Damn, I just looooove BG2! I love Irenicus's dungeon. For the first time it's okay. A bit dull, but hell, the first cutscene is great! I mean, I somehow simphasized with IRenicus... I found him one of the best charismatic villains EVER - best in all games I played. Just great. The voice, so calm, so ice-cold... great work - actors/designers. And all other NPCs were amazing! The best NPCs are in BG1/BG2 that's for sure! Even Torment pales in comparison. Damn, when they fight each other it's so fun! Korgan is great! SOme really great phrases of his... like: "Well, excuse me, then, perhaps I should be guttin' ye with me axe an' then ye'll worry less about yer precious ale, aye?" Minsc - well, it's one of the funniest NPCs ever! No comment. Aerie.... oh such a sweet girl.... I mean, pure good and beauty... so naive tho. But most importantly, tis the story that makes BG2 really Great! It's really gripping..... it's not cliched, although not so very extreme, yes, but it's really well-written. (except for ToB which story is nonexistent) Also, the "stronghold" feature is cool. I really liked having my own Planar sphere, with my own golem and apprentices..... and Druid's Grove?! My goodness, it's STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! Speaking of which, I have always belived that BG2's environment graphics were one of the best out there. Much better than in NWN, for insance. It's prerendered, and it's really beautiful. BUT character models...... well, player characters I really didn't like..... kinda ugly some of them.... but monsters and special npcs (Jonnny) were superb.

where can i get the tob and iwd2 soundtracks?
mEtaLL1x replied to roshan's topic in Computer and Console
Could any of you point on some FTP with them, or some other source other than P2P. Willl be very grateful. -
I don't know why, but something's keeping me away from replaying Torment.... and that's considering that I did not have every piece of it explored... Plus, so little time...... and plus, even if there is time - it will go to KOTOR 2 once I get it.... Hmm, but I replayed Fallout2 6 times.... and BG2 only 2 times...... Well, Torment is not very replayable for me... as is BG2 - too linear, but GOOD AS HELL!!!!!

It's irrelevant, Tantamus. What, are you denying the fact that most people when drunk act like absolute idiots? YOu can't argue that. I see it everytime my friends or my dad get drunk. What, are you implying that you can drive your car properly when dead-drunk??? And it's not alcohol's fault first hand, it's just a tool. Of course it's fault of the one who drinks too much. So, there ain't no scapegoats here.

There is no truth. There is no good, nor evil. There is no god. etc.etc. all true.

... and then write yet another review!

IWD2...... for me it was cakewalk, even on Heart of Fury. Reason? I.I.I. ! - Imbalanced Improved Invisibility! It was just too easy. Almost no enemy could see you and you was like just solo your sorc in most of the areas. Among Infinity games, the most difficult for me was Baldur's Gate 2: really great battles. I remember fearing the very sight of vampires in the beginning... and then those mindflayers! damn they were hard. And mage battles - my favorite part! It was great dueling my Sorcerer with Jon Irenicus... And then there was ToB with Demogorgon and his croneys..... the whole exp. pack is crap, really: no story, but the battles were sure rewarding.

Yeah, snus! I've heard about it in one of the WC3 replays - the observers were chatttin' about this stuff. It seems to be a lil more healthy than smoking... But I heard that if even a small bit of it gets on your tongue - you'll feel almost nauseuous. Me, I don't smoke and I don't drink, and don't do drugs. I mean, what's the point? I can be cheerful and funny without any alcohol stimulants. Why waste your health on this crap anyway? ANd your brain cells... Don't get me wrong tho, I'm not against drinkin for the pleasure of taste. I love having a glass of some good wine, for its aroma and taste. But to get drunk - no way. My dad has been drinking A LOT his enitre life, prolly that's why I'm so biased against drinking. I mean, people who are drunk are friggin' pigs and imbeciles, I really despice even looking at them. And I despise my father when he is drunk, but when he's sober - I like him. So it's like double ego. Parents-alcoholics is one of the most disgusting things in family and it detoriates its members. And moreover, it is really bad for your health: your kidney will be crapped up and your intelligence will slowly detoriate, as you get older (coupled with natural process of degradation it's devastating). Although, these results may vary: if your constitution is high enough you'll probably end up with only minor effects. Anyway, health problems are minor, compared to social problems of alcoholism, as discussed above.

Yeah, and writer too. Well, both Torment and KOTOR2 dialogs were under his supervision. I'm just watiting to get me hands on KOTOR 2 to see the difference between it and KOTOR1, and I think it will be huge, in terms of char. interaction and dialogs.

I wouldn't go dual class mage in BG1, cuz the level cap is too low. Anyways, I've always prefered pure mages, without any multing or dualling. That's my rolepplay style. It's just me tho.
-
Of course KOTOR 1 is a weakling in comparison with PST! But hey, I was saying that KOTOR 2 might make a difference smaller! Don't forget - Chris Avellone worked on KOTOR2, and he was also one of the key figures in TOrment's development.

I'm more to a nihilist.

Check the control panel, but afaik there ain't no way to modify skin or colors. I think the current skin is great! Pretty simple, but nice-looking.
-
Damn, Ivanushka, nice work! Although, I think KOTOR2 is getting in the field of comparison with BG/PST, don't you think? But yet again, tastes differ. Belive it or not, BG2 hooked me up harder than Torment, although I love 'em both. But BG2 was a wee bit more enjoyable for me.

Daaaaaaaaamn, I'm depressed also....... BG2 was my most favorite gameeee evar, well, equal with FO2, but I even liked it more than PS:T! And now this......... ****, such a great project was nipped in the bud.... Artwork is GREAT! Thx for the link!

I'm pleased to know that the majority of our forum community is sensible people. BUt, anyway, the homework itself is kinda weird.... Summing all the questions up, the actual question is "Are you an atheist?"

Yeah, the bear spider is sure great! Combines two of my favorite animals!
-
Pirates, pirates,,,, make it quick .... I can't wait to get such a wonderous game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Pretty irrelevant, because I was not denied the greatness of person, i was just saying that you can't find only ONE TEH GREATEST person evar in some culture... you can't compare the greatnesses of different persons!

What era do most of your favorite titles come from
mEtaLL1x replied to Zach Morris's topic in Computer and Console
Ah, it's not to be judged. THat's just how it always goes. I think all eras have a lot of good games, and new eras will bring great games too, although, yes there is a tendency of simplification and popularization for marketing needs. BUt it's just some games. -
Hmmm, speaking of photo-editing, here's a link for a truly hilarious collection of some really rare animals: http://www.crazyrussian.com/?itemid=682&PH...11dee02c92ba85d

There is no greatest American, or greatest Russian, or greatest Englishman..... you can't just say that one man is greater than others.... Well, you may like one more than others, but that doesn't really describe him as GREATEST. I think we should rephrase the poll into "The Greatest American*s*" - then it would make sense.

A good moderator job as been carried out. Those two headstrong fanatics have had a very stupid arguement. -
Weeeeell, mister know-it-all, then they have to sue every single RPG-thematical forum/web-site, cuz they are using games's gfx as their skin (sometimes), and again graphics for avatars. No, don't get me wrong. I respect laws, but sometimes exceptions take place.

All depends on the roleplay choice.
