  1. Hahhahhah, well, I guess you could say that, I'm so used to Nurmio. Alamaailman Vasarat - K
  2. Howard is a maestro, definitely. I just finished Feist's Magician:Apprentice, revised edition, it was pretty solid, considering he wrote it back in 77. I'll probably buy the rest of the Riftwar books as well, since I've only read Serpentwar cycle and a couple of stand alone books from him.
  3. Congrats then! I still have roughly a decade to go...ugh... Yesterday, I went to see Alamaailman Vasarat and Tuvalu at Tampere Klubi with the missus and her friend, who came from Lahti to photograph the gigs. Both were great, even though Tuvalu's theremin was busted and they had to emulate the sound with synth and Vasarat played only one song from K
  4. Well, I didn't like that omelette, it tasted of plastic and paper.
  5. Thanks to the hype brought on by this thread, I'm installing Battle Realms+Wolf Expansion.
  6. Uh, well it comes to preferences in the end, then. I too hated the army control in Ceaser 3 and Pharaoh, but in Zeus:MoO it was already very decently executed. Anyway, I've always thought that "strategy games" included a wide scope of games, everything from god games to 4x and from rts to city builders. Gaming biz generally included anything where the player either a)uses resources to build and conquest or/and b) has command over units under the apellation "Strategy", so I've usually went with that. But the actual definition of the term and its scope is anyone's guess.
  7. I've always thought city building sims a subset of strategy games. Particularly Impressions/Tilted Mill games, since, ever since Ceasar 3, you can control armies in them.
  8. Daft Punk - Robot Rock *does the robot*
  9. I think I prefer the "siell
  10. Cleaning Women - Pneumatik
  11. Hah, I have exact same editions of AoM, Warcraft, Rome Gold and Generals.
  12. Hmm, I need to log in from both my girlfriend's and my dad's computers each time, although both the Mozilla setting and the forum setting is set to "remember me". Dad's comp: Mozilla Firefox(newest) WinXP Home F-Secure(disabled, except application control) GF's comp: Same version of Firefox, I think Vista No security other than Vista native.
  13. That shall forever be between you and your conscience.
  14. Just went to the mausoleum and it's really gripping me. I love the Seikendensetsuish(neologism, pshaw) combat, it's such a breath of fresh air after my tumble with Breath of Fire 2 and its horrible FF-boredom.
  15. Hmm..."Zealadin" is gues you could call the build, but I could never decide on the best aura to use. I used freeze for ages, but fanaticism was great as well.
  16. I'm playing Tales of Phantasie, been a while. Now that's a timeles classic!
  17. In this case, I think DN probably just forgot he had already posted for today, considering the posts are so near each other. But yeah, there's really no need for an update if there's nothing to bring up-to-date. I started Golden Sun 2 and then realised that I had yet to play Golden Sun 1! So I'm gonna do just that.
  18. Don't worry, random, I still hate you!
  19. Mongol Empire was hardly permanent as well and consisted largely of pasture. I wouldn't call it much of a conquest, but you have to love how quickly they ran over South-East Asia. I'd like to argue over Persian Empire having a much larger cultural effect than Roman Empire ever, partly because Rome just integrated Hellenistic cultural legacy into their originally Italic one almost seamlessly, almost like in a continuum with Alexander, taking over and not creating much of their own, and mostly because Persian Empire(all three) were so long-lasting. But post-Roman cultural legacy is so massive that I'm maybe treading over dangerous semantic grounds. Not to mention, it's hardly a discussion suited for Computer and Console.
  20. I don't understand why they fumbled combat in Assassin's Creed. Their previous game, Two Thrones, had some really challenging combat scenes. Then again, perhaps that's why.
  21. I have to second the Jeremiah recommendation, the series has been very good.
  22. Nowadays(when compared to say...two month ago), I have that problem as well. Though I do use a lot of different computers.
