Ninja Gaiden II Preview
Well, I'd wait till I get to the those "questionable elements" before making any kind of judgment. I think I already know what you mean and it didn't bother me all that much. Then again, I'm playing on Acolyte, didn't feel like being a man and constantly throwing the controller to the wall and instead decided to just start again on Warrior after playing it through. And since I missed the Rod of Trials on this playthrough(second level, yard full of ninjas, kill everyone, wait, enter relic room), there's plenty of incentive for the next one. I'm in chapter 8 myself, making fillets out of yet another section of Black Spider army. The tonfas are LOVE. The snowy St. Petersburg setting is LOVE. XXXXAXY is LOVE.

No no no, the the seasonal rating system is subjective. My March could be your June and your October my January. Let's say...March is better than February, but worse than May, which is a bit worse than August, but tops July. In laymans terms, a solid 7 out of 12. Simple.

I sort of liked it as well. Hayden can't act much, but he is very decent in combat scenes. Though that might have something to do with his constant constipated face... Anyway, it was worth the sitting. Quirky battles, rather nice new faces for actors and, while the Jumpers vs. Paladins overall plot reeks of camp, it was a decent watch. I'll give it a March.

Skyforger - Oh Fog, Oh, Dew Latvian Riflemen is okay, Kauja pie Saules is good, but Perkonkalve is better. Have to eventually get Sword's Song as well. I heard the neofolk turn they did was for the best, which can't be said about most artists who just suddenly change their genre.

Ninja Gaiden II Preview
I'm in chapter 7 and am completely in love with the game. The boss fight of chapter 6 was the best yet and the build-up to that for the last few chapters felt so good. Team Ninja has a created an incredibly well-balanced game that, like its predecessors, kicks you into the curb just to get you coming back for more after each defeat until you realize the last battle was over in five seconds. Five seconds of whirling bloodstorm of limbs and heads. All those defeats had built up experience and that experience resulted in three flawlessly executed Kusari-gama combos and finally an on-landing-UT. For me, that's the kind of game Ninja Gaiden 2 is shaping to be.

I could imagine a "DoWnet"(omg, original) where online players could store their armies with all their equipment, battle gear, experience, replays and what not. Pretty much like any MMO's database. When joining a multiplayer game, players could decide whether they want to use their unique consistent army or a prefab one. That, gentlemen, would be beyond awesome. Especially if there were unique loot online, like my WAAAGH decorating their Nobz with the heads of Nick's humies, or a squads being uniquely named after their losses, victories, etc. Persistent content that mattered.

Here's hoping they get the consistent component in. I can't imagine what a massive amount of testing getting everything balanced will need.

Yeah, always be in cover, pick a weapon with very little spread or none at all from ranges(pistol, sniper rifle) and take pock shots at the enemies. Tell your team mates to take cover and just hang in there. Eventually there's a lull in the battle while the enemy reloads or changes position, change to close combat weapons like shotguns and assault rifles and advance before they start the shooting again. Usually one of two things occurs: a) some of the enemy notice you and move closer b) they crouch behind their cover and keep shooting. In both cases, advance through covers every time you are not being shot and take every enemy piecemeal. This works fine until you start dealing with powers and abilities, but you'll be fine once you get the hang of it.

NWN2 XP2 Storm of Zehir Wishlist
No irritating romances please. The completionist in me cries every time I have to bear through more fantasy hanky-panky just to get a complete experience. I'd like the ability to use horses on the world map. With this I mean something similar to Fallout caravans or the car; horses would raise your traveling speed(in this vein, add teleportation between cities as well!) on the map, but serve no function outside it. I'm fairly aware of at least some of the problems that adding horses this late to the game would cause and I'm rather fine with just the fast travel function or something similar. Horses would be featured, but there'd be no need to implement combat animations, mechanics, etc for them. Tons of half-breeds, please. IWD 2 Yuan-Ti temple was a huge improvement compared to IWD 1 Dragon's Eye Yuan-Ti portion, simply because there were so many types of threats. A game about Yuan-Ti plots needs that kind of variety. Though I hope it does not need a similar massive battle to end it.

Oh yeah? How about you try doing that with my fist in your FACE! In any case, I wonder how Relic is going to go about skirmish and multiplayer. The experience gain mechanic, loot and such do not seem like they would work in a regular deathmatch at first sight. I'm wondering if there even is a single match capability or if multiplayer has some sort of campaign map as well. It will be interesting to see how players will react to the fact that they can't just spam 1,5 tier with heavy bolters, but only have 6 squads. I mean, that sounds a lot, but with CoH style cover and garrisonable buildings, it's a whole new battlefield.
