Well, probably they reconsidered. Anyways, such restrictions do take place in some countries. And it's dumb. Yeah, of course extremes are better be avoided. Gotta combine real world activities with virutal world and everything will be fine. But for me the real world here in my town is kinda boring and I just have little pleasure from it, so I spend more time doing those activities that are really pleasant for me: drawing/designing, playing games and surfing the net. Escapism? Maybe partially so.

Hmm, also, is it required to have latest nvidia drivers, if I have a pretty old GeForce 2 card? I got 66.93 winxp drivers.

No, not really a necessity, but just a great addition to usual life. Just a pleasure, you know? ANyways, about violense: Lukas did a smart thing, inventing these lightsabers. I mean, hey! They slice and dice everything in sight, but there ain't no blood! So, even though there is always dismemberment, decapitation, but obvioussly laser-blades burn the wound, so there is no blood coming out, thus it it's not actually "violense". The same goes with the movies.

Damn, I was out for just some hours and lo! there is whole page of aggressive flaming and quarreling! A very interesting read it is. Wee, I really like this forum! But once again, you fail to understand my situation here. I can't buy games from web, alright? I'm not going to explain why, because you won't get it anyway (no offense, but it's just another world here). So, what else am I to do? Nobody sells english-language licensed games here. The only licensed version I can get is russian localization, but not all games are localized in RUssia, most of them are not, actually. So I have no other choice, but to buy pirated versions. It's not because licensed are much more expensive - no! Jewel-versions cost almost the same as pirated, but I just can't find them most of the time. There is no KOTOR Russian licensed localization. I'm not going to strip myself of a pleasure of playing great games just because there is no licensed versions on sale in my town. It's not my problem, alright? call me a thief, I don't give a damn.

Again, depends on a person. Games make my life much happier. Some other problems in life could bring me to apathy, but games help me "chill out", so to speak, and lighten my mood. I know it kinda sounds like a drug, but hell the games can't kill you or harm you in any way, so it's the best drug out there! ^_^ In this case, I'm proud to be called "GAME-ADDICT'

Agree. That's a big problem. Those new laws are ridiculous. I've heard that in Greece it is prohibited to play Counter-Strike! WHAT A CRETINISM! It doesn't reduce crime-rate. But it sure does reduce Greece's progaming potential.

Damn, EVERYBODY in Russia/Kazakhstan "steal" games and other soft/movies! On one of my favorite forums there is an FTP where dozenss of CD images of games wait to be DLed. Nobody sells licensed versions, unless there is an actual licensed Russian localization, which is not very often. So, there are three options: go to store, buy a pirated copy, go to inet and buy licensed copy via web-stores, or go to inet and download the game's cd contents.

Damn, when will it come in Russia/Kazakhstan...... There is no official localization here, so we are again forced to buy pirated versions.

Probably there is a console command for it.
