*using the handy bleach eyewash to remove the taint of the idiocy on LucasArts Forum* Darn, that stings! Someone here all but dared me to jump over there and have a look. How many pin heads can you fit on a forum? I don't know, but LucasArts is looking to find out. -

Plooby replied to AromisTallion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Great ideas... but then again, as long as I have Carthi-delicious and Bao Dur , I'm one happy lady! :D -

Most Favorite/Least Favorite characters in TSL
Plooby replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I loved Bao Dur ... and I am sure that comes as a big surprise by now. (Did I mention that I think his horns are HOT? ) I thought he had a very good back story and in my imagination, the Exile and he end up together. Yes... you have to get by the fact that Atton is not Carth. I read that some of you guys (meaning men-type people) thought that Carth was whinnny... ... but I know very few woman gamers that didn't fall for him and fall hard. Atton did have a serioulsy interesting back story. I wish it could've been explored more. Keira's voicing was awesome... the best voice of the cast, hands down. (Followed by Darth Sion.) Although I didn't gain a whole lot of influence with her, she was a very interesting character. I couldn't stand GoTo. *shudder, twitch* I just couldn't see a reason for even having him there. -
Good point... first time around I chose a younger face, but after playing through once... I will always choose an older Exile.

Its a recorded message from Bastilla. Revan asked her to stay at the Sith Academy to await his return but he's been gone too long. Bastilla has decided to leave because the sith students doubt Revan will return and there is rioting and anarchy as many of them try to take his place. Bastilla says they are all too weak and, unlike that schmuk Malak, she'll only ever serve Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, you only get to view it if your Revan was DS... or male... or what? I my first run through the holo was damaged and couldn't be played.

Do people in the KotOR world age differently than you and me? In the original, Carth is my man... and he is hot ... don't get me wrong. But he has a son who is at least 17. So, he's in his late 30s. And Revan can actually be quite young... and she looked it. But, then again, so did he! So, how old is Exile? I mean think aobut it? And Atton is... a baby. Fresh out of diapers. And then you find out that he is If people are this well preserved... how old must the wrinkly people be?

Plooby replied to BastilaShan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1. Carth 2. Carthi-licous 3. Delicious, nutritious, Carthi-licous 4. Bao Dur 5. Atton -
*sigh* So I AM going to have to get the PC version as well. I knew it.

If you want to see the NPCs both ways... play both ways. Easy fix. "

Yeah? That doesn't work out here on the Island.

Who is the Coolest KOTOR II Character?
Plooby replied to AromisTallion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Okay.... it is all about Bao Dur. This is the FIRST time in a game that I have mightly cursed the 'puter gods for not giving me a choice on a romancable NPC. He was like Valen on steroids.. with a little Carthy-licous and Anomen thrown in for good measure. -
How much later would you like K3 to take place?
Plooby replied to Bokishi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh, I would want it to be seconds later. Need to have some conversations! -

Ladies? Where are you? Are we gonna let the guys run unchecked in this thread?? Carth... *sigh*... enough said. Atton... nice try. Poor guy has a lot to over come. BUt he is cute and quirky... fine qualities in a man. We needed more though. " Disciple... yummy voice, although the 80's hair had to go. He is like your very best guy friend who you really do love and if you hadn't been freinds first, there *might* have been something between you. Wich brings me to... Bao Dur... *gets the funny look and starts to drool*... :"> ... sorry! Where was I? Of yes, Bao Dur. He has that whole Valen-esque thing going. Low, rumbly voice. Always calm. Very handy to have around. And, don't forget the whole horns thing. If two worked for Valen... more is definitly better. -
questions from a small island
Plooby replied to GarethCarrots's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh... I heard all the crud about how it would be. In fact, on another site, some one compared the early model for Atton to Rosy O -
It exsists alright... you did feel when she lost her hand. It was also used to explain how she could talk to you in your head and how when one of you used a force power to buff yourself up, the other got it, too. It is true that no one had ever heard of one being lethal, so I guess that part was a lie. Which isn't a surpries... she was pretty much full of lies.
-
I'm with you, NWK... what's with the black boxy in the Spoliers thread? I was wondering wether Carth had said something nasty about poor Master Vandar!
-
You think that the combat overshined the story? THe ONLY combat I had trouble with was the last one. Story... huge! Everyone makes combat games. It is the story that makes a cult following.

I really don't think that there is a contest here and can't believe that they are this close! KotOR broke the mold... is was so good that everything else in comparison bites HUGE. That is not to say that Sith Lords is a bad game. It's a good game... just good. It did make some fun improvements over KotOr. I like the whole influence thing. It brings the whole RP experience up a notch. I like the the colors for the sabers... enjoy the extra upgrades... and like the idea of creating items. THe story was a good one. The NPCs were interesting. Where did Sith Lords fall below KotOR? The graphics just can't hold a candle to KotOR. (Keep in mind that I played KotOR on PC.) THere were times in KotOR that I would just "look" around at the beautiful scenery. I even went so far as to say, "I wonder if I can get a better look at the beach if I find an over look up in the hills?" or "If I go and stand at the edge of the platform there, I can get a great look at the supports in the trees!" :D The storyline (along with the great big old twist) in KotOR was super fantastic fabulous squee-licous and it was tighter than my sisters purse strings... stingy little... person. " Poor Sith Lords feels like is was slapped together with scotch tape and bubble gum. It's an interesting premise.. a hole in the force.. but I ran around and did things and wasn't even sure why I was doing them. The NPCs could have been deeper. I would've liked to have deeper conversations with them... even after gaining all the influence and getting to the end of their convo trees, I still felt that I had questions. In KotOR, I felt that I KNEW everyone. And the ending just plain sucked beans... HUGE. I hate a game that just sets me up for another game.

Blow up the yaht? How do you do that??

Things that made me go "Hunh?"
Plooby replied to ladymurasaki's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Even when you are Dark Side in KotOR I you cant kill Carth, he just runs away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are a DS female in the first game, Carth will actually come back and try to save you after you kill Malak... it is a very touching scene. If you take him up on his offer, you kill Basti and then you die in each others arms on the Star Forge. I have never played a DS male Revan, so when he does his little coward dance and runs away, I take it he doesn't come back? -
AS a female you get Carth asking T3 the same thing. As far as aI can tell... Revan takes the Hawk when she/he goes in search of the "hole" in the force (after KotOR). Next we hear of the hawk, Kiera is on it and she is tracking you, finds your drugged body on the Republic ship and brings you to the Peragus Station. Now as far how it got from Revan to Keira... I haven't the faintest clue. Anyone?
