Fable?
Well, I didn't like that omelette, it tasted of plastic and paper.

Uh, well it comes to preferences in the end, then. I too hated the army control in Ceaser 3 and Pharaoh, but in Zeus:MoO it was already very decently executed. Anyway, I've always thought that "strategy games" included a wide scope of games, everything from god games to 4x and from rts to city builders. Gaming biz generally included anything where the player either a)uses resources to build and conquest or/and b) has command over units under the apellation "Strategy", so I've usually went with that. But the actual definition of the term and its scope is anyone's guess.

I've always thought city building sims a subset of strategy games. Particularly Impressions/Tilted Mill games, since, ever since Ceasar 3, you can control armies in them.

Hah, I have exact same editions of AoM, Warcraft, Rome Gold and Generals.- Log-in problems
Hmm, I need to log in from both my girlfriend's and my dad's computers each time, although both the Mozilla setting and the forum setting is set to "remember me". Dad's comp: Mozilla Firefox(newest) WinXP Home F-Secure(disabled, except application control) GF's comp: Same version of Firefox, I think Vista No security other than Vista native.- Zero Punctuation - Yahtzee reviews
That shall forever be between you and your conscience.- What are you playing now?
Just went to the mausoleum and it's really gripping me. I love the Seikendensetsuish(neologism, pshaw) combat, it's such a breath of fresh air after my tumble with Breath of Fire 2 and its horrible FF-boredom.- Diablo II builds
Hmm..."Zealadin" is gues you could call the build, but I could never decide on the best aura to use. I used freeze for ages, but fanaticism was great as well.- What are you playing now?
I'm playing Tales of Phantasie, been a while. Now that's a timeles classic!- What are you playing now?
In this case, I think DN probably just forgot he had already posted for today, considering the posts are so near each other. But yeah, there's really no need for an update if there's nothing to bring up-to-date. I started Golden Sun 2 and then realised that I had yet to play Golden Sun 1! So I'm gonna do just that.- New Fallout 3 screens
Don't worry, random, I still hate you!- short Empires Total War impressions
Mongol Empire was hardly permanent as well and consisted largely of pasture. I wouldn't call it much of a conquest, but you have to love how quickly they ran over South-East Asia. I'd like to argue over Persian Empire having a much larger cultural effect than Roman Empire ever, partly because Rome just integrated Hellenistic cultural legacy into their originally Italic one almost seamlessly, almost like in a continuum with Alexander, taking over and not creating much of their own, and mostly because Persian Empire(all three) were so long-lasting. But post-Roman cultural legacy is so massive that I'm maybe treading over dangerous semantic grounds. Not to mention, it's hardly a discussion suited for Computer and Console.- What are you playing now?
I don't understand why they fumbled combat in Assassin's Creed. Their previous game, Two Thrones, had some really challenging combat scenes. Then again, perhaps that's why.- New TV recommendations needed.....
I have to second the Jeremiah recommendation, the series has been very good.- Log-in problems
Nowadays(when compared to say...two month ago), I have that problem as well. Though I do use a lot of different computers.- What you did today

Maybe when the teacher didn't do his dissertation on post-modernist literature and you aren't four days late. It would also have helped to have seen the play the novel is about on stage. I'm juggling with bare minimun analysis here. But I got over 5 pages of that done now, so I only need to do a conclusion and then finish an introduction and I'm home free. I'll get a freaking computer for next year so I don't have to rot in these computer classrooms. There's barely any oxygen here and the water is only warm on weekdays, pffft.- What you did today
Or then maybe not. Instead, I'm stuck here doing this essay, ****. Well, there's gonna be a Alamaailman Vasarat gig with Tuvalu at Klubi, so at least something to look forward to. Gf did chocolate cake and colored her hair red. I watch the green of the leaves deepen and wait for the season to set trees a-blossom. Ah, such is life. - The Music Thread
