  1. My thanks to you Hell Kitty. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
  2. I for one hope that the pre-order bonuses eventually become DLC. I wouldn't mind spendin some MS Points for the two weapon packs.
  3. As far as I can tell the links are working. Try going here. The pics will be under Sega Games/Alpha Protocol/Pre-Order Images. If that doesn't work then there must be somethin wrong with your system.
  4. Finally found the images for the weapon packs: Gamecrazy Stealth Pack Hamilton Marksman (based off a S&W M&P) Rittergroupen Rapier - Permanently Silenced Pistol, silenced without need for silencer (based off a Glock 17) Samael Typhoon (based off an Uzi) UC Purgatory (based off an AK-74SU) Gamestop Assault Pack UC Regulator Hamilton Howitzer Rittergroupen Grizzly (based off a G36C) Samael Retribution (based off a SCAR-L [i think]) Still haven't heard anything about the possibility of these packs eventually becoming DLC. However, I would definitely spend money to get these weapon packs as DLC.
  5. Nice stuff, love 2 know how u do it Hell Kitty. Or...if you're not busy... or
  6. I personally find it appalling that developers would use such ploys to get us to pre-order games. However, I do know a thing or two about business, and pre-order bonuses are a very good business idea. Still, I find that I cannot choose between the two packs. You see I'm no big fan of shotguns so I know I'll never use those bonus items. Also, due to the fact that the smgs seem like they can only be duel wielded I fail to see any use for the SMG bonus items. So for each pack there is something that I just do not wish to use. Now if they made a bonus pack with the pistol and assault rifle bonuses together instead of what they have now I would pre-order immediately. Anyway I have two questions. If I go with one of the packs will I be able to get the other at a later date on Xbox Live? I have no problem spending 400 Microsoft points on some bonus weapons. Plus, it doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't do this if it meant they could make some extra cash. Can anyone post the images of the bonus items? IGN's site said they had them but I couldn't find the images anywhere. Plus, gamecrazy's website seemed to be missing some images.
  7. In previous AP videos invulnerability was turned on. Its possible that it was the same for this demo.
  8. Yeah, the game didn't seem to be that smooth in the trailer. Not sure why but there definitely needs to be some polishing done on that. The SMGs...well I could bash them but seeing as I wont be wasting my time with them anyway we'll just leave it at that. Definitely many clipping issues from the look of it but I do like how u can crouch run (a la gears of war). Even though the gameplay left something to be desired I do approve of the faster paced style of action that Obsidian is going for. Plenty of time till October so I expect that the gameplay could only get better at this point. Take your time Obsidian, you only have one chance to get this right.
  9. By the sounds of it, there is a cap of 10 points for non specialization skills and 15 for specialization (if I understood the article correctly). I meant how many we can get overall throughout the game, not how many per skill group.
  10. Maybe they are fully(SMG) automatic revolvers... Anyway, the Rage skill sounds interesting but if you can specialize in three different areas then what are the best martial arts skills I wonder...maybe a good chance to add disarms in the game Obsidian. On another note: Does anyone happen to know how many skill points you can get in the game? or even if there is a cap?
  11. Sounds like professional, aggressive and suave to me. Quite possible that, that is what was meant.
  12. I believe in one of the dev diaries it was explained that players get to choose MT's motivations (patriotism, vengeance, and thrill seeking being the examples used in the video). After this discussion, plain ole' vengeance sounds more interesting than saving the world....ooo maybe there will be a critical moment where we get to choose personal vengeance over saving the world....I totally want to play this game now.
  13. I can definitely see where your coming from but because its more of a trailer I can understand why CG was used. I mean they want you to feel like you can be the main character in a spy movie. With that in mind CG is definitely the way to to make that happen.
  14. I still prefer equal opportunity and free market to government regulation. All governments are corrupt to some extent. Putting the government in charge of the economy just means the people with money enough to bribe those in charge of regulation are the ones who actually control the economy. In a capitalist system, where corruption in rampant, if you have a good enough product to sell then you can overcome the corruption because it's the consumers who decide the economy's fate.
  15. I agree, neo-colonialism is not the secret key. Nor is socialism, communism, and any other political structure. That being said, communism can only work if a society truly believes in social equality. However, social equality is impossible to achieve because it goes against our nature to seize power. At least capitalism promotes equal opportunity. In communist russia, the only opportunity you had was the opportunity the government gave you.
  16. You will have several options per scenario, whether the options will be that cool we have yet to see. However, the devs did say that "Your weapon is choice."
  17. Wait a minute how can you people even compare Kiss of the Dragon to Taken? Taken had such a better production quality to it and comparing it to KotD is like comparing a C movie to a B+ movie. I like Jet Lee but Kiss of the Dragon seemed like a much more shallow story than Taken. Plus, I much preferred Taken's extensively brutal take on combat compared to the overly flashy and showoffy form in KotD. Not to mention the fact that Taken kept u on the edge of your seat most of the time while KotD kept you begging for more action during the boring parts. Kiss of the Dragon as a better movie than Taken? What have you been smoking to cause such delirium?
  18. OK if I can actually or then I am totally gonna buy this game. Wouldn't mind taking a different approach like . Great trailer! Can't wait for E3!
  19. There are suppose to be 4 to 6 women you can interact with, specifically as a love interest. Who knows how many of the bad guys are women... So far my interest for the commando babe and the nerdy tech girl are less than enthusiastic so looking forward to seeing those we haven't been introduced to.
  20. Not true, if you wanna accomplish certain goals that can only be completed by going to multiple locals (and you want to complete those goals first) then its important to be able to move from hub to hub at will. Then again, I personally never went to another planet until I was done with the one I'm on. (unless I had to for a character specific side quest)
  21. Yeah, "A Murder of Crows," loved that level. Would be pretty cool if you could do that. Hey, big crowds means its easy for someone to miss the knife coming up from behind them. Not to mention the gun casually hidden from view behind your leg but still ready to use at a moments notice. Add in a chase scene and you've got my vote.
  22. The only other games I know of that let you choose which country you want to help in a given situation are the Mercenaries games. That being said, I'm not sure if AP will let you actually help individual countries escape the capitalist oppression of sex, drugs, and rock & roll. However, it seems to me that you want MT to have the ability to defect to whatever country he wants but if that were so I doubt that he would be able to operate under "Alpha Protocol." Of coarse, more information is needed.
  23. Well you can at least be relieved to know that one of the dev diaries has shown that your dialog options affect your status with certain factions. Furthermore, your status with certain factions can in turn affect how you complete missions as well as their outcomes.
  24. Well stupid ideas are unavoidable when looking at the spy genre. I'm surprised no one has asked for Austin Powers to make a cameo in the game, maybe have a hairless cat at the safe house, or perhaps a boss fight with a bald midget. If James Bond can get away with hat throwing as an actual danger to be avoided then pretty much anything seems rational.
