  1. The game just didn't recognize that you had visited and "cleared" the area. So your act of walking (probably over some small space that you hadn't walked on before) alerted the game that the area was successfully cleared.
  2. I have to say, as an Exile/Atton fan, I still really love the idea of Exile and Malak (pre-Jedi Civil War, of course). Lovely drawings!
  3. This is another one of the situations where I have to wonder...is this more of a Star Wars game or an RPG game? I tend to think of it in terms of the former, being that I myself am a hardcore Star Wars fan and that's really the only reason why I played Kotor 1 and 2. I'm not an RPG-gamer by any means. That being said, I have to ask: Did you play Kotor 1? If you did, then you could have expected that characters in the Kotor universe are rarely player-driven (other than the obvious choice between the Light and the Dark Side). You play as a character that was created for you, be it Revan or the Exile. I know it can be frustrating given that many other RPG's probably allow you to create unique characters of your own imagination, but that's just not the way it works in these games. However, I do agree with you in your frustration that, much of the time, you were required to pass judgment on your past actions before you even knew what those actions were. EDIT: This is really insulting. If you want people to treat your opinions with respect and respond in kind, don't say things like this.
  4. Also, there should be an entry in your journal that talks about what you need.
  5. Actually, those have already been mentioned in the thread.
  6. Aurora Von. And the head I used should be obvious. My screenname is actually the name of my DS Female Revan from Kotor 1. I didn't want to use Aurora Von on these forums though because there was already a prominent poster (Aurora, obviously).
  7. Peragus. Hey, somebody had to say it! Nar Shaddaa.
  8. Cool robes is really a matter of opinion. There are just as many people out there who prefer the Dark Jedi robes to the Jedi ones. As for your claim that "every party member is influenced with good acts", Atton is just as easily influenced with Dark Side acts, so it's not entirely true. And Xacharia, the Dark Side corrupts. It corrupts your soul, and your living flesh. I found the K2 Dark Side transitions to be a vast improvement on those in K1, they more closely resembled Sidious from the films. Were you expecting to look like a beauty queen/king? You can't tread so deep in the Dark Side and not have the exterior match the evil within.
  9. Who in their right minds would ever choose Bastila's mother as the best story arc?
  10. In case anyone still doubts this, there's other evidence as well. On Dxun Canderous/Mandalore declares to Kreia that "Clan Ordo still lives!" Canderous's last name was Ordo.
  11. Technically, if you have enough influence with her, she has changed to the Light Side. Other than that, yes there is more with her...but it's not until later in the game (I don't know how far along you are).
  12. I'm hoping this isn't your first time through the game. If so, it's pretty disappointing that you would use the SGE and cheats.
  13. Have you had massive influence with Visas and Handmaiden at the same time? Because if so, the Visas influence may overshadow Handmaiden's or cancel them both out. Handmaiden needs to be higher, I'm pretty certain. And no, it has very little if at all to do with HK influence because I've never had high influence with him.
  14. Contrary to what you may have thought, killing Saquesh and the guards is actually a Light Side thing to do. Just talk to him, choose the [intimidate] option, and have at 'er.
  15. I would buy a Kotor 3 if it was made by my dog. So yes, I would buy.
  16. Yep, unfortunately. Not really worth getting in-game, is it? On the other hand, the "Do you know anything about men?" dialogue with Mira only happens with a female Exile with high Atton influence, so that's something.
  17. Are you referring to the one where HK presents his definition of love? If so, it can be triggered if you have high influence with Disciple (if female) or Handmaiden (if male). The presumption is that your character is/could be in love with them and thus asks HK-47 for clarification (though, why you would go to an assassin droid for love advice is beyond me!)
  18. Hated from K1: Bastila, Juhani, and Mission I didn't like Bastila because I found her to be a less than impressive Jedi. Here was this woman who was famed for her battle meditation, and yet she was so easily tempted by the Dark Side and harped on Revan to make up for her own insecurities. Juhani was in the same vein, she herself had fallen to the Dark Side prior to joining up with Revan and yet she found it necessary to critisize my DS female whenever she took the Dark Side path. Mission was fun on Taris, but afterwards I never took her off the Hawk (unless it was to trigger her sidequest with her brother). And in the end, I didn't mind being the one to kill her (I loved Zaalbar too much to make him do it). Hated from K2: Disciple, HK-47, and Mandalore I guess hate is too strong a word, I definitely have a stronger attachment to some of the characters in K2 as opposed to K1 (where I legitimately hated some characters). Disciple was annoying to me because the game tried to push him as the love interest for females. He was so dull to me, and his blind worship of the Exile was grating. He did have some amusing lines, however, like on Nar Shaddaa after Visquis' transmission "No, Atton. I think it *is* a trap!" As for HK and Mandalore/Canderous, the only reason I disliked them was because when I played as a Light Sider it was almost impossible to either gain or lose enough influence with either of them in order to get some of their deeper dialogue. I loved both of these characters immensely in K1 so it was difficult to tell HK that he won't be killing any innocents, or condemn him for his violent nature. Similarily, I felt bad whenever I lost influence with Mandalore because of how he respected Revan in K1. As a side note, why does everyone hate wookiees?? They've always got a place in my "Favorite Characters from Kotor" list. Even though Zaalbar barely spoke a word (except during the Kashyyyk mission), he was a great presence to have around--not to mention how powerful a melee fighter he was. And though I've only played DS once in K2, I really enjoyed Hanharr. He wasn't your typical evil character, he had a lot of depth to him and also wisdom. Here's hoping we get more wookiees in K3!
  19. Absolutely, I would. The way I see it, the amount of content that they ended up cutting from the game is definitely worth paying again. Especially if it was all polished and neatly re-integrated.
  20. Love those ESB recreation pages, Aimo. Those fulfilled my original hopes that when the Ebon Hawk was grounded for repairs on Dxun, that such a scene would occur between Atton and the Exile; alas, it did not. But thank you for letting me pretend that it did!
  21. You list your only strength modifiers as being +3. I would suggest equipping all strength-related gear you can to improve this. Kreia's force powers can easily outmatch your own, even as a Jedi Master. Your best bet at this point is to attack her melee style (with total focus on using anything that will give you more attacks, more power etc.) Drop the force enhancing equipment, as I said only equip your strength or dexterity items. Good luck! It'd be a shame if you couldn't complete this final battle after making it so far! Other tricks you can use are the medpac exploit (pausing, going to the equip screen, selecting a medpac/advanced medpac/life support and choosing "use item" to avoid wasting a round). I also suggest using power attack (advanced or master if you have it).
  22. LOL Bordering on obsolete. I only just replaced my GeForce 2 about a month ago, and that was only because I wanted to experience some of the better visual effects in the game. The GeForce 2 ran the game fine, so I'm sure that's not really relevant to this person's problem. Try to look for a new NO-CD patch, maybe you can find one on gamecopyworld.com or similar websites.
  23. I only discovered this video on my second play through. As a DS male, it was much easier to gain enough influence with Kreia to get her to reveal her past. When I played as a LS female, I was too flip-floppy with my influence with Kreia--at times disagreeing with her (to gain LS points) and others to defend her (again, to gain LS points) which probably evened out the influence to a point where I had no leeway to ask such questions. Needless to say, I didn't have either the intelligence or the wisdom to achieve the same results.
  24. I suppose you could say that only Revan and the Exile were fully intune with the Dark Side of the Force. Think of the movies, Palpatine's face is the only one that has become totally corrupted by the Dark Side. I don't think Malak's power could match Revan's, and obviously Bastila's couldn't. That is one complaint I might have with K2, that your party members drastically change appearance as well, but I suppose if they're being influenced by the Exile's power...
