  1. I mean if it offends someone by any rights why not remove it? No game has right to be offensive and as Obsidian already cave in on these demands why not go rest of the way?
  2. I think topic is worthy to bring on for years to come. I mean why not? Not like it's resolved properly or in good manner...
  3. Or they could have an NPC standing next to fountain... And allow some better bonuses with gold payment, for a high quality meal with exoctic spices or something... Why not just use systems they have already in place... In general the whole place doesn't make sense and is lifeless...
  4. Why not, if we don't die here or kill the issue here it will grow on. You have to stop it at some point or eventually there isn't anything left to save. As such sometimes you just can't let things pass on and most effective tactic is to cause greater harm than doing right would have done.
  5. You're either dishonest or delusional. No I just have had enough of BS. If few bad developers have to die, it's a small price to pay for open and free medium.
  6. What's to worry, they have already sold to cencorship so it's all downhill from here.
  7. This is the hill you choose to die on? Yes. For greater good of gaming!
  8. Add the limerick back. Or censor the rest of the game to decent standards containing absolutely nothing offensive.
  9. But as they already gave up to censorship why not just go rest of the way. Offending anyone is bad so why not remove anything offending. It's only a little things after all.
  10. I considered it to be comparable to disability. You know maybe someone will call this out on twitter to the important people...
  11. You never know. If some of the big names get in, they probably will after all media is what they listen to.
  12. I don't think removing this hurts the Obsidian any further. As they have show it's the group of people they like the most. As such anything offensive to them should be removed. After all it's them who buy the games. I think there is lot of further things that could be removed from the game to make it more suitable for them. Great marketing it will be!
  13. I don't feel sorry for them, after all they dug their own grave. Now it's question if they climb up or if we bury them. They still have chance to redeem themselves...
  14. Actually that doesn't seem to have been the case. So, highly unlikely. To turn the question around "Gui, did it ever occur to you that they asked the backer for a change because of the outcry? Inconceiveable, I know." Obsidian choose what they percieved as being the lesser of two evils. I just hope that they made the right choice, business wise. True, it's their choice and their current PR spin stands, I know what my actions will be. I don't think they did things right and it might come to hurt them in long run.
  15. I still think Obsidian needs to give real answers about if joke was supported by them in the first place. And why they game in on twitter mob. And why they saw it required to contact person about it for possible change. Be honest with people and stop lying!
  16. People in English native land don't have hardships so they occupt themselves by making them up. That is usually white people with money, which is greatest privileged in the world... But they don't think it as such. And then there is some who live off this kind of attention...
  17. No. This would be a complete non-issue if the bigots hadn't thrown a fit. Go read the replies to the other thread. Someone actually vowed to undermine everything Obsidian ever does. The reaction is completely, hilariously, out of proportion. Money, marketing and PR is only thing they understand. Boycott and speech is only tools consumer has, as such advocacy is best thing a consumer can do when they come across immoral practises. Recent months have show just how deep problems the industry has, something must be done for better tomorrow. And few bad apples dying of is small price to pay.
  18. Over thousand games in backlog and growing... I'm not running out of games any time soon. And then there is always classics too to be replayed...
  19. Thankfully I think there is still sensible developers in Europe. At least part of USA scene seems to be lost to corruption and other issues... Then again AAA knows their market and couldn't care less about these people...
  20. There is fight already going on. And the sides are those for freedom of expression and accountability. And those who want to deliver their narrative and benefit their privileged circles. I know which side I support and it seems that Obsidian choose the wrong side. It's already long fight and it isn't dying down. They could have let the storm weather over, but now they have to endure the consequences of their actions. I don't believe those people who advocate for censorship will ever join in the fight for good things for industry.
  21. I wonder if there is someone with 500$ reward who is up to asking to change theirs to something similar to original. Or Quote of that.
  22. Okay, so now it's time for me to boycott Obsidian and warn everyone about their practises for foreseeable future. I just can't stand this industry succumbing to outrage and losing it's artistic integrity.
  23. What was time line with Maerwald? It confused me a bit... And when does Soul enter a child? At birth?
