I have so many saves where I was testing things; please let me know if this isn't right and I'll link one where I'm at an inn for easy respec access. http://www.mediafire.com/file/g0tbg098uc36xww/Blathiel_%2528TheEndlessQueries%2529_%25282e7aaa45-bb7b-4b34-8493-733a9942db73%2529_%2528LAX-2ABCDE%2529_%2528935046993%2529.savegame/file

Also remember that historically accurate for our world isn't necessarily historically accurate for Eora. Or you could, you know, sacrifice her to Skaen. Or just outright kill her/have her die during a fight if you're anti-Skaen. I mean she IS a murderer after all. I am indeed anti-Skaen, and believe me, the fact that nearly all builds on this forum use some version of Effigy's Resentment kind of upsets me, but that's my personal opinion. She is a murderer, yeah, but it feels...tacky...to be the icing on the crap cake that is her life just so I can get a nice suit of armor made out of her literal corpse. People tend to want characters that are as strong in PotD as possible. I actually have a few custom backgrounds based upon what alignments I want my characters to generally be... but I will also generally sacrifice Durance for some extra health. It does help... Yeah, my point was that missing the Effigy's Resentment isn't going to render a build useless, and if it does then the build probably wasn't very stable to begin with.

AFAIK if you have her spare the target in her quest, then you get the armour (and presumably complete the quest). I don't know as I've never actually done her quest; this could be what you were talking about earlier? All I know is you get the armour if you choose the "Benevolent Soul" premade history, which suggests there must be a "good" way to finish it. If not then I'm out of ideas.

For most builds it's more of a recommendation rather than requirement. A lot of the people experimenting with builds tend to be powergamers and thus try to squeeze as much as they can, wherever they can. Well, I mean technically she is already dead, her soul has just been trapped inside a metal body against her will by some crazy hermit Animancer. You could view it as a form of release for her.

Just wanted to add that I've had the summon animation display but no creature summoned. I thought it was due to chunking mobs but it also happened when a mob bled out due to Arterial Strike. Then later the unsummon animation displays at some empty space next to my character. A little unrelated but since a Dev is in here...

Not at home but will upload some this evening. @AndreaColombo - No idea why its calculating like this but if you run the calculation without the 30% from overpen, take 5% then add the 30% to that you get 4.4, could be worth checking if all lashes are like this? Haven't tried the gloves yet but might check them out, they from the boat? Edit: This could also be the 20% from Battle Axe and 10% from Improved Critical passive - point is it seems to be applying 30% separately. Might test when I get home, unless you want to. @1TTFFSSE - yeah all the new weapons are interesting, though the axe stands out the most to me. Even then it really needs some backup for ST. Frostfall is cool since any kill will proc the debuff extension, even spells and it's got a decent aoe. Same with the freeze. The damage proc was very underwhelming. Agreed on scepter, just wish the proc was more reliable. Yeah the armour's are heavy, which is a shame. I just slapped the soul bound one on my tank and forgot about it. First combo that stands out to me with the fire plate is a Vengeful Defeat barb, with Barb Retaliation and HoF to use while alive. @Tommy - Thanks for that, I'll take a look at the thread. May include it and these others in the OP, just need to figure out how to change the thread title lol.

Here you go: http://www.mediafire.com/file/g0tbg098uc36xww/Blathiel_%28TheEndlessQueries%29_%282e7aaa45-bb7b-4b34-8493-733a9942db73%29_%28LAX-2ABCDE%29_%28935046993%29.savegame/file I tested it with many different set ups on different characters and it was the same every time. It is equipped on Aloth in the save but my MC was using it in the video.

Updated the main post with my latest tests. Haven't tested them extensively but it's late and I'm tired lol. I did discover something interesting through the Unity Engine mod regarding the Ring of Prosperity's Fortune: Pity this information isn't shown in game. Only thing left to figure out is what the breakpoints are. If this is accurate then it's actually more powerful than I'd originally thought. Haven't added to the main post as it was about the weapons.

That won't work for Oathbreaker unfortunately, as the DoT will only apply to enemies. What's fun is using Pull of Eora followed by Spirit Tornado then set a script to target lowest health with Barbaric Smash on a Marauder. Everything gets Deathblows and Blood Thirst ensures you can chain smash until everything is dead. You won't get hit either as they will all be too busy cowering on the ground. Berzerker/Streetfighter is best for this as the DoT will quickly bring you down to bloodied. Only bad thing about terrified is it breaks engagement. Nemnok's Cloak to make sure you don't kill yourself. You can do the same with a pure Berzerker and just use HoF instead; same results (quicker if you get good crits) but you also get Barbaric Retaliation so they can soften themselves while you set up. Only problem is your ST will be significantly weaker. Edit: Oops, I've taken this quite off topic.

Yep, also important to use attacks that hit multiple foes to apply the bleed, or cleaving stance. Or both. It's pretty disgusting with a max AoE HoF. Streetfighter/Berzerker is another good one, if a bit reliant on BDD. Might have to try Espiris, the wording suggests it may be more reliable to proc.

Unless I'm using an item that scales off a skill, I just spread them around. One companion with high mechanics, at least a point or two in athletics for everyone, a bit of stealth for everyone can come in handy. Then I get companions to focus on one or two skills to boost my party assist, and try get get around 10+ in each with assists by end of game. If you want/plan to use high level scrolls then obviously you'll want sufficient arcana.

Heh, didn't know how else to describe it. In the fight(s) with the inquisitor(s) in The Endless Queries, if you get too close to one of the mobs (my guess is the head inquisitor) and are invisible, you instantly become visible. Likewise if you try to go invisible while close to her it cancels immediately. It was doing my head in until I realised. Not sure if it's the same for stealth, as the mobs there have a pretty quick discovery period. Also I only tested with Smoke Veil but I can't imagine it being different for other sources. Remind me of True Sight and inquisitors in Baldur's Gate, sounds very cool Actually I was surprised that in the original game there's no way to detect invisiblity. In baldur's gate there's see invisibility, true sight and etc. In nwn2 steath vs spot for Hips and true sight for invisiblity. But in pillars, invisibility = Invincible Yeah, that's what threw me off tbh; there was no ability like it in the series till now, it was so unexpected. Assassin can do bad things with the right setup:

Yeah, that was my thoughts but sadly not. Also Finishing Blow doesn't seem to give its bonus damage, which is sad. And Eliminating Blow didn't proc the AoE at all. Highest I've seen so far was 110 from a crit. Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Turns out the fight I was testing on has a mob that has a invisibility dispelling aura. Weapon DoTs do not cancel invisibility.
-
So I was testing some Assassin multiclasses with the Oathbreaker's End and every time I used smoke veil I would instantly become visible again. I removed deep wounds, then persistent distraction (thought maybe it was auto engaging which was breaking it) then both; every time it would cancel instantly. Then I realised it must be the DoT from the axe itself. Haven't tested other weapon DoTs or martial skills that apply them however, so maybe it's just an oversight since it's a new weapon? This is false. The spells I used were Chillfog and Ninagauth's Bitter Mooring, so that could explain it.
