  1. TLJ is in my top five alltimers. Rather awesome.
  2. T
  3. Attended a homebreaking party. The attendance was mostly nerds in their early 20's and the talk of the day was free-form gameplay and player-emergent gameplay in mumorpeges. Much beer was had, Dragons of Autumn Twilight animated was watched and torn apart and everyone was in agreement that a modern rpg setting based on both The Wickerman(1972) and Dog Soldiers(both of which we watched) would be awesome. It was kind of interesting to confirm that my new friend actually has around 100 hardcover systems(woo Exalted!) and that his name is actually typoed in 4th ed D&D tester credits. I got home around 4 in the morning. Had a blast.
  4. Not to tackle entirely, that's insane, but see to it that the odd 200 people have a chance by trying to, for instance, reintroduce them to the society via whatever mean available. E.g see that there's an incentive to learn a profession or study by providing job opportunities. Sorry for the horrible generalization. I've been studying goddamn Eagleton this afternoon and it burns man, burns. Brainfarts aplenty.
  5. ^hahhahah ShadowPaladin, Numbers, Ender and Mets were all great to have around for their own reasons. I expect the first one will come around once his peculiar cycle of work-freetime-work goes full again. Wasn't Numbers banned? Ender got enough of mods and Mets is...quite occupied. Perhaps I kinda miss Darkside, Archmonarch and...well, there's a lot.
  6. You, my friend, have come upon the point.
  7. We lit a candle the day before yesterday. Friends of my friends died in the shooting. Never met them and honestly my reaction is still a temperate "wtf" and not sorrow, but I understand the gravity of the matter anyway. Food for thought: The "passing age" between government-supported mental healthcare that ends when you are eighteen and self-funded healthcare that comes available once(well, if) you start to get paid enough is something the government has completely forgotten. There's basically no coverage for people aged 19-23, unless you happen to attend a school which has a supported health plan. Not everyone can, and especially the ones that don't really fit anywhere and never finish studies even on the basic school level - apparently there's around two hundred kids like this every year - are ostracized and often can't even get jobs. It's these people we should be looking after instead of stricter gun laws. Of course, this doesn't apply to the Kauhajoki gunman, since he was well on his way in vocational school, but the problem exists nevertheless. Social isolation exists and is something for the government to tackle on it's term. The fact that they cut mental healthcare funds in their last budget doesn't help either.
  8. No, it would be populated by Maxis-made monsters.
  9. If you read it carefully, it'll come clear that there's no "version" actually and it's all idle speculation.
  10. I hated BG 1. It figures I geuss. Blade of Dorkness is pretty awesome so far. Though the difficulty curve can be horrendous at times.
  11. Magyar Posse - Kings of Time(whole album) Hellooooo, awesomeness!
  12. ^Calibre lol I'm playing Severance:Blade of Darkness. Whoever made the OpenGL raster for it has my everlasting gratitude.
  13. You can play with Polish voices?! Hell. Yeah.
  14. Michael Bell! "Kain!!!" WIN! WIN!
  15. What's your basis for this? And anyway, why have another thread for art? It's not like samm is breaking the fold set by the thread starter.
  16. Hohhoh, I get to play this next Friday-Saturday. It's supposedly a pre-fab campaign, but that's ok - keeps the instances short, my last bachelor year is a bit full as it is. Now I have to dig up a 3.5 Phb and start imagining a char. I'm giddy, to be honest.
  17. My longest-running pet peeve of all time is to only have a save point some strides before a boss monster and then having to go through parts of a level and to fight a number of basic enemies every time you want to retry the bossfight. It's especially annoying when the game is difficult to beging with, like Ninja Gaiden Black. It's an awesome game, but not having autosaves before a boss-fight is a drag. Soul Reaver 2 is not much better. Save point systems in general are atrocious. I can understand in-universe save systems, like only getting to make a hard save in a safe house or when you find a secure spot to sleep, etc, but otherwise I hate the idea. It's only a mechanism to create arbitrary game lenght. Another annoyance is gotcha-difficulty. Being lulled into a certain mindset of the general difficulty, the player is just having a great time and suddenly...HELICOPTER FIGHT IN A SINKING SHIP LOLELOL. **** you, Crytek.
  18. Avernum 3 Thief 2 Freelancer Icewind Dale 1(+HoW+TotLM) Stalker Homeworld Battle for Middle-Earth 2+Rise of the Witch King Call of Duty 2 The Longest Journey Onimusha 3: Demon Siege Tsukihime: Lunar Legend Fate/Stay-Night Starcraft Diablo 1 Puzzle Quest Dungeon Siege 2(gonna buy the expansion tomorrow) 5 Days a Stranger 7 Days a Sceptic I recently(well, in a month) uninstalled: The Witcher, Tribes:Vengeance, Mafia, Disciples 2, Call of Duty+expansion, Dreamfall, Quake 4, Civ 4, M.U.G.E.N, Homeworld 2, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Icewind Dale 2, C&C 3+Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 2+Yuri's Revenge, Far Cry, Battle Realms+Winter of the Wolf and Age of Mythology+Titans. So, basically, I revamped the whole game library.
  19. That goes both ways - your taste, going by the selections, doesn't leave me very impressed. Last Ninja 3 had an awesome intro for it's time. Though I remember the 1st game better.
