  1. Someone wrote a decompiler for NWScript. I don't know if it would work on Odyssey scripts.
  2. It would be a bit misleading. Only Force Sensitive people can see the glow.
  3. Huh? That might be true for the workbench on board the Hawk, but the others depend on which character you activate it with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Builds, yes. Not breakdowns. Bao-Dur gets the same breakdown values that my PC does.
  4. The main use for the airspeeder is to gain Influence.
  5. I wouldn't mind seeing people tone it down a bit. This isn't the same kind of disaster that ToEE was, not at all. But Obsidian made a bunch of huge mistakes, and they deserve to be called on it.
  6. Force Immunity is the advanced form of Force Resistance. You can get away without this if you're a Sentinel or have immunities from items. Treya sometimes chains a bunch of disabling attacks, and at a very high DC, as a Consular should. Blow a save and you're toast. Force Enlightenment is something you'll pick up on the LS path before the endgame. It lets you activate your buffs with one action.
  7. Well, if that is the question, then you're right. Better execution generally trumps other considerations. But the quality of execution and the complexity don't really have anything to do with each other. If they had planned a simpler storyline from the start, they would have budgeted less design time too. There's no reason to think that it would have changed the way things worked out.
  8. LS is simple too. Just keep up your Force Immunity and melee her to death with all your buffs active from Force Enlightenment.
  9. I'm going to have to slightly disagree. There's no evidence that there was every any real motivation to the "find the Jedi" quest -- the cut material is stuff that happens after that. But yes, there was a sense in the KorOR 2 campaign that you're more or less the Force's plaything, as opposed to K1 where you feel more in charge of your own destiny..
  10. I don't recall any point in KotOR 2 where you have to be trying to save the Republic. You have to be trying to save yourself, but that's not the same thing. OK, this is just silly. "Putting in this option" would mean designing two different engines.
  11. I think you could blow through the critical path fairly quickly if you knew what you are doing. No sidequests, no non-mandatory convos, etc.
  12. I've had something like this happen, though as far as I know my character uses the attack I selected, just on the wrong target.
  13. Vandar can die if you go DS in KotOR 1.
  14. No, 98. I was mostly posting for Kurotowa's benefit, since we seem to be in the same boat. I guess it's about time XP did something better than 98.
  15. Probably a side-effect of the low difficulty. You don't really need all the stuff you can build with the workbench and a ton of parts. Also, breakdown doesn't work too well if your PC doesn't have a lot of Repair skill. The workbench uses your PC's skill, not the skill of an NPC using it. An idiotic bug IMO.
  16. I played with Revan as a DS male and Carth didn't show. I guess he never got off the Rakatan world. Well, you could be forced into killing her with bad dialogue choices. The good ones weren't totally obvious. But I agree that it's easier to assume she lived. Well, maybe they survive. Any or all of them could have died in the crash or when the planet blew.
  17. Dantooine is best for a powerful lightsaber, Nar Shadaa is best for companions and Influence. I like Nar Shadaa better because you'll get the lightsaber eventually anyway, but if you miss the Influence opportunities they don't come around again.
  18. I'd say you actually can have an apprentice or two. Or three, or four.....
  19. Oh.... right. Of course. I was confused because he steps out of where you find HK-47. Maybe HK-50 broke HK-47?
  20. He's intact in the Prologue, but busted when you get to the Hawk. What happened?
  21. Most of these are unanswerable --- see the thread about the cut ending You can find him on the Ravager. Wait for KotOR 3? I'm guessing this was at Revan's orders, and T3 himself doesn't know, having purged that memory. Kreia suggests you're going to the Unknown Regions, like Revan. Cut. This was explained by T3, Kreia, and HK-50. The PC doesn't own the Hawk. After Revan got in trouble, T3 came back in the Hawk to find help (don't ask me when Kreia showed up). They showed up right when HK-50 was trying to kidnap the PC from the Harbinger.
  22. That would be a lot more believable if there was a trace of such a conversation in the dialog.tlk. Here's what Kreia says:
  23. Mihail, some of the backgrounds you want are in the game. You just didn't have enough Influence to learn them. Mandalore, Hanharr, Mira, Bao-Dur,
  24. I'd just go ahead and play it. CTDs aren't so bad unless you're not saving.
  25. The weird thing is that the 82865G ran KotOR 1 just fine. Some folks have reported getting KotoR 2 to run on a 82865G, but you have to use a borrowed save to start -- you can't get past the initial cutscenes. I was never able to get it to work myself.
