  1. The 7 forms are crap. Nick Gillard himself said so.
  2. Yeah, you'll find a note on Korriban from him, telling you he went shopping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What was he going to buy?
  3. Watch what you say! You would be pissed too if a game like KotOR 2 was promised to come out simultaneously between PC and XBOX, but all of a sudden they decided to release it for PC 3 months before XBOX. Then it would be you doing the supposed whining.
  4. Totally agree, Master Flurry + Master Speed = you could beat him without going around killing those trapped jedi. And the Tarisian gov was easy as long as u get his shield down. The one I always had a hard time with was Davik and Starkiller those guys where fairly hard.
  5. Enough Talk about Delays. All the internet adds say Feb 8, 2005, so guess when it will be coming out? I dont think they would advertise it for a certain date and then change it.
  6. Woohoo! I am glad that this has gone this far lets keep it up! There are 2 force powers I want to see: Telekinesis: U see jedi do this in the movies alot, I just want the ability to pick objects up off the ground and throw it at my enemy! Force Destruction: similar to Telekinesis but this would be described as when Dooku ripped objects off the wall and sent them at Yoda, as well as Breaking the roof right over yoda's head! These could be separated or they could be the same.
  7. Yeah something like that, just if you can remeber, it got all pissed off when han shot it which is similar to the thing Cand talked bout which got pissed when the mandalorians shot at it.
  8. I know but the thing sounded like it was one of those creatures han landed in, in Ep5....though it could be vong.
  9. Question: What will be the actually difference between the XBOX and PC versions? (other than better graphics/performance due to superior hardware) edit: and of coarse the interface/controls.
  10. First, NO VONG. Nothing against u I just hate the Vong, worst idea in star wars although the stories where....interesting, they still messed up the Star Wars Universe. And I believe the asteroid that they where refering to had to do with something similar to the thing Han Solo landed on in Episode 5. And actually what happened is explained in the book Rouge Planet. Which takes place alittle after Episode I, That explains it but I can tell you that the Yuuzhan Vong aren't the real sith because the sith dont come from another galaxy.
  11. Dooku, Sidious and Yoda were all of the counsular type. It would only make sense they would use a single blade, so their "force powers" could be focused on more. Maul would fall in the "maurader" wouldn't he? Double bladed. Anakin uses two blades at the end of ep 2, and also during his fight with Obi in ep 3. But you can see the limits of a single blade when Anakin fights Dooku... Here you have a padawan, going against a sith lord former jedi master, and he puts up a good fight when he duel wields, actually putting Dooku on the defensive for a moment. Maul was able to fight a jedi master and a padawan with his double blade, killed the master once he got to solo combat, and then go punked when his saber got busted. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Firstly, I wouldn't define Dooku, Sidious, or Yoda in those classes, according to Lucas, on a scale of 1-10 in lightsaber skill Sidious and Yoda are 9s as well as Anakin in EpIII. Next, Anakin isn't going to use two weapons in EpIII except when he that is it...Dont know who told u he would use two in the obi fight but it has been stated time and again by EpIII Crew memebers that Anakin wont be using 2 sabers this time around. Finally, why cant single saber, duel wielding, and double bladed be equal? Obi Wan prooved thata single could beat a double bladed in EpI and Dooku prooved a single could beat duel lightsabers thus I see no reason why a single, duel lightsabers, and a double bladed cant all be equal...they each seem to have their own advantages and disadvantages. Primary source is from StarWars.com
  12. But in the movies the single doesn't seem limited...there has to be some reason Dooku, Anakin, Sidious, Yoda chose the single blade....I think that, yes, the double and duel lightsabers may possibly do more damage but single should make up for it in defense and other things...and those that are saberist should have to give up on the single cause in the movies it always seems like the superior choice.
  13. Argh! why does everyone insist on a delay to the PC version, they can release it as planned and the just come out with a patch that fixes everything without us having to wait.
  14. I thought they said System Reqs where same as KotOR I???
  15. Yep, I hate XBOX getting everything first and now, alot of the game series' I love are becoming XBOX only when they where released on PC first!!! Ex: Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon......how could they not make a Ghost Recon 2 for PC I loved that game.
  16. Ok well I finally got a hold of a list of feats for KotOR II and all seemed good untill I came upon the special feats for Marauders and Weapon Masters. Some of the combat feats for KotOR II are similar to those in KotOR I like Dueling, Duel Wielding, and Lightsaber Specialization. However, once we get into the prestige class feats we find that it makes duel wielding better than using one weapon. It does this by having superior duel wielding feats but no superior dueling feats....how can this be??? This kinda forces those Guardian/Weapon Masters that what just a classic single bladed lightsaber (like myself) to have to get a double-bladed or wield two sabers just so they can make their character be up to par with the rest...this dissapoints me very much. Can someone explain this to mean....hopefully a developer.
  17. Technically I think all styles (single, double, duel) should all be fairly hard to master, but in the end they should all be equal seeing as they all have distinct advantages/disadvantages that make them so. However, I do like the idea of adding in new feats for double bladed(staff) weaponry as it makes more sense seeing as a staff isn't two weapons being wielded at once.
  18. I wouldn't believe any of the crap that comes out of that magazine, there have been many instances where the stuff they put in that magazine was just made up on the spot. Example: In one issue of the insider the main article was about the seven forms of lightsaber combat shown in the movies which alone make no sense when compaired to movies and even other EU sources but furthermore the man who invented the lightsaber combat that the forms where modelled after (Nick Gillard) was never, ever, consulted about it (Confirmed by someone that works with him on Star Wars.com forums), thus making it a complete waste of paper and words (poor trees). Furthermore, there are always discrepancies and contradictions among most EU stuff so your best bet is to believe the one thing from which all EU stuff comes from: the movies. Otherwise just believe what you want, probably the next credible source after the movies would be Star Wars.com but don't quote me on that.
  19. Interesting idea about the starting out as a Sith....sounds cool, but as for the one before it: it wouldn't work because of the difference in the class/feat/power structure in KotOR I & II, Revan and the Exile would not be equal.
  20. Ever played Final Fantasy VIII? That pretty much had two main characters in it, why not just do it that way?? The two characters, of coarse, would be the Exile and Revan...makes sense considering they where your characters and they dont want to stomp all over your decisions (that much). However, developement for a game like that would take at least 2 years
  21. Darn it, looks like I must bum a ride off a friend to get me a copy....oh well.
  22. Totally agree, pisses me off when that doesn't happen, though in KotOR I they did an alright job. KotOR I had something similar, atleast with certain enemies. As a modder I have looked extensively into the files that allow this and I must say it takes a huge amount of time to specify what items you want where, Bioware probably had five guys doing this for months on end. I perfer a compromise of sorts, have important items placed on specific characters and then have the rest be random, not the most ideal way to do it but it works alright without pissing too many peeps off.
