  1. Those that give you Wisdom bonuses can help unlock a few more conversation options, but it's generally insignificant, if you have other decent attribs, such as a high Intelligence, or even certain skills. The only object that will directly make people react differently to you is if you are holding a lightsaber, and even then, this seems to be limited to Dantooine.
  2. You can get two lightsabers in just a matter of minutes, once you arrive on Dantooine. Clear out the Enclave sublevel, buy the parts from Jorran, take the salvagers' bodies to Zherron (it's OK to tamper with the will), and you'll have the 3 parts right away, assuming that you got the first part from Czerka or the Ithorians on Telos. You can buy a color crystal from the lady in the salvager's camp. Talk to Bao-Dur, and get your saber built. For your second saber, just go back to the Ebon Hawk, defeat Visas, and you'll get a whole lightsaber instead of a part, since you already built your first.
  3. Thats because he was the only one who wasn't a complete knob. I had hoped Vrook had died in the first game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zez-Kai-Ell was also decent. If you take the light side, and don't kill him when you see him on Nar Shaada, he'll flat-out tell you that you were right in what you did, and that he left the Jedi Order the day they exiled you.
  4. Regardless of which character build you chose, there is something you can always do: 1) Equip a Verpine Prototype Shield, and activate it. This will stop all of the damage generated by the boss' lightsabers. Remember to constantly keep it up, since the boss can still pack a whallop. You should have a good number of these shields available. 2) Use Hyper Adrenal stimulants of each type. While the effect won't be as profound as what was seen in KOTOR 1, it will still help. 3) Use all buffing powers possible, including speed, energy resistance, force immunity, etc. 4) When you get damaged a great deal, open up your inventory panel, and use one of the life support packs from that screen, so you don't waste a turn. You should have several, since a bunch of them were probably dropped from your enemies on the Ravager, as well as in the Academy. 5) Equip the belt that boosts your abilities. 6) Be patient. The boss can take a LOT of damage.
  5. OK, let's clear things up a bit. 1) Yes, there is an item that is specifically Visas' lightsaber. It's only available via KSE or other editors. 2) Visas' lightsaber isn't anything special. It's only usable by her, and nobody else. It's also non-upgradeable. 3) After you beat Visas, you get a lightsaber part if you don't have all of the parts, or a complete lightsaber, which can be either single bladed, double bladed, or short single bladed. This is not the same thing as Visas' lightsaber.
  6. Since it's a random loot generator, as the others have stated, you'll simply have to wait until the end of the game, when the loot gets better according to your level. I'll tell you right away, though, that Darth Malak's armor is nothing really special. There are a couple of locations where you'll always get a nice crystal. On Dantooine, in the crystal caves, you can get your personal crystal from the glowing formation, and on Onderon in the Cantina, you can trade an open starport visa with the lady in there (Sakere?), to get a Qixoni crystal (usable by DS only normally, but if you pair it with your personal crystal, a LS player character can use it). As for the best robes, you can get the Ossus Keeper robes on Onderon as well, when you storm the palace, regardless of whether you're light side or dark side.
  7. You should be high enough of a level, that you could have the Fear / Horror / Insanity tree maxed out. This gives you a way of stopping a lot of them in their tracks. Also, you should have a decent supply of Mandalorian Melee shields.
  8. Yes. You should have enough influence by then, to trigger the next tier of conversations. Once you get high enough, he'll ask to be trained in another conversation.
  9. This isn't entirely unexpected, since the game scales up the enemy strengths as you get higher up in your character level. If you want to give yourself an extra edge, you can use Force Plague, which has no save, and saps your enemies' resistance a good bit.
  10. Just to elaborate: Do this in the Refugee sector on Nar Shaada, where all of the refugees are located. Walk around, and you'll see a couple of Twi'leks approaching you. Be nice to him, and be generous with the compliments. Have him in your party when you explore the Dantooine caves, and when confronting the Khoonda investigator regarding the atmospheric sensors, be nice to the the investigator. Also need a high influence level, and your main character's level must be at least 18 to trigger the third fighting session.
  11. Any three party members, as Jedi, can take down the opposition, but as a general guide: 1) Make sure someone in your party has decent demolition skills. If you want to avoid getting detected, then make sure they also have good stealth skills, and if you don't have Bao-Dur in the party (who already has the codes), then make sure someone has good repair skills. If you're using Mira as the leader, then don't worry about the demolitions part, since nobody will trigger the mines as long as she's leading. 2) Mandalore also works well, if you max out his melee weapons feats, two weapon fighting, and give him two fully upgraded melee weapons (I use Ostrine edge, Vibration Cell IV, and Superior Arginium grip in each). You'll cut through any opponent, Jedi or no, without too much effort. With one of the implants that help guard against mind-altering effects, he'll cleave his way through the Sith master and his disciples in the Tomb itself. 3) The droids can work OK, but you need to make sure they stay far back enough, and keep up their shields. This is where T3 can shine, since his Droid Renewable Shield will come in handy (assuming you finished Nar Shaada before this). In general, I give the droids ranged disrupting weapons, which deliver unstoppable damage, so that enemy Jedi can't reflect their shots back at them.
  12. 750 XP. Nothing else. Yes. Just have more influence with Visas (but not too much).
  13. If your influence with Visas has a bit more (though less than 20) than what you have with Handmaiden, then you'll get a cut scene, where Visas makes some comment about Handmaiden fighting flesh and blood, where she (Visas) fights with the Force. Visas will then ask Handmaiden what you look like, and so forth. No harm done here, since you can still talk to Handmaiden, turn her into a Jedi, etc. If your influence with Visas is significantly more (30+) than what it is with Handmaiden, you'll get the same cut scene as above, but then after that, you'll get another scene with Handmaiden conferring with Kreia about the situation. After that, Handmaiden will be angry at you, and will not talk to you anymore, except for some rude brushoffs. If you get this scene, then you will not be able to progess any further with her, in terms of making her a Jedi, learning techniques, etc. One other small thing. If you have more influence with Visas than you do with Handmaiden, and talk to Mira for the first time, then she'll ask if you and Visas "hooked up a power coupling" instead of asking if you and Handmaiden made such hooking up.
  14. Those two groups of Mandalorians are the only two. I don't think you even encounter any more Mandalorians outside of Dxun, with the exception of the event in the Korriban cave. I've never seen any quest regarding Mandalore trying to gather the remnants of the Mandalorian clans.
  15. There are only two times where you'll see your old saber. Once is when first talking to Atris (and even then, you need to make the correct conversation choices), and the next time is when you're watching the events from your trial, where you stabbed it into the stone. You cannot get your old lightsaber back from Atris. You won't get a lightsaber until you build one first. On the other hand, I suppose it's possible to get a whole lightsaber without building one, if you manage to get through the tomb on Dxun and snag Freedon Nadd's saber from his remains.
  16. There are several places on each planet, where you can get a lightsaber piece. It doesn't matter which order you finish the planets, either. Once you've built your first lightsaber, each of those places where you'd normally get a piece of a lightsaber, will give you a whole lightsaber instead (random chance, short, regular, or two bladed). For example, you've just left Telos with one part (given to you by either Czerka or the Ithorians). You're now on Nar Shaada, and snag a piece from Vogga's horde, and then get the third piece from helping out Lootra / Aaida. Now you can build your saber, once you buy / find a color crystal (available from any number of merchants, including on Telos). If you travel to Dantooine, you'll get a whole saber from Master Vrook, once you've defended Khoonda. You should also get a whole saber after rescuing Jorran and buying the artifacts from him. Now, say, you started out on Dantooine instead, as your first planet. After you rescue Jorran, you are given the chance to buy crystals or upgrades, and a single lightsaber part, instead of a whole saber. You'll get the third piece from Master Vrook after you save Khoonda. Now, when you go to Nar Shaada, and loot Vogga's horde, you'll find a complete saber, and so forth.
  17. The Hurrikane crystal does this as well; you get +1-8 of unstoppable damage, and a chance at knocking down your opponent (DC18).
  18. You can actually get two lightsabers built (or found0 very quickly if you do Dantooine as your first planet. You'll leave Telos with one part (from either Czerka or the Ithorians), and can get another part after you help or kill Jorran in the enclave ruins. You can get another part if you alter the will left on the bodies in the enclave ruins, and present the will to Zherron, for your third and final part. Then, you can go back to the Ebon Hawk, trigger the fight with Visas, and get a full lightsaber.
  19. They use the one that you assign them to use. As for the lightsaber forms themselves, I found them useful in certain situations, such as when sending out your Jedi party members to attack a large number of blaster wielding grunts (use Soresu), or when they have to fight against lightsaber users (use Makashi). Often times, you aren't going to give your party members the best upgrades (since you want them for yourself), and it can only help to pick the right form for the job. For the main character, though, I found myself switching between Ataru and Shien, depending on whether I was facing blaster wielding opponents or not. If you get Niman, there's absolutely no reason not to use it at all, since it gives you moderate bonuses in all categories (blaster fire, defense, etc). If you get Juyo, it's very nice to get that extra attack.
  20. You were dead on about the personal crystal. Just a slight correction, though, when it comes to learning lightsaber forms. It doesn't matter which master you learn from first. You won't get Juyo or Niman, until you learn from the third master you meet. Thus, if you do Dantooine first, the form you'll get from Vrook will be Shien, if you're a Sentinel or Guardian (or the equivalent prestige class). The second master gives you Ataru, and the third will give you Juyo or Niman, depending on whether you're a Sentinel / Watchman / Assassin (Niman), or a Guardian / Weapons Master / Maurader (Juyo).
  21. Depends on how you played the game. If you made Mira into a Jedi Sentinel, and maxed out the Force Speed tree, and give her a lightsaber with decent upgrades (by that time, someone should have had enough skill to build the best upgrades), she'll mow down that walking carpet. I thought that the first fight between Mira and Hanharr, as well as the battles after that, were the most difficult, though, when doing Nar Shaada first, since you don't have too many choice items at that time. At this stage, Hanharr is easily the stronger, and if he weren't so dumb as to blunder into the mines, it woul d be even more difficult. I used up all of my Mandalorian Melee shields after fighting Hanharr, the Kath Hounds, and the Ubese, who were able to sense Mira, even in Stealth Mode.
  22. Sometimes, due to the random loot generator, you might want to hold off on getting goodies from certain places, until you're at a higher level. For example, you might want to wait before getting the lightsaber crystals from the crystal cave on Dantooine. If you go there at a relatively low level, you'll get lesser crystals, such as Bondar, Ruusan, Adegan, etc. On one game playthrough, I waited until I was at a relatively high level, before looting the cystal formations, and ended up getting a Upari, Ultima Pearl, and a Kaiburr crystal. I also didn't talk to Darala (or whatever her name is, in the Salvager's camp) until later on, and found a couple more good crystals, along with a Dark Jedi Knight robe. It's the same thing for any merchant / loot cache. It's just a matter of picking and choosing the ones you want to get later on, as patience is rewarded quite nicely, indeed.
  23. Actually, http://www.starwars.com/bio/christopherlee.html Christopher Lee was in The Three Musketeers.
  24. If you side with General Vaklu, you're going to have to fight him. I hated fighting him or Zez-Kai-Ell, since both of them were actually sympathetic to you, and Kavar even says that he almost made you his apprentice. The only way you aren't going to have to fight him, is if you side with Queen Talia. If you have to fight him, the best way is to prepare yourself. Equip your best shield that works against energy attacks, and use your force buffing powers, such as speed and especially energy resistance. Force resistance / immunity also helps a lot. A cheap way of beating him is if you can run away from him, using force speed, equip a stealth generator, and lay a bunch of mines between him and you, and then make yourself visible.
  25. Doesn't Vrook drop one? The two DS playthroughs that I went through, had him dropping a robe, and a lightsaber part.
