say it aint so, feargus
Plooby replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I read it, too... and I don't understand. Have there been complaints? I think we all understand that the devs can't post all the time here... and we appreciate when you do. As for the mods ... you have them and they are doing their jobs very well, IMHO. They are niether too controling nor too lax. I truly hope that you all don't make this decision without hearing what we who have built a cimmunity here have to say. -
For all the Carth/Atton lovers out there
Plooby replied to Eji's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Eji, darlin', you rock so hard! Sq-ueeeeeeeeee! The Carthilicous One has never looked delicious! Now... think you can do it with Bao Dur on the left instead of Atton. Maybe in his ever-so tight black t-shirt? -
Changed Endgame, Droid Planet Explanations
Plooby replied to Trom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sounds to me like someone is putting on a big old happy face... "Yes, we are so happy that we cut this wonderful planet that we worked hard on and was ultra cool! See how happy we are that we had to make the ending so OPEN... isn't that better than making it actually bigger and better and about something greater?! Strained? Does my smile look strained? Nah. I always smile like this. Tears? No these are tears of joy. Working with the wonderfully pateint LA just makes me so joyful... and happy!" (w00t) Look... OE kept all this great content on the game disks for a reason. They HAD to know we would find it. They HAd to know that it was way cool and they we would feel ripped off that we didn't get it. If they were really happy, happy about all of this, they would have taken it off of the finished disks. They are trying to tell us something... something that they can't SAY, but they want us to know. Message received, OE. -
His *voice* made you angry?! Doesn't take much, does it. "

Oooo... tingly! Just finished listening to the dialogs that were put up... thank you for doing that! I must admit that the Atton Death one looks better on paper. It just isn't as sad and squeeful with the actor doing it. He really is not Carth. BUT... the evil Atton killing Disciple is... *gets the shivers*... really, really good! (w00t)

Hi, Icey *waves* Ummm... Atton can be trained on Nar Shadda. As a female I alwyas do that planet second... after Dantooine so that I can pick up Disciple , who can be trained without even leaving the room you find him in. When you get to Nar Shadda, just take Atton with you and be nice to him and everyone else. He likes that. You gain inflience with T3 by being nice to him whenever you see him. I never took him out of the ship, but if you just pat him on the head and tell him that you are worried about him or that he has done a good job, he will be eating out of your hand in no time. GoTo and HK you influence by being nasty... and I think Mandelore is the same way. I just started me DS game, so I am just speculating with them. I never gained mush influence over any of them as a LS.

You know what you forgot to consider, Azure? You can always switch who is the lead character on those long runs when you start to feel squicky about staring at the rear-end of your PC that is the same sex that you are. I mean, really?! How many woman in KotORI stripped Carth down to his skivvies and had him run around in the lead in the dessert after you killed all the beasties and you just needed to get to the Sandpeople's camp?! *listens to the crickets chirp* You mean I was the only one?! :"> How embarassing. As long as I am already blushing... and way off topic... I think I got jipped her with Sith Lords... cause my man Bao Dur ( ) can't strip down to his undies! I mean, the guy had some massive pecs and I wanted to seeeeee. " We got to see even Jolee in the first one with his little sock holder-upper things! Why not the hotest guy in this one. *pouts*
-
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! All the PC people do love Bao Dur! For months I was the only one that did! It must just be the Xboxy people that couldn't see him for the stud he was! Yes! Oh, now I have to write that fanfic that has been swirling around in my head, where my female Exile ends up with the little horny devil!
-
LoL... you are an Iridonian?! With little spikey horns and eveyrthing? Do you wonder around in little overalls and tight t-shirts, too?! *swoons* I am happy to see that other people found Kriea's lack of "seeing" Bao Dur (neither his thoughts nor is futrue) to be intriguing. It is true that he has a long dry spell for talking, but if you look at it in the right light, you are his general... and he isn't going to just sit and chat with you over coffee. You are his superior officer and probably always will be. (But I love the idea of a man that needs to salute me in the morning! ) He was also, in my oppinion, the best Jedi support character. His skill levels made all of yours un-neccesary. WIthout armor he can cast all of the buffing "spells" that you need and he is fearless in combat... plus he comes with remote, who doesn't do a lot of damage, but is cute as a button! Not being able to wear the robes was a big probelm, but if you give him enough dex enhancers and he does just fine. If he is in KotOR III (please, please, please! ), I hope that the robes issue is one that they fix, becasue he looked really stupid in that miners suit.
-
ROFLMAO! Plooby bait?! Am I the only one who loved Bao Dur ... and is that the reason you have him as your avatar?! :D No.. he never talks about his family again. If you send him into the temple with the others (when you split up) he talks about how he feels differant, but, like the others, he never explains himself. I wonder if that was cut, too? If you think about it... he was the only one that Kriea could not sense and she doesn't tell you his future. Someone said that he might have died (BITE YOUR TONGUE! ), but I don't think that is it. I am hoping that we will see him in KotORIII. (*gets down on her knees and begs LA and whoever are the devs*) EDIT: Just read the above. *shrugs* Maybe he really does love only me! :D

I didn't... and just started my DS game. But I think I will play SMART DS, not thug DS. I wonder how DS I can be, without taking all the obviously thugish DS opportunites and just playing as an exiled Jedi, who feels that she has been cut-uoff from the force by the council and feels justified in ripping their heads off.

Ahhhh... choice. The downfall of society as we know it. " Just because Revan couldn't possibly be a woman in your mind, doesn't mean that you should deny others the right to make her a woman in theirs. What peopel do in the privacy of their own homes and all. And really... why should you care? No one is making you play it that way... unless you missed your cue from Atton before you let him out of his cell. Don't you hate it when dialog gets in the way of killing things? I don't understand where the statement that LA intended Revan to be male came from, though. Just look at the game and the ending (or lack there of)... if LA intended for Revan to be a male, there really wouldn't have been a choice. *starts singing... What LA wants, LA gets"
-
Ahhh... Bao Dur ( )! Yes, he can be a Jedi and since he already thinks the world of the Exile, it is rather easy. The robes/armor is a probelm. THe miner's suit is the best you can do if you want hik to use his Jedi powers.

It's About Time Somebody Said It!
Plooby replied to Dead Skin Mask's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well.. I am glad that someone is saying OUT LOUD what we have only been posting before. Sadly, I don't think LA really cares. So... how big a role to you think they will give JarJar in the next Star Wars movie? -
Wow, Obj... that is really a great conversation. Really sets them up for KotOR3, too. Now, why cut that?!

is this supposed to happen? - BIG SPOILER
Plooby replied to zeroFantasy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Can you say Force Wave? " I knew you could! -
Oh... darlin'! Those monsters are easy. Loot the bodies.

Knights of the Old Republic 2: Good or Bad?
Plooby replied to yodaman115's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
LoL... but it was very Star Wars... LS or DS. Remember the ending of the first one... New Hope? Big ceremony... medals... family picture? " -
Then I don't get it. I truly didn't mod my game and I played a redeemed DS female and I was not forced to kill Carth and I got all those squee-licious dialogs!

Knights of the Old Republic 2: Good or Bad?
Plooby replied to yodaman115's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ooooooooo... don't get me started! You can read my rants in that thread. (w00t) -
It wouldn't be funny... it would fantastic! For that ending alone, I would buy it in a NY minute.
-
Er... correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty the ending in which you die with Carth on the Star Forge was cut from the final game, and is only accessible using a mod. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are wrong. I didn't mod my game and I played that ending and it is beautifully written.
-
But they HAD an end... a very cool end. (Go look in the Spoliers section) I had come to terms with Sith Lords... made my peace. I was disappointed with my first playthrough. The second and third went much better and I was actually happy with the game. I understood that time was a factor and that some things (quests and polish) got cut for time. I liked the influence system and the cool new toys. I liked the NPCs, although they needed some polish as well. The romances were ... so-so... but I figured that was time related as well. I have an imagination... I can use it. But, now that this wonderful ending has shown up... and the fact that it was voiced and everything, tells me that some one canned it.... and that some one should in turn be canned. I am sorry. If the game had come out WITH THAT ENDING a lot of the moaning and complaing about glitchy or cut quests and bugs and lack of polish would have gone away. We would have been too stunned by the ending to even remember that we had had problems before that. Grrrrrrrr.
-
Sorry, Low, that doesn't wash. If you played DS female Revan, Carth is dead... period. Either you kill him and take over the world or you die with him on the Star Forge. And in that case, Revan is dead, too. Look... we all know that in these games people come back all the time. BGII was hillarious with all of the NPCs that made a cameo... "Aren't you dead?" was a very common and funny response when they showed up. I didn't mind seeing Carth again... or that fact they we talked about Revan who was dead in one of the three KotOR games I played. Grrrrrrr.

Damn it... I just read this all again and I am getting more and more angry here. Hey, Mods? Could you all point a Dev to this thread? Can we get an answer here on why this was cut? Time? Lucas Arts? Someone didn't want a great game and thought that just a good one would go over better? Wanted a lame open-ended game? Thanks, Mods.
