Spent half an hour working/updating my tax return spreadsheets tonight. Been putting it off for months (should have been done back in July) and need to pull my finger out and get this done. Got bored and started watching Person of Interest.

Gotham's been brilliant and every episode has been great including the latest episode. Caught up with all the episodes with The Flash and so many comic book references as well. A comic book nerd's dream come true. The only DC show that hasn't been up to scratch is Constantine which is a shame.

Predestination. Another great movie I just watched. Seem to be on a roll with watching great movies of late. I'd give it at least an 8/10.

Interstellar. Loved it. 9/10.

I haven't read the new 52 version. In fact I haven't read any new DC comics since they rebooted it. I'll always read and go back to reading everything before the new 52 reboot. The original Hellblazer comic was one of my favourites. I'd consider Garth Ennis' main run on Hellblazer (issues 41-83) to be one of the best runs I've read and one of the comics that was a must read for me at the time. During that run was also the idea of where Ennis' Preacher comic came from. The TV show isn't bad imo. It's a closer representation of the character than that god awful movie but there could be some definite improvement to the show. It feels like it's nearly there but not quite.

Started watching Gotham and really enjoying it. Like all the comic book references. Surprised how much the little actress for Selina Kyle (Catwoman) looks so much like Michelle Pfeiffer.

Perhaps he means tax minimisation. I know I'd be trying to minimise my tax as much as I can.

I was going to leave it until next year when the whole season came out but decided to watch The Walking Dead. I'm really enjoying this season. A lot better than the previous three imo. The new place is quite intriguing and good to see one of the characters come back.

I noticed in that story it says: virologists believe that Ebola is spread when people come in contact with the virus-laden bodily fluids of those who are already sick and then touch their eyes, nose or mouth, allowing the virus to pass through mucous membranes and enter the bloodstream. My concern is can it be transmitted through your ears?

Huh? Ban guns? Where did that come from? That's a flawed analogy. Oh, so you just talk with them and ask if they were serious or not. Someone makes death threats on the internet. They're asked if they were serious? Oh no! that person replies. A few days later there's a killing. Yep, that'll work. And the neighbours say, that person was such a nice person. Always so nice and didn't make any trouble.

Sounds like you're describing yourself Bruce with having this strange filter of yours that you come up with and things you describe with people. It's okay, I know you can only resort to this type of debating. And in the other thread you said you were against the goals of GG with honesty and integrity. As I said in the other thread, you will always lose debating against someone who want's honesty and integrity in organisations. Also, I'm no friend of yours Bruce. Never have and never will. I would never be a friend to someone who's openly dishonest as you are. So lets just leave it at that and get back on the topic of the thread.

Journalism and sexism in the games industry

I agree. It won't die out. It's just different opinions and factions. Some identify with one prominent person while others will identify with another prominent person and disagree with the former. -
That's not what I said and you know it Bruce. But I've noticed you are against honesty and integrity in the gaming media with one of the goals of GG and it appears you're not being honest here as well. It's what I expect from you. And an internet forum amongst the millions of internet forums on the internet is not the same as real life. Maybe that's one of your problems with not being able to tell the difference from one to the other. And do I really care about not being liked on some internet forum? No, I don't. Do I care about real life like at work and social functions? Yes of course. Because a forum is something I can leave and never return and it doesn't affect my real life one single bit. I think it's quite sad that you can't leave some gaming forum on the internet and you're always wanting attention and to be liked. In real life, that comes across as weird. Seriously, can you imagine someone saying in real life, 'Oh hey, there's Bruce and he wants to be liked on this gaming forum that you probably have never heard of and he tries his best to be liked by random people'. Yeah, real life is important to me. Random internet forums and wanting to be liked by random strangers aren't. So please, you can drop the dishonesty, the slimy debating tactics. It's all BS and you know it too. So lets get back on topic.
-
It is BS that you're lumping everyone as the same with talking about forums. You can't say everyone is like you, wanting to be liked by others on forums, creating threads about your life or anything else. That shows more about you than anyone else. I'm the same in that I don't care if I'm liked or not on these forums. I don't have a want to be liked. I'll post whatever I feel like posting. I go to many forums and the Obsidian forums is just another one where I post. Much like the other forums I post at or used to post at. Doesn't concern in me in the slightest to wanting to be liked on all those forums.

Hang on. The public shaming? Terminating a contract is overkill? Firstly, how did this come all about? How did the public become aware of it? Was it Steam that went to social media to publicly shame this guy? Or was it the guy making such a big deal out of this on social media and continuing to make a big deal on social media that he publicly shamed himself? Terminating it was the best thing Steam could do.
-
Is that directed at me? a) I see no reason to sign it. b) If that other dev wants to distance himself from this, then maybe it's best to start all over. The name of the company will be tainted with Steam. Starting over with a new company and new image would help this imo. c) and the game does look like crap. You seriously like this and want to play it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzaM7aS1n54

Seeing the 24:59 time on that video, there's no way I'm spending that amount of time watching some screeching banshee. The last video with her was bad enough. -

There's always Brenda Ann Spencer. It's interesting to see so many people who listen and don't know what the song 'I don't like Mondays' is all about. -

Much like your posts in the Pillars forum where someone pointed this out to you? I suggest having a cup of positive every morning. It might make you feel better. -
Drama and games journalism, soggy leg joint edition

I'm not here to convince you. That's for you to do yourself. I do find it funny that you're against GG's goals of having honesty and integrity within organisations like the gaming media. I never knew you were against such worthy goals like honesty and integrity. -
