Which was kinda my point.

Well, this is finished stuff that released into the net so of course it looks great. I've seen storyboards and sketches and believe me - they can blow.

There also was a concept art release at the official site a while ago. The weapons look interesting, particularly one that looks like an unholy union of a Pontiac front bumber and a hoover. Also the flame blade is awesome, especially the "protection equipment". Otherwise it's pretty generic really. More like urban Mad Max than Fallout, but I did find at least the area design concepts very decent. Edit: Also, craymen. Those whom it concerns know what I mean.

I'm on the 10th ep and it's sublime. That mech has a vagina! Rampant innuendo! Adrenaline-choking battles! And yet...the characters seem to display growth. Gainax freaking did it again!

PETITION: PLEASE CHANGE THE INFINITE AMMO DESIGN
Musopticon? replied to Xard's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
And Chain Shot special ability makes a heck of a lot "sense", right? I'm for unlimited ammo, since shooting will hardly be essential in this game, if first looks and dev comments are of any indication. And anyways, if you ever come upon a situation where actually need more than a clip of ammo, you are one lousy spy. I don't think ammo management has a place here. The whole scavenging aspect is easy argue for in a game like Deus Ex and SS2, because they are shooters. Their primary gameplay(and please, I've played both, I know they are winnable with just the wrench/nightstick) mechanic was first person ranged combat, which was the most safe method of winning over the enemy. Alpha just doesn't seem like a game where you could rely simply or even generally on your guns, so I think it's fair that the ammo management in streamlined away and the focus placed elsewhere. -
Jaheira is the single most useful BG2 npc. Period. Tanks dish out and take more damage, Viconia and Cernd are a superior casters, but there's no one else with such versatility. I hate to say this, since they were awful in BG1, but with Imoen and Jaheira in my party, all the necessary roles in a dnd party are already filled and I can just pick whatever stray straddlers I want to. Therefore, I always take them both. If I hate to hear about Jaheira's obsession with me on that particular walkthrough, I'll just pick female in character creation.

I don't even know what all the weapons will be. Besides the tonfas, I know of the returning DS, VF and Lunar and then there's at least some kind of set of double swords, a shinobi chain weapon, an awesome scythe and the strapped blades, but the mere fact that they added gore to already beyond incredible VF combos fills me with glee. If you ask me, Ninja Gaiden Black just about made him that. That game was insane. I'm eager for Friday. I want in on the tonfa awesomeness!

I work on a graveyard. Now, that raises several questions on the likability of my survival, should the dead walk the earth, or, as people in the know like to call it, When the **** Hits the Fan or WtSHtF(cf. hand of god event, disease walkers). None of these questions have positive answers. The mere fact that the graveyard is an old army one and is in the middle of the city should be a fair warning for anyone interested on remaining on this earth relatively alive and breathing. However, there is a a sizable storage of bladed gardening tools, electric cutters and the like in the premises, so armament should not be a problem. Another good thing is a chapel with basement access and blockable loft stairway, both of which could be used (either) as bunkers (or deathtraps). Furthermore, there's an army office nearby, which, naturally, has a small armory. It's not accessible to just anyone of course, but in the event of WtSHtF, anyone reckless and foolhardy enough(read: me) would most likely find themselves with a shiny rifle or two, kept in good condition thanks to the by-the-book nature of the office staff. Then again, if the zombies are of the diseased runner variety, I might as well jump from a cliff and hope for quick divine intervention.

I mowed grass and trimmed lawn edges from 7 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon(**** you prepositions). Just like I used to do every summer. This time, however, I will get paid. Hopefully I'll get to water flowers or dig graves or something soon though. Unlike lawnmowing among gravestones and across cemetery sections, watering doesn't seem to give my superiors such a massive tutoring drive. I don't like being constantly prodded when it's just me, that trimmer and tons of grass. It's like their marking system needed some kind of specialized mathematics to learn. Just go do you thing and stop giving me contradictory advice. I got more done during the day than anyone else there, ffs.

I wish I actually owned a 360 so I could take the game online, the modification options would be tasty.

So, does anyone know when the free new levels for Army of Two become available or us Europeans? I've been playing it on the hardest difficulty recently and it's still an enjoyable experience. The length of the campaign is what has been bothering me. That and, of course, complete lack of any believable characters...

Tomorrow is work day. Real actual work day. Well, damn.

Oblivion Lost also suffers, or used to when I tried, from awful bossmonsteritis.

IIRC, there's at least Fey Pact, Demon Pact and Star Pact(whatever that means).
-
Seems they are. In a goddamn JE thread even!

Hell, I was wondering why you didn't come online anymore. That worm is a bastard, I got the subversion message from at least 4 people during the last 5 hours, luckily I saw that thing was an "exe" before I downloaded the supposed "image file". Onnea sen kanssa.

I have reservations over how they will deliver on the atmosphere, but even if they'd remove any connections to previous Red Alert games and call it "EA Wars", I'd still love what they have done with water and navies in the game. Amphibious is the word of the day! Also, the mechs are there, I wonder if the schoolgirls will be as well.
