  1. Again I'm mystified by mods's inability to edit posts. Unless playing a copy of F3, on the Xbox, bought from a major store chain in Finland somehow constitutes piracy.
  2. So it's an addiction and money sink for the both of you now? Congrats! Edit: The point was rather that she's not a gamer by any stretch - this is her 2nd pc game ever. Of perhaps 5 games she's played overall.
  3. That's actually a very good comparison. The only difference is that the game actually drops hints.
  4. So, I killed the vampire boss on the Island of Karum, but I realised I had missed parts of the level, thanks to scouring walkthroughs in order to learn how to beat that bitch, so now I'm going through the level again to see what I missed and to beat the boss with my own skills and not some internet wt strategy. Also, some Nethergate:Resurrection on the side. Edit: Almost forgot, but I got my girlfriend hooked on TLJ. Win of the month, I daresay.
  5. "Sucked" is an overstatement, I thought it was generally better than the last two Bio games, which isn't much, but quite decent all the same.
  6. Pixies - Debaser
  7. ^Wuss! Neil Young - Old man
  8. Twilight Singers - Bonnie Brae
  9. TOMBS died because no one did reports anymore. Yeah, it's all your fault! Granted, I did perhaps 4 in my time, two of members who are gone. Edit: Yeah, being provocative and insulting most often only leads to probation or a 3 day "cooling" break. Also, the new mod squad(Gorth, Tigranes, Steve, etc) is decidedly easier on us than the old codgers who used to moderate this forum, mostly on a whim.
  10. Hey hey hey hey! Mods mods mods! What's my warning level like right now?
  11. It's an awesome game, man.
  12. I hope it's not too easy, the best way to ruin an adventure is to take away the feeling of achievement.
  13. Severance, I'm at the Island of Karum(karum akkad. "port"). The boss is a freaking vampire with a life sucking axe AND SHIELD. Which means you'll have to destroy the shield before concentrating on damaging that bastard, because he's fast and a great blocker. Problem is, every time your character accidentally or purposefully hits the shield, the boss drains as many hitpoints as your attack did damage. Ergo, first you'll have to slog through his shield, heal yourself(gods help you, if you are out of potions) and finally cause some damage to him. Then again, his weapon is still vampiric, he(or it)'s still too fast for most combos and when you finally beat him down to around 1500 health, he starts to teleport behind you and combo your ass. Soon, his health is full(unless you either keep your back to a wall or use the horribly clumsy back attack) again and you might as well reload. This guy is harder than NG2 Erzebeth, I swear.
  14. Tremere and Nosferatu have their own joints, provided you please the respective clan primogens, but everyone else has to suck up to Lacroix if they don't want to rot in Santa Monica. Granted, Strauss and Gary need sucking up as well, but at least they aren't whimpering fools.
  15. Bloodlines, Tremere blood mage/martial artist/licker finding that Hollywood has a lot more than dead movie stars buried under it. Also, that Tremere haven is totally cool.
  16. You're there to stop the apocalypse from happening, where's the ambiguity exactly? It's silly to think the Reavers as anything other than Shadows/Inhibitors/(insert random alien machine threat here). A clear villain with clear objectives. The only ambiguity was in Saren, but I failed to see how exactly he had more depth than, say, Malak. A much more competent VO and better lines though.
  17. Well, to be honest, this was Runescape. The virtual effort needed for success pales in comparison to any of the big names, like EQ2 and WoW. I call harsh. Seriously, they weren't even 16, what's wrong with this particular judge?
  18. And it doesn't break or destroy anything, unlike some other patches *Hint-Wesp5-Hint* I could mention... ****. And I wondered why Fat Larry kept giving me the parking garage missions, over and over.
  19. Got another job, forgot myself and played Bloodlines till the wee hours and am now gonna sleep. Sleep deprivation hasn't kicked in yet, so I guess my internal clock is screwed. Doesn't bode well for the exam period next week, but what the hell. There'll be some other night to waste on sleeping.
  20. Nevermind the bollocks, Bioware and EA sit on a goldmine. No doubt this thing will sell like hotcakes and make millions. Whether that means more and better SW games or just an expansion every other year, remains to be seen.
  21. Thanks for that, I'll rely that to me friend. It's likely we'll reconsider the purchase. It does sound a bit like Eternal Sonata's co-op, except that it didn't advertise itself as anything but combat co-op. Well, at least there's GoW 2 and CoD 5 to look forward to.
  22. I started Bloodlines, this time with the intention of actually finishing the game, my cds have been busted for a while, so I'm glad to have found a good Federation release. For starters, after fully patching the thing, it's an awesome game. The only things not going for it are the inane hand-to-hand combat and that everlasting memory leak. Otherwise, it's something else entirely, a real gem of a game. With that said, goths are annoying and nerdy. Somewhat like less awesome versions of Don Jags.
  23. From TTLG and Kotaku: Levine is not a major player in the project, it's lead by former Bioshock art and writing leads. Levine is doing an X-com game, by some accounts. The story is "a prequel in a sequel", whatever that means. Personally, I think there's merit to be had in the non-chronological order of storytelling, something that Irrational has already tried and somewhat succeeded with Tribes:Vengeance. We'll see how it will play out. There's a supposed to be some multiplayer features in Sea of Dreams, but that might be just a rumor.
  24. Off-line co-op rpg and Edge reviews it as 9/10? Sold.
