How... how... silly. Another way to aprt you from your money. You can "vote" for your favorite news source with your TV clicker. *All* news today is biased, which is a sad state of affairs. If you want to be truly informed you need to watch or read several outlets and then form your own oppinions.

Here is a question that I have been wondering about... " After you have trained someone as a Jedi, do you need to gain any more influence with them or is that the ultimate goal of influence?

which character do you like best for love quests??
Plooby replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i'm jus' bein' sarcastic Plooby, to each their own. no offense intended. i do think the characters in KotOR are a little melanin-challenged though. hey! i'm 12 & -->1/2<--. i'll be 13 in june. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL... ... so was I, Dread! Almost 13? Wow... you can almost ride in the front seat of a car and order off the big girl menu. Happy birthday early! -
It wasn't a *bad* game... it just wasn't the orignal, which was really hard to follow. I voted for buying it... but that is becuase I don't think that Obisidian is going to let the time limits rush them into an incomplete game, which I think is the main problem with Sith Lords. Had they had evne another couple of months, I am sure that we wouldn't be having this discussion. Yes... the ending was less the desirable and yes... there were some broken or un-finished quests and yes... the NPCs were not as fleshed out. ALL of these could've been fixed with a little more time.

Poor Lord Graven. *picks the poor lord up off the floor and dusts him off* There... all better. I don't have any idea who would be good for a movie and think that people would be diappointed all over the place if there ever was one... since we all have our own ideas about who Revan is.

the best place to start out after Telos
Plooby replied to kevin4's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As a female PC, I would go... Dantoine, Nar Shadda, Onderon, Koriban. Second time through that is my order. That way I get Disciple and some cool Jedi stuff... then Atton becomes a Jedi and you pick up Mira, Goto and finished HK (turned Bao Dur Jedi somewhere in there)... then picked up Mandalore. Korriban last becuase it is so darn boreing. -
*cough*BGIIFlirtPacks*coughcough* Best. Addition. Ever. :D

*sigh* Valen Don't you just love a man with horns... and a tail. Actually that one proves my point. A male PC could choose between Aribeth and Nathyrra, right. THey get a choice... not that I'm complaing. I can't imagine a better choice than the ever-so yummy Valen. My comment about BGII, was that in that game you both get some *real* action. I mean, come on! What's a little snow down your pants when Valen is involved, right?! "

Just so that everyone knows... if you want to get in the HUtt's store room, you gotta do it before you blow up the yaht. I got all dressed up in my Princess Lea Wanna-be dancer's costume and the nasty old Hutt wouldn't even give me a second look. That kind of rejection can really crush a girl, you know? (w00t)

Bao Dur ( ) has been a Jedi both times I have played... I foudn him rather easy to train. And he makes a darn good one if you train him eary enough. What I can't stand is that he can't wear any of the cool robes, but neither can he wear any armor or he can't use the Force. That is one hell of a glitch.

Should KOTOR 3 even be a sequel to KOTOR 2?

Oh... fun, MD! They really are great. Let me know how you like them! -
Question: Why was Darth Nihilus hyped so much
Plooby replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
At first I thought... he was very cool looking, so why not use him? But after reading Franky's reply... I think that might be it. Had the game not be rushed, that may have been explored and... they might have made him harder to defeat. -
I haven't played a male PC yet... and now I'm a little ticked. You get romance talk from THREE NPCs if you play male? And you get to choose between 2? And you get to "see" each other with the blind one (even leaving out the Force part, that is very intimate) and you get to fight Enchani style ( aka without clothes) with the other... and you are complaining?! Are you kidding me?! (w00t) *takes a deep breath* As a female PC you get the "third grade boy who likes you but can't talk directly to you" thing. Atton talks to Bao Dur (your best friend) to ask him if might, kinda, sorta, maybe LIKE you one day. And then when Dischiple shows up and you can convince him to be trained before you even leave the room in which you found him, Atton goes behind your back again and warns him off with the oh-so-clever line "I saw her first!" (Oh, yeah. That one works on me every time in RL. ) And then while you are training with Disciple again, Atton makes all with the jealousy again to Mira? But the ONLY thing he says to your face is that if someone tries to enter your mind you can always play pazzak... with him. (Now, that was sweet! ) Let's see? How does that compare? Let me think..... AHHHHHHHHH! You guys are just whiny complainers! You even got a KISS in KotOR! You got the black-out screen! We got... that he was proud of us. We NEED Fanfic, just to flesh things out and Sith Lords is begging for it! And while we are at it, let me mention the ONLY game to allow both male and female PCs both equal action... BGII. Anomen may have been fingernails-down-a-blackboard irratating, but at least he comes through in the end... and very sweetly. Never played it as a male PC but I hear you guys knock up the always annoying Ari.

No... I meant ME loosing time, not T3.

Atton and Disciple: Ebon Hawk Conversations
Plooby replied to stop_him's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The first time through, I got the Atton/Bao Dur (Did I mentiont that I love a man with horns? ) one right out of the gate... but didn't get Atton and Disciple talking about me at all. *stamps foot* This time I have had the Atton/Bao Dur and the one where Disciple tells Atton that they should concintrate on protecting the Exile. I am leaving Nar Shada now, so I will keep my fingers crossed for the meditating one. Thanks, s_h! :D -
Nice sig, Yunerz!

The Carthilicous One was 38?! OMG! Whatever will we do with such a crusty, dusty old guy! And how old are you, darlin'? 12? " -
Should KOTOR 3 even be a sequel to KOTOR 2?
Plooby replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree with the Knight... a quick expansion... no new fancy stuff... just more of the same, but with an ending that, well, ENDS. And expansions don't always suck... HotU was better than the orginal NWN. :D I would really be upset if they do do KotOR III Exile and Revan and made them less than who they are. I'd rather start with someone new if that is going to be the case. But I am torn, becuase I really have a need to know what happens with Revan and Exile and I think an expansion is the best way to do that. -
So... I have completed Telos and Dantoine and I am ready to leave Nar Shada... BUT I have a couple questions before we all board the Hawk and fly away to our next adventure. 1. How do you get into the door in the Hutt's room that is being watched over by the Kath Hounds? I see the doggie dish and figure that you need to poison the little suckers, but I never saw a way to do this. I am LS and have also wondered wether that is something that a DS does. Either way... it has been bothering me. <_< 2. Just outside of the Hutt's room (to the right as you come out of the waiting room door onto the docks) there are some rooms on your may, but no door. Are these rooms one of the many infomous not finished scetions? 3. Damn the whole Jedi Redemention! I completed the whole planet and was ever-so LS. I walk out of the capital building, march my sparkly bottom up the nasty Jedi-hating chick and she says that she is happy that Mercenaries are gone or something like that, but... no redemention! Argh! (w00t) 4. What's with the "loosing time" thing when I fix T3? He comments on it every time, but I don't remember this ever being explained? 5. I haven't had this happen yet this time, but what's with Go To blowing up Remote? And then he is back, as if nothing ever happened? What did I miss? Thank you!
-
Yes... in so much as I had questions when it finished that really should be answered before KotORIII. That's as helpful as I can get without giving you the ending.
-
I said YES... but I was thinking more of a director's cut for the PC. I just wish that they hadn't been rushed, but you know what they say about wishes.
-
I asked her about everyone and was unsatisfied with several of her answers... Atton and Bao Dur to name two... so when the Hawk flew up and started flying away, I was still holding my controler and mentally scrowling through who I would talk to first and what I wanted to say. THere I sat, still clutching my controller and thinking as the credits scrolled up the screen. It took me a moment or two to process that the game *had* indeed ended. I would say that that points to the ending being pretty much a big dissapointment.
-
Hmmm... interesting. Since I played KotOR on my PC and got an Xbox just to play Sith Lords, I did miss many of the quicker controls that you get on the PC. Now that I have played through once (and started Halo), I ma getting used to them.
-
Soooooo.... DoctorKiara, you aren't too fond of Atton then?

Should KOTOR 3 even be a sequel to KOTOR 2?
Plooby replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
KotOR III has got to be a direct sequel to Sith Lords. It just has to be! Bite your tongue for even thinking that it shouldn't be. All kidding aside :D , they made their bed and now they are going to have to program in it. The next one will really be an expansion of this one. After that, maybe they can take it another way.
