  1. Well, i don't buy anything for them. I just have 2 armor and 2 robes waiting, before i get rid of my team mates, i strip them naked. but once i get 2 jedi, i mostly use them anyway.....the others quickly become obsolete.
  2. Well, i would find it funny that the patch doesn't fix anything and causes more problems. lol and then Obsidian and Lucasarts say 'there will be no more patches since there are no more problems to fix.'
  3. It works fine for me....i am using 5.3 and 4.3 opengl.dll driver for the glow to work again. (which ATI seems to not wanna fix.)
  4. Well, anyone that plays a consular would have shocked him or put him in stasis and killed them by the time someone else does the damage. I am trying to work out a way to balance out the game abit. you know, change class skills.....stuff like that. For example, the Sentinel has no need for stealth to be a class skill....only Watchman and Assassin get the class skill because of their force cloak....or whatever it is called. If they kept the skill points per turn basicly the same, why couldn't they do the same for the class skills......too bad they really screwed stuff up..
  5. he must have skipped all the optional sidequests. (so essentually, he hasn't completed the game because he hasn't done all the sidequests......well, the ones that ain't bugged anyway)
  6. Well, with the first game, i couldn't run it until 1.03 come out. (not sure why) But i still play it, because it was decently developed. Lucasarts just rushed Kotor II so that it didn't clash with their equally as crap and poorly done Republic Commando.
  7. congrats. but i finished it about a week or two after getting it and i haven't played it since...i have just been testing and trying to figure out what is causing the slowdowns.
  8. if you can't use the 4.3 drivers, then there is no hope....unless ATI get off their asses and does something about it......only people that can use the 4.3 can get the glow back. EDIT: Also, my brother would say that the game is poorly done. (he is a self-absorbed person, he thinks his machine is perfect)
  9. I haven't had any problems with Kotor I or II, everything i have experienced have happend on Nvidia Cards too. (5900Ultra & 6800Ultra) Both get massive slowdowns in the Peragus Minging Tunnels and the area where you take control of T3-M4 on Peragus and on Malacor V on the first area. (same slowdowns on each of the cards, it is just slightly less noticeable...but it is still there) I am using the Unian v1.1.53 drivers based on the Catayst 5.3 and i am using the OpenGL .dll file from Catalyst 4.3 to get the neat glows back. I don't get any crashes what so ever.
  10. Well, why don't you use the saved game editor? (no more pesky 'cheasts used' on the saved game pic) http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=123671
  11. Well, i hope they have like 10+ planets and only a few of them will have anything to do with the storyline. It would just make it more realistic. Because, the galaxy has 1,000s of worlds, but the Kotor I & II galaxies only had 5-7 planets. :/ 1: Tatooine 2: Dantooine 3: Corellia 4: Ord Mantell (or however it is spelt) 5: Kashyyyk (i loved that place, it was pretty cool) 6: Endor (you gotta want to see those furry critters) 7: Korriban (what would Kotor be without it) 8: Corusant (or however you spell it) 9: Bespin (I wonder if the cloud city is there. lol) 10: Alderaan (not sure how to spell that either) Many more, its not like it would cost too much....but if Lucasarts are cheap skates...then they are in the wrong business.
  12. I have already stated one of my ideas, but people seem to moan about it taking too long to do it, but i think a long development is a good thing, considering the disaster of Kotor II. There are very few Jedi and Sith left and you are a weak Jedi or Sith. (You choose from the start) Even though you can start as either a Jedi or a Sith, you just start in different areas and the quests for each side will be totally different. (which means a good replay ability) You could have some neat stuff in it so you can make money for your main quest of rebuilding the Jedi or the Sith. You could perhaps have more of a romance in it and seriously improve the engine to allow accual kisses. (because fading to darkness is not my kind of romance) You get a new ship and it is different in armaments and configuration depending on which side you pick. (Jedi or Sith) Since it will have 2 different start points and end points, you will be able to pick your own crew from 100s of force sensative NPCs. (train them into the Lightside or seduce them to the darkside) If you are playing on the Darkside and one of your crew fails you, you get to kill them. (come on admit it, when one of your party members pees you off, you want to kill them, admit it) Instead of a set number of quests, you could have random quests too and they continusly spawn up on the planets, even after you have been there. (would be pretty cool, it would increase the replay value quite abit) You can play the whole game solo. (for those that prefer to play on their own, which i normally prefer, it depends on the planet, but in the long run i would prefer the choice to going solo or in a group and i mean all the way through the game) You will need crew members on your ship to do specific tasks. (making weapons, armour, sabers and robes, including the upgrades for them) The more good or bad you do, the more people on the opposite side will hunt you down. (you know, be a sith and you get the good guys after you and visa versa for the Jedi) A New Graphics Engine with equal support and testing on ATI and Nvidia. (So, hopefully far less bugs) More Planets 10+ (whats the fun in having a starship when you only got like a small amount of planets to travel to? Why not have several planets there for the realism of being there?) And don't moan about it taking too long, because even if it had only 5 planets, developing a new engine will take a while either way.
  13. Now this idea i like. Barzarel has a good idea there, but we could try to combine my idea with yours to make it far better then Kotor I % II combined. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------- | My Idea | ------------------- Well, If there is a Kotor III, i would like to see the following: 1) Better Graphics Engine (with equal & full support for ATI & Nvidia Cards) 2) Selectable D3D or OpenGL Renderer (both have equal development) 3) More Planets to visit (10 or so, each with their own problems to solve) 4) More Side Quests (each quest has a good & bad solution) 5) Level Cap will be 50 (like kotor 2, but you can reach it without cheating or using glitches) 6) No Random Loot (I preferred it the Kotor I way) 7) Better Endings (i don't think anyone will disagree here. lol) New Ship (You get a totally new ship, which is different depending on which one you decide to be on.....Jedi or Sith) 9) Unique Force Powers and Feats (Main Character randomly gets a bonus feat and force power from 10 different feats and force powers.....5 LS & 5 DS....which is recieved after a certain amount of levels or something like that) 10) Different Party Members (you get to accually pick which members join your group depending on your allignment) 11) AI Abilities (Because some people moan about the games being too easy, the AI should be Addaptive and cunning, it will learn from the way you play the game and alter the game to give you a heck of a challenge) (Think Homeworld 2, but more realistic) 11a) Bosses (Since bosses are masters and far stronger then their peers, they should be immune to all force power attacks....i bet that screws up all you force hoggers) I know this will take quite a while, they could use the same engine i guess, which would shorten the time considerably, but either way i prefer a lengthy development for stable gameplay and near bugless experience, rather then a shorter development with unstable and buggy experience. Also, there is room for improvement What do you guys think of that?
  14. Well, i am just gonna let the game gather dust on the shelf and since i have completed it once, i don't see the point in playing it again. Lightside Male is enough for me. (since there is only minor flirting and non-existant endings) I am still playing Kotor I, i have finished it 500 times or so and i still play it, but Kotor II, is a one time thing. (just call it a fling, a one night stand and then on the shelf type of thing) The New additions in Kotor II is pretty cool, the reputations, the slightly more decent graphics is pretty cool, but the main thing that makes me cheat on Kotor II is the random loot crap. (i have to edit the game to give my jedi party members sabers and robes because you might be lucky if you find a single robe for yourself through the whole game and the rest don't get nothing at all) But i found a neat mod that allowed you to make robes and sabers on the workbench, but that was after i got totally bored with the game and i think it has gathered several layers of dust by now, since i finished it about a week after i got it, i haven't touched it since. If there is a kotor III, they had better not screw it up like they did with Kotor II. (lack of development and more importantly, it was so small...more planets, more open gameplay, but not too major so that it doesn't clash with their all mighty SWG, which they are screwing up every second they release an update. lol) Its a good job my sister pays for it, i surely wouldn't. (i think Republic Commando is better and that game sucks) Anyway, the patch will be out when it is out. (if it gets out, but you know companies....money first and then money second)
  15. well, buggy or not, i have finished it as a LS Male, i am gonna try it as a Female, but after that, i don't see the point in playing it. (i am a goody-little-two-shoe) If they add new content to it (i doubt it) i might consider playing it again, but at its current state, i get bored of unfinished games VERY quickly. In the Long run, its just like Master of Orion II (Master of Orion III sucked big time), Orion II is far better then Orion III.....Just Like Kotor I is far better then Kotor II. (Better endings and most importantly NO RANDOM LOOT) I hope they add an option for either random loot or kotor style loot because playing a whole game without finding a single robe is really peeing me off. So, until someone can get around the sucky random loot, i have to always edit the saved game to give me and my jedi party members a light saber and a robe. (lightsabers for my party members) I know it is wishful thinking, but i hope Lucasarts does the right thing and funds a content patch for us pc users. I hope they make the right choice and makes Kotor III a PC Title and ports it over to the X-Box and make sure they do it properly. (no rushes) Make it ATI & Nvidia (not another game that is a 'Nvidia is best' or 'ATI is best subject) Besides, the longer it takes, the more bugs to be fixed i guess. But i would weep if all this time and all they fixed was some spellin mistakes. lol
  16. Well, technically is game is meant ot be fun to play, not challenging. (if you want a challenge, play chess with someone or something that stimulates the mind.
  17. lame joke....i assume you are a kid right? april fools is totally boring and made just so kids and cause trouble without being bitched at.
  18. I am always lightside, i always feel real bad when doing the darkside, i never finish the game. Too bad Kotor I or II never gives you a totally different crew depending on your allignment.
  19. through all this, i have yet to see a single screenshot of the problem.
  20. Taris is far better because you always got armour for your whole group without needing to buy any.
  21. dude, its called saving up. :/ and who said anyone were losers???
  22. all i can say is get a card.....you can get a 9800Pro for like
  23. I couldn't agree more. I refuse to give any more $$ to George Lucas' substandard products. As for Obsidian, I will NEVER blindly buy their products again. I was a huge fan of KotOR 1 so I blindly bought the sequel. I'm also a huge fan of NwN (have all the addons including the Premium mods) but I will NOT blindly buy NwN2 because I don't trust them to put out the quality product I would've expected. I will wait to find out if it's worth the money first. Of course, all of this can be rectified by both companies by having them fix their existing products to a standard that is expected by their consumers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeh, but it would be cool, if they could make Kotor III have Co-Op Capability. Each person is part of the group. hehehehe.....now that would rule. but i think they should finish Kotor II before doing any other product.
  24. Well, i haven't played Kotor II since a week after it was released, after completing it once, i saw no point in playing it again and the lack of a decent ending put me off completely. I personally never use force powers because they are way overpowered, especially the force Lightning and later levels and force crush, even force enlightenment was way over-powered. My stats would be: (i think this should be a possible stat setup) str - 10 dex - 16 con - 10 int - 18 wis - 8 cha - 8 Who cares if you cann't use force powers against the enemy, it might screw up people that can't live without force powers, but hey, using force powers constantly does make the game far more easier then it is, considering everone always uses Master Speed combined with Master Flurry with either Dual Sabers or a Double Bladed Saber. So i say, stick to single saber and go for the dueling feat, you get defence and attack bonuses. Besides, you shouldn't ask how you should play the game, it is up to you.
  25. well, i don't care about this game, its totally boring now. Its been on my shelf gathering dust for like a week after i got my copy, since i finished the LS ending and well, i was put off of ever playing it again, unless they release a patch putting in the cut content and adding new content in. (which i doubt will ever happen) So, I ain't gonna buy anything from Lucasarts ever again. (nothing at all, i ain't even gonna watch the new StarWars movie) I *might* try games made by Obsidian, but i won't promise anything....but if it has any link to Lucasarts, they can go **** themselves. Lucasarts has a single chance to redeem themselves and that is to do what they should have done from the start. (release a content patch and finish the sodding game)
