I found the Hordes-expansion in a store near me to cost only 14.95 euros. Worth buying? I have the original game, which I played till the third chapter became overpowering in suckiness. Then I began playing the modules. Soon I started to hate the fact that most of the interesting(I don't mean the BEST) ones were HotU-reliant, and therefore unavailable for me. Also, there's been many good reviews of this expansion, and the team, Floodgate, has some people originating from the dream-team Looking Glass working amongst them. Still, I'd like to hear humble gamers's opinion, Bioboards for example are too biased, but I've learned to trust the folks populating this board. Worth buying?

It's good. Nothing great, but good in overall. Best thing LucasArts has made themselves since the adventure games. That's not much though.

For some reason, everytime I try to start BG I just get bored fast and uninstall everything. Last time I played, got as far as Cloakwood(or was it?) and then just stopped playing. I think I've never seen city of Baldur's Gate eventhough I'm a huge Infinity-fan.

I think I'll wait a few years before playing Torment again. A truly lovely game from what's I probably remember hardly anything about after two years or so. Thank God(s) for loose human memory.

Well, I place all dungeon crawlers under the same category. Some of those are just a bit more intelligent than others.

I've been reading a lot of RPG-forums recently and the general concensus seems to be that IWD2 was a great bit harder than all the other Infinity games. I can't understand that. Sure it got some very strategic battles and you had to sometimes use your party's skills to their maximum effect, but in overall I consider it to be almost a cakewalk compared to BG 2 and 1. BG 2 had insane spell-spamming battles and hard mages and on the other hand, BG 1 was a newbie's nightmare(and mage's <_< ), having one of the hardest starts ever. I remember dieing several times in the first wolf encounter. And the undead wolf pack? Frickin' insane. What do you CRPG-players extraordinaries think? Though or not? (have my posts suddenly become a great bit longer?)
