  1. No it's not. It's not just condemning homosexuality. From the video: As I said, I don't think comparing radical extremist Christians with moderate muslims at a peace conference in the video (if they are indeed moderate and at a peace conference) is a good argument.

  3. He was one of the fallout fanatics at the time that came to the board.
  4. The dude who tried to SJW after saying some ****ed up stuff on the RPGCodex? Yep, and the dude who was trying to take money for posts on Reddit. If i'm getting this straight, Cheong who was notorious on the SA forums was also within the Codex? I remember him from the BIS days.
  5. I liked John Carter and thought it was a good movie. Haven't seen Lone Ranger yet.

  7. Went to the theatre in Hangzhou tonight where we watched the Night Of West Lake show. Totally amazing. Packed theatre and our group had the two front rows. I managed to get pretty much all the show on video camera. My partner and I was also part of it where some of the actors came off stage in the middle of a segment where they offered eight members of the audience tea which was part of the show.
  8. I remember watching an interview of him a few years back and how he was suffering from depression and how he's thought of ending it. Might have been a 60 minutes interview. Damn shame.
  9. DS9 can be a bit hard to get through with the first three seasons. I found it to be absolute torture wading through the filler episodes to get the small nuggets of information about the main story and the character backgrounds. Once you get to the 4th season, it's great and you'll quickly forget about the first three seasons. I know I have and have never watched the first 3 seasons again. On the other hand, the first two seasons of Voyager were terrible with the Kazon (poor man's Klingon). My pick would be DS9 only because Season 4-7 is mostly pure awesome.
  10. Captain America Winter Soldier (2014) Really enjoyed this. A character I didn't really take an interest in seems to be one of my favourite Marvel movies. Quite predictable with Nick Fury and Robert Redford's characters though. But still enjoyed it. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) meh. I think I'm burned out with seeing so many Spider-man movies. Five movies in around 10 years is just too excessive for me. It felt like the movie didn't know what it wanted to be. Didn't like the Rhino at the end. Preferred the original Rhino in the comics. Divergent (2014) You could see the whole plot of the movie in the first five minutes. Fairly predictable. I don't know, it felt like a really bad Hunger Games movie or something like that. Dystopia movie with people in different factions. Also, been watching quite a few sci-fi / horror movies including a few B grade movies mixed in. Europa Report (2013) This was alright. Liked the ending but some of the stupid mistakes they did. A lot of forehead slapping, really silly mistakes. But still enjoyed it. The Rig (2010) An oil rig drills into bottom of sea bed and alien creatures come up and attack the oil rig workers. Pretty bad but still enjoyed it. Stranded (2013) Five people on a moon base and something comes onto the moon base during an asteroid storm. Christian Slater seems to be enjoying himself and quite funny to see a lot of the props, including the doors and walls made out of plastic move on the set. When an actor leans against a wall, you can see the wall bend even though it's supposed to be metal. And even more hilarious was the obvious scale models of the moon base getting hit with asteroids. It looked like something out of an Irwin Allen movie. Also, this was directed by the guy who did Battlefield Earth so it was fairly dodgy overall. The Time Machine (1960) What an enjoyment this was having not seen it for so many years. Great ending with taking three books with him.
  11. I did. If you don't like the video, why not rebut the points you disagree in the video? Did you even watch the first couple of minutes? Or did you just look at the 56:58 time on the video and that was one of your reasons to dismiss it? Not saying I agree or disagree with the video. I at least watched it to see what it was about. After the first couple of minutes, I was hooked and it was pretty interesting.
  12. Yeah, looks great. I'll be there in about three weeks time.
  13. Never stops other movie trailers. But seriously, there was very little back story in the original Mad Max 2 because you had the first movie with the back story. So I wonder how much will be in this movie.
  14. She's standing on a concrete slab as you can see the rebar sticking out. Maybe a building fell down and she's left standing?
  15. Since Miller has confirmed this is a re-boot and nothing to do with the original movies, I have to wonder how much back story is in this prior to the interceptor being written off in the trailer. I wonder how much of a back story we'll get if any. I do hope there is way more substance then what the clip shows, if that's all it is then it looks like a demolition derby so while I like the trailer I certainly hope there is more to it then just crap blowing up & flying through the air.
  16. Expendables 3. Similar to the other two. Some actors have too short a screen time though. And Harrison Ford is looking really old now. Can't wait to see him in Star Wars 7 and how he's going to look like as Han Solo. Video Games: The Movie. Disappointing they focused mostly on consoles and seem to not mention anything about computers. They didn't mention anything about computers like the C64, Amiga, Atari ST and very little on PCs. When they went from the Atari 2600 to NES to SNES, I was like hang on, what happened to one of the most popular games computers in the 80s being the C64? And no mention of the Amiga. Felt really incomplete.
  17. It's an interesting study isn't it WoD. And the CSIRO is quite the source for Climate activists, at least in Australia.
  18. What better way to learn all about this stuff than in a school?
  19. Yep, I've watched Threshold and enjoyed it. Also have Odyssey 5 put aside to watch. Will watch it next.
  20. Black Sails Quite an interesting series set 20 years before the events of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Great show and loved the season finale and can't wait for Season 2. Dead Set Been meaning to watch this for ages and damn this was good. Loved the producer in the show. He was a crack up. Defying Gravity This is on a lot of top sci-fi show lists as well as shows that were cancelled early. The special effects was awesome for a TV show and what a great story. I knew going into this that I was going to be disappointed with a cliffhanger ending but the entire show was well worth it. Could have seen this going for around 5 seasons. Shame it got cancelled after the first season. Les Revenants (the Returned). French TV show of people coming back to life to a small town. The little boy comes across as creepy. Really atmospheric and can't wait for Season 2 to hit this year. I did watch the French film Les Revenants this TV shows is based on. Enjoyed the movie. A very good departure from the film so no idea what to expect in the TV series. Resurrection This is a similar show to les Revenants but from a different author. Very similar to the French version in story but the little boy is all cute, not scary at all. Very PG family rated and not as atmospheric as the French version. The story doesn't make as much sense as the French version (due to different source material and authors) and totally different finale. I prefer the French version due to the creepiness and story being more consistent. It appears the French version may get remade for American audiences as 'The Returned' but doesn't make much sense as people will probably think it's a rip off of Resurrection. Metal Hurlant Chronicles Finished Season 2 and enjoyed this series. Similar to the Twilight Zone with a twist at the end of every episode. Preferred Season 1 but Season 2 was still good. Teen Wolf Seasons 1 - 3. Have a couple of (female) friends saying I need to watch this and been bugging me for ages. So I watched the entire 3 seasons over a week. The coach is a crack up. Yeah, not a bad show and enjoyed how the story has progressed. There's usually a big bad every season and it's good how they mix the folklore into it.
