  1. The cut dialog makes it plain that HK-50's can't harm HK-47 either.
  2. I think you need to get a couple of influence points beyond what you get from shipboard dialogs. So you shouldn't do Nar Shaddaa last.
  3. Or tell HK-47 to do it. After all, he enjoys that sort of thing.
  4. Only if the speaker has only made one statement, ever. Otherwise, you have to check the other statements he's made
  5. Why should he be different in Ep 3 than in Ep. 6? That's what he's really like.
  6. Anyone remember the old Infocom game "Spellbreaker"? to save humanity you destroy magic itself.
  7. Well, a LSer can always just spam Force Wave until everything dies. You should have enough FP for it. And consulars aren't all that bad in melee unless you're playing with a balance mod that puts their BAB to where it should be -- Obsidian gave all classes equal BAB (bad idea, but in this instance it helps). Provided you took melee powers and feats, of course. Korriban's a bit difficult, since there's that section where you can't regenerate FP. I got through via melee with my consular/Watchman, but I had to expend a fair amount of shields and medpacks to do it.
  8. Yes, but you're bringing in extra information. We don't know if the speaker has always lied on the strength of the single statement given. Leaving aside what is and isn't a paradox, the reason "I always lie" is different from the others is that it isn't completely self-referential.
  9. If you want to go way back, how about the Starflight games?
  10. Nonsense. Continuity is whatever LA says it is. They can change it at will. Yes, it is more of a Republic Civil War. But Jedi Civil War nicely encapsulates what the war was about.
  11. Of course, if you go to Nar Shaddaa first, you're not likely to have stuff like that in inventory.
  12. If you rescue him, he berates you for acting rashly. If you don't rescue him, he tries to kill you. Whether I'm LS or DS, I'm not sorry about killing this guy.
  13. I disagree about ranged combat. With good upgrade components and the Precise Shot line of feats you can do just as much damage as lightsabers.
  14. If you're getting them so late in the game, you're doing planets in the wrong order. I like Mira as a ranged combatant, even as a Jedi. Give her the blaster-deflecting Force power and her AC is unimportant.
  15. Or this is a continuity change, and what you thought you knew about the Great Hyperspace War turns out to have been incorrect. Hey, didn't you just finish telling me that there wasn't any Sith Empire as a distinct political entity in this period? If the bulk of the participants were Republic citizens, then the war, by definition, is a civil war.
  16. Did Lucas say why he doesn't want Wookie or Hutt Jedi? Seems kind of arbitrary.
  17. The sad thing is, Kreia's not going to win. Isn't Anakin Skywalker the ultimate Force puppet?
  18. No, but the Force does seem to cause an awful lot of treason and betrayal. In the real world we don't have U.S. Army officers signing up with al-Qaeda, but the equivalent happens all the time with Jedi knights.
  19. OK, I'm being a little facetious. But doesn't she have a point? Wouldn't the ordinary people of the galaxy be better off without all these Force users running around?
  20. No, that's HK-50, and he isn't blasted to bits.
  21. Who says Kreia's evil? She's just trying to get you to do the right thing and destroy the Force forever (still not sure how that's supposed to work, though) As for the plots of the two games, I like them about the same -- a sequel should be less straightforward than the original
  22. The thing is, it's obviously difficult to know that the information the NPCs have isn't all that important when you haven't heard it, and when the main plotline ends up with an unresolved feeling. It sets up the illusion that you're missing something important. It wouldn't have felt like that in KotOR 1, where you pretty much get everything completely settled. And being able to turn the companions into Jedi is a pretty powerful incentive to metagame; in retrospect, that might not have been the best way to handle the Jedi training.
  23. No, HK says no such thing in KotOR 1. He specifically says that he was created right after Revan and Malak began their war to conquer the galaxy. His first target was in Mandalorian space, but that doesn't mean that the assassination had anything to do with the Mandalorian War.
  24. But yes, he's got a whole fleet.
  25. I have. I always read Dan Simpson's FAQs. But it looks like Dan missed the LS influence chance with Lootra -- you should send it in. I really don't understand the Kreia effect for random murders; then again, I haven't seen it in actions, since I haven't played DS yet.
