  1. Still open? Or is this calm before the storm? Could the forums have...survived?
  2. "You fight like a nerf herder!"
  3. So this might be my last post. Got to try: ****! EDT: Damn it. Still no swearing, damn it!
  4. Mistress's Lair looks promising and anything is better than Codex. I'll try my luck there. Winterwind I'm already aware of, but it looks too niche for me. (What?! I'm bashing Codex? What makes you think so?)
  5. Same here, I've used them too much to ever be able to move to console controllers. No matter how flexible. Have to admit though, that S-controller for bill-box feels quite right for my hand. Good enough to have endless co-ops of Halo on my friend's 'box.
  6. Good idea for an article and well executed. Thanks B5C n/p: Ram-Zet - Queen
  7. Well Mistress' Lair is the forum that got set up after Interplay closed down the community forums, so we could just be the 2nd migration. Set up after IPLY's downfall? Why the hell nobody has told me about this?` So...linky?
  8. So the next question is: Where's everyone going now? I doubt most of us are willing to dare the Bioboards. Too many fanboys, too moderated to have heated spammalicious discussions. Is there an option? Other than Codex anyway? n/p: Ram-Zet - Queen
  9. Thank god it's only temporary. Save our accounts, Obsidian! And I'm sad too. I don't want to go back to RPGDot and Codex.
  10. Numa...what? That song is O-Zone's Dragostea din Tei. An I agree it's addictive. And overplayed here in Finland.
  11. Undying had some awesome portraits(with accompanying horrorific effects) and grand looking textures. I also second the Icewind Dale comment. Simply amazing.
  12. If you can call them mods, I've played fan missions for Thief/Thief2 for years. There's approximately 500 missions that I remember playing. Some quality work too, as the original developer's(LGS's) work is already toppled by some of the best missions. Yes...they're good. For those not in the know: http://www.thief-thecircle.com/ http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=100 http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/ http://thiefmissions.com/search.cgi?search=&sort=release#m I so love giving unexplained links.
  13. Yes it was. Thank god Illusion Softworks(the developer) are planning for a sequel. Something to quench the thirst for mobster games, ah....thank you.
  14. Fnck, man. Go easy on the animated sigs. Those things look great, but...man...how they distract the eye!
  15. I'm a sucker for that Danny Elfman -sound. Beeen since I saw Batman Returns a decade ago. There's something compelling about it that can't be heard from the works of e.g Zimmer and Silverstri. At first it sounds like every other darkly majestic score, but there's so many layers in to it. And the fact that he's composed music to almost third of all my favorite films doesn't help to ease my fandom a bit either.
  16. Fourth ending: Get stuck in the Cathedral in Paris and later stop playing out of boredness. You could also kill yourself, which most fans see as a valid endgame.
  17. In no particular order, really: Thief: The Dark Project Thief 2: The Metal Age Age of Empires 2+Expansion Icewind Dale 2 Rune Thief 3 Mafia Planescape: Torment Baldur's Gate 2 Fallout 2 Not much CRPG's there.
  18. Complicated? Rome? Hah, go play some games by Gary Grigsby and then come back to tell me that Rome is complicated.
  19. Wow. A Sepultura quote at the topic start. I'm baffled About the game, it's been delayed almost dozen times already, but survived though a long pricess of monetary problems. It's being developed by Tannhauser Gate, the same devs behind Mimesis Online. For more info; I suggest googling.
  20. When blasting a fireball? I'd like to be anywhere else except looking at somebody's eyes when practically a TNT explodes next to it. Anyway, I think that if the U3-engine could be used for BG 3 it would spell only good things to the CRPG-community. Look at Oblivion. Looks good, doesn't it? Now picture that with having an argument about the best course of action eye-to-eye ith your mage, in first person view. And hearing the horde of skellies led by dread knights storming over the hills to attack you with 3D-sound. I like what I'm seeing.
  21. Zork, eh? I should have known. Everytime I see it mentioned, it's done by a veteran gamer with eccentries. "
  22. Goodie. More fighting! *takes out popcorns*
  23. Floodgate, Irrational Games, Obsid, PB and LGS in it's past, spring to mind. All hail LGS.
  24. I've heard that quote several times when traveling the vastness, that is internet. Where is it from?
  25. Oh my god! Somehow the truth has been let out! We must quickly silence this traitor! I will personally try to find the mole among our ranks. This sort of thing will not go unnoticed by our great leaders Jorma Ollila and Tarja Halonen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't forget the Supreme Commander Vanhanen.
