaughtering a bunch of civilians/guards in a random village, or is it mainly through quest/dialogue options. Finally, how hard is the ship fight? I'm assuming pretty tough; decked out junk, level 16+ crew, etc.

On topic: @Boeroer how does the build play prior to getting driving flight? Considering rolling it before the inevitable nerf and am curious how painful the early game will be.

Here's a Frostseeker build I made recently. Dorftek's looks to be stronger but also requires a bit more micro. If you want more of a set and forget that you can still use to snipe priority targets then this should do the trick. Could also incorporate AS scrolls too as it doesn't have any skill requirements, though the AoE will still be weaker as you can't take twin shots. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103931-frostyboy-frostseeker-hunter/

Given he completely dumps RES and CON, I'd say that's about right. The point is to ensure nothing is still alive to actually hit you by the time you are revealed.

Terrible. You give up illusion and transmutation for what amounts to a duration increase on some buffs. Bonus power level is much more geared towards damage spells... It's especially bad because Enchantment and Illusion have a lot of cross-dependency in their impressive defensive packages. This is, incidentally, one of the reasons Evoker is usable - it gets both Enchantment and Illusion, and so gets almost all of the wizard's big defensive spells. If it didn't get both, I'm not sure even the greater synergy of PL with damage spells would matter. While this is certainly a slap in the faces of the other subclasses, in my current evoker playthrough I haven't used nor felt the need to use a single defensive spell. I just send in my tank, cast a couple of low level offensive buffs then obliterate everything before it can touch me. And yes this is on PotD upscaled. It gets even more silly when you get unbending on your tank as you can literally drop nukes on top of him with no real risk lol. On that note wilting wind is just ridiculous - raw damage and insane aoe; two casts will finish pretty much every non boss encounter. The biggest issue is that non-damage/healing spells (and abilities in general) gain very little benefit from higher powerlevel, which is the main "bonus" of taking a wizard subclass. Therefore one way to make the other subclasses more desireable would be to make ALL bonuses scale with PL, not just damage/accuracy/duration/penetration. As a (very) loose example, wizards double could gain +2 deflection per PL. Certain affliction/inspiration spells could upgrade to a higher tier at X PL's above their level, etc. Or make it so spells in your specialist school apply a tier higher affliction, where possible. Or have a hefty accuracy bonus if it's already the max tier. Because as it stands, at the moment the only subclasses that really get any benefit from the bonus PL are evocation and conjuration, as they have the most damage spells (evocation obviously being the superior). I'm not trying to claim that these are ideal fixes by any means, just throwing some more ideas outthere. I ddo think something other than "unlock all schools for all subclasses" needs to be implemented though. PL scaling in general should really be looked at too, as it currently favours damage and healing spells/abilities far too heavily.

Interesting, I wonder if this is a random drop or if I have simply missed it all this time. I will check it out during the day and if I can confirm I will update the OP. Thank you I did not get any Emeralds from Leofwyn. Yeah i didnt see u get em either, however i just found another Emerald in the fleet master's office in sayuka. lvl 7 locked chest =) It would seem that there's a fair bit of RNG then, as I just checked the main post and someone got an adra ban from the Ori o Koiki treasure room, whereas I got 2 sapphires... Maybe some lootables contain random top tier components? One of my games has about 12 more emeralds than another at about the same progress through the game. The other save has about 15 more pyrite though lol. No idea where I got all the emeralds, the pyrite I assume I just got lucky with stores. Also just got an adra ban (and a black bearl, but meh) in the collapsed coal mine; nameable island west of poko kohara. Hidden in the mining cart by the east wall. Edit: Maybe higher tier random components drop at higher party levels? Most of the finds I've posted in here have been at lvl16+, also with full upscaling on.

Just got a Ruby from the Flamewalker Vessali fight. Fairly certain it was from the greater flame blight, based on the location of the "corpse" I looted it from. Could be that all greater blights drop high tier gems? Or have a chance to at least. Will keep an eye out for any other greater blights and see what they drop. Edit: Okay so got another 3 rubies from steel preacher fight. Would appear that the preacher dropped 2 and the third was from the greater flame blight.

Build looks hilariously fun. I think I'd lose interest pretty quickly though if I never have to actually fight 90% of the battles. Question, where do you get Loki from? Haven't found him but I do have Peter (another black/grey cat) who provides 15% AoE damage to me and 5% AoE radius to party. More or less the same effect?
