we never commented on the law aspect o' this 'cause, as we always caution, what you don't know has an excellent chance o' making you look like an idjit if you start drawing conclusions based on what you believe to be true. you folks is no doubt bored o' our repetition on this point, but am gonna once again observe how is always best to wait for facts to come out which may be relevant. however, if a seventeen-year-old illegal acquires a lethal weapon and crosses state lines with the implied (and expressed) intent o' confronting protesters, some o' whom he had to have known could also be armed with lethal weapons, is anybody shocked when the news related to such a story is gonna involve bloodshed? call accident or tragedy ignores how utter predictable is calamity when you add firearms, multiple angry people and a large dose o' stupid. for chrissakes, even @Guard Dog wasn't defending the common sense and reasonableness o' kyle rittenhouse. were never any facts which were gonna come to light which somehow dispelled the recklessness o' kyle rittenhouse. were no facts which revealed were gonna make us more sympathetic save possible discovering kyle were severe mental/emotional impaired and responsible adults encouraged his behaviour as 'posed to discouraged, but that were never the narrative. doesn't matter if the would-be vigilante is guilty or innocent as a matter o' law. the kid is an a-hole who displayed worst possible judgement. is another observation we make frequent regarding people confusing legal with concepts such as moral, justice or right. legal exoneration is not transformative. a bad person does not sudden become admirable 'cause o' an acquittal. less common but still possible is for the moral and right choice to lead to legal punishment. too many people is invested in court verdicts as if such is some kinda barometer o' rightness. bad cop going to prison proves he were bad? if kyle goes free it proves the libs were wrong 'bout the unnecessary dangers o' armed civilian militias confronting protesters? we were never interested in this case 'cause it didn't matter to us. we didn't need for kyle to go to prison as if such would be vindication o' protests. samewise we don't fear acquittal will make mr. rittenhouse less... douchey. seeing as how there is no particular unique or compelling question o' law involved in the case, am current disinterested save for our general disquiet regarding how a derpy punk could become symbolic or emblematic o' a political movement. should who has control o' Congress matter? if were a tornado that hit the Capitol on January 6 and hundreds o' police officers and civilians were injured, some serious, there would be investigations. nevertheless, 'cause is deemed political and potential embarrassing to one party, the fate o' investigations dependent on a small number o' votes in a handful o' states? more remote but still concerning, why should criminal investigations stop for trump if he gets reelected? is nothing actual in the Constitution which says such, but from a practical pov, is not deemed advisable to have a criminal trial o' a sitting President. so trump gets away with anything and everything based on the votes o' the electorate? potential a few thousand votes in a couple states decides guilt or innocence? is exact what the founders were trying to avoid when they s-canned athenian democracy as the model for the Constitution. your question is irrelevant to our observation, or it should be. edit: this has so not been a they are all the same scenario. for those unaware, trump keeps losing court cases, the latest o' which is dealing with the extent to which o' a President no longer in office may exercise executive privilege. ouchie. HA! Good Fun! ps am thinking is likely trump never thought he would win this or other cases, particular with the d-list attorneys he has representing him at the moment. this is all 'bout delay. IF trump is able to stretch out the process long enough for republicans to take back control o' Congress, then is a functional win for trump even if he loses every case. -
well that must be miserable for her-- sick and alone in an er. hopefully she didn't need wait for some nightmarish stretch of time, but that is almost unavoidable. no doubt as bad as you feel you wish you could be with her, but please know your wife has our sincere sympathy and our best wishes. you also need to get better so you can take care of your son and once she comes home, your wife. as such am much wishing you well and am hoping for a speedy recovery for you and yours. regardless, take care, and try not to feel guilty about getting rest and taking care of your self.

there aren't a myriad o' good reasons. there is a small list o' valid concerns, but the numbers o' reasons is extreme limited and 'course for those folks am complete understanding the concerns. however, for the folks who cannot get the vaccine or who have valid reasons for abstaining from the vaccine, chances are they is avoiding unnecessary social contact o' their own volition, and if they aren't, then chances are the "abject stoopid" label is once again applicable. is also people who is just plain afraid o' the vaccine. am actual fine with that situation. the thing is, if those afraid o' the vaccine wants to behave same as they were vaccinated, then once again, "abject stoopid" label is getting used w/o guilt. tough to avoid the stoopid label if is an issue o' "hanging out" with such persons, as much you as the unvaccinated. @ShadySands good luck and take care of your family. HA! Good Fun!
-
am having the luxury o' being able to choose to not "hang out" with abject stoopid people. unfortunate, as @ShadySands is no doubt painful aware, a caveat to the aforementioned is the family exception. sure, we could still make a hard choice regarding obtuse family members, and we has in fact done so in some situations, but is a different calculus when dealing with family. on the positive side (kinda sorta), given a few health issues we got which make us more susceptible to covid, the recognition by all our relatives that our family has a few monstrous stoopid members is providing us with a good excuse for not attending family gatherings we otherwise wish to avoid, but is not a guaranteed get out of jail free card. am told aunt ________ is 86 and this may be the last holiday season she will have a chance to be with the entire family. *groan* is true, but two years ago she were 84 and same leverage were used to emotional blackmail us into doing the family holiday bit. still haven't gotten our covid booster. should be receiving it in the next week or so. am nevertheless serious considering purposeful delay so we got an excuse to opt out o' this season's family holiday gatherings. perhaps we won't be able to get our booster until mid january? HA! Good Fun!

is not the least bit probable biden engineered the international effort to get shokin removed, unless you work kinda hard to convince self o' such stoopid. is not even a likely reason why biden, if he were indeed corrupt and attempting to help his son by doing a dr. mesmer on the european community and the US state department, would want to have the corrupt shokin removed from a case he were not making efforts to investigate. the idea being that burisma were somehow relieved to hear that shokin were being replaced with a less easily manipulated prosecutor who would be facing constant international scrutiny? serious? as for the painting, is a good thing a guy like hunter weren't elected to office, 'cause somebody who would take gifts/bribes and dole out political favours in return would be too much to bear... though you were indifferent to such for four years because such didn't matter. is not like the hunter painting thing were done sneaky. were only an issue because there were the slimmest and most remote possibility o' showing some taint o' joe biden. *chuckle* am having no idea who bought the damned painting, but the one person you may guarantee will never get a favour from the biden administration is the person who did purchase. but yeah, no single vote matters in a national election, which is why nobody should ever vote. ... wait, that makes no sense whatsoever. duh. HA! Good Fun! ps am gonna observe hunter is indeed a problem for joe biden. hunter has made questionable life choices. is it possible, particular given biden family history that joe biden could be blackmailed to protect his son? dunno, but we wouldn't dismiss such a query outta hand. the thing is, the stuff with the painting, which am betting were nothing but a headache and a source o' irritation for joe and the administration as 'posed to the kinda thing which results in favours, were done extreme public; no possibility o' blackmail. once again, gd sees corruption 'cause he needs to see to excuse his willful indifference. -

am thinking he is doing a fair job o' identifying the polarizing extremism o' so many americans coupled with the curious self-serving and delusional indifference o' those others who justified their indolence and apathy in spite o' each new trump excess being broadcast daily. perhaps make you feel better to know you were hardly alone. how many others has been proclaiming each new improbable to be qq worthy fake news and nothing burger fodder? ... so strange. during his presidency, trump did illegal over and over and over again. go back through our old posts and reference how many times we observed that trump were doing were illegal, but that nobody were stopping him. doesn't matter if something is technical illegal if there is no way to stop save with impeachment and trial conviction. sometimes it feels like a majority o' people were not paying attention during the four years o' the trump Presidency. bruce, it happened at the US freaking Capitol, while Congressmen and the Vice President were present, and vulnerable. there were an effort, admitted disorganized, to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from 45 to 46. quixotic, unlike any riot we might care to analogize, this one had an actual authority figure, but ultimately that authority figure were simultaneous under a duty to protect and defend those persons and the institution under attack? trump not only instigated the insurrection, but he refused to take action to defend the Constitution, Congressmen, police officers and civilians at the Capitol that day. so not like any other US protest in living memory. "what if Pence,"... and is multiple nightmare inducing ways to end that query. what if a Congressman had been killed? what if the situation had escalated and Trump had declared martial law? what if... the fact you and others frequenting this board do not recognize the significance o' January 6, do not realize just how unprecedented were the events o' the day and just how easily the outcome coulda' been worse but for luck and the actions o' a handful o' people, is... disquieting. aside: anybody who ever used TDS w/o being ironic previous to january 6 should be embarrassed and they deserve whatever ridicule and mockery is heaped 'pon them. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/warnings-jan-6-insurrection/?itid=hp-top-table-main -

our mom, when we were still too young to remember anything, took us to one o' those baby swim classes at a local chicago ymca. as such we have literal no memory o' a time when we were unable to swim, which is, in retrospect, kinda kewl. our mother were scared o' the water, so she had to force herself to go to the classes. we were not particular close with our parents, for a variety o' reasons, but we always admired our mom for taking us to those classes at the y and we appreciated the fact we were taught to swim likely before we were able to walk particular well. HA! Good Fun! -
previous to getting caught in the lie, if rodgers had explained he weren't taking the vaccine 'cause o' an allergy, we woulda' given him the benefit o' the doubt and assumed he were telling the truth, even if such a belief were a bit naïve. dunno. the allergy explanation isn't too convincing either. the cdc does not actual recommend you forgoing the vaccine if you have an allergy to an ingredient o' one o' the vaccines. according to the cdc, you should have a discussion with your doctor if you have such an allergy, and am doubting joe rogan counts. cdc says don't use the vaccine if you have had a "severe" or "immediate" reaction to an ingredient. rodgers is s'posed allergic to an ingredient in both moderna and pfizer and there is a relative short list o' stuff he could possible be allergic to in one o' those. since rodgers already lied, chances are we woulda' asked to know what specific he were allergic to and if he had previous suffered a significant allergic reaction to the ingredients, and considering he had already lied 'bout taking the vaccine, we likely woulda wanted proof. tell us he is allergic to peg or lipids? is possible but a statistical anomaly. heck, the nfl has already partial thrown rodgers under the bus on his lying as would seem they denied that an nfl team doctor spoke with rodgers 'bout the vaccine and provided the advice rodgers claim were given. nevertheless, is true this ain't anywhere near some o' the other nfl player behaviors which the nfl has overlooked or condoned. we haven't purchased steelers merch or rooted for the team since 2010, and we won't as long as roethlisberger remains on the team. is a handful o' rogues in our big ben category and aaron rodgers recent antivax tirade and tortured relationship with honesty don't place him in that category o' villain. is not as if we would stop rooting for greenbay just 'cause rodgers is a tool, although am also not liking how the green bay organization enabled rodgers behavior and lies. we did end up watching the full rodgers interview btw. ... wow. HA! Good Fun!
-
fixed. truth to tell, any explanation rodgers offered were gonna be suspect 'cause, y'know, he already had been lying 'bout his vaccination status. fans like @Bartimaeus and the woke media is the reason rodgers were forced to lie. 'course you all were gonna qq 'cause some rando old person or unvaccinated kid with health concerns maybe ends up getting sick. is not like rodgers didn't follow most o' the covid protocols--was just press conferences and those preseason games... and that recent party and... etc. so, rodgers chose not experiment with an unproven vaccine, which has now been given to billions o' people and is displaying less frequent serious side effects than taking aspirin. you gonna pretend like that is unreasonable? btw, aaron rodgers got advice from joe rogan, which is just like consulting a reputable medical professional. oh, and hippa. ... as crazy, selfish and misguided as such stuff sounds, is not like we ain't seen boardies and multiple other nfl players repeating such crass and ignorant bs, so ain't a big surprise even if is a bit disappointing when you hear rodgers refusing accountability. is just a bit more difficult to cheer for a guy if he is a complete tool bag... unless you are a cowboys fan. is not hard to find a syllabus. https://blogs.brown.edu/amst-2220j-s01-2017-fall/syllabus/ is also taught at harvard law school, which is not surprising as were invented by harvard law school lawyers with intention of teaching future harvard lawyers to take a different perspective and look critical at systemic racism. crt is not being taught to public school students in virginia. kudos if it were 'cause the syllabi you were asking for reveal this is material which requires a level o' analysis and evaluation way beyond what we expect from most high school and middle schoolers. admitted, tell a bunch o' virginia voters that crt ain't even part o' typical curriculum for undergrads at college but is maybe a graduate seminar at university o' virgina or william and mary would probable still anger a small number o' voters, but is doubtful such would become an election issue worth even breitbart's time to lambast. wouldn't have fox news fabricating outrage. wouldn't have folks like dp parroting the silliness. but don't get distracted. point is voter fears 'bout crt being taught in virginia public schools, regardless o' what crt is or is not, is the result o' republicans and right-leaning media willful misrepresentations. doesn't matter what crt is if is not actual being taught to kids in virgina schools or anywhere else, yes? crt is just an example. at the moment, US republicans got nothing, so they are selling fear and relying on ignorance. sure as hell can't sell themselves as the party o' fiscal responsibility and limited government after trump. what is most terrible is that the new politics o' grievance and divisiveness is at least in limited ways a successful strategy for republicans, so their motivation to abandon such is limited. why let little things like honesty and integrity get in the way o' victory, eh? HA! Good Fun! -
when we think o' movies from 1982, the year wrath of khan were released, we cannot think o' a single film which pandered to lowest common denominator and seemed willing to have a cast o' young people with impulse control issues behaving even more immature than their chronological ages. https://www.the-numbers.com/market/1982/top-grossing-movies porky's and best little whorehouse in texas both made the top ten? ... well, there goes that theory. however, we will note, 2013 doesn't have on golden pond or chariots of fire kinda films anywhere near the top 10. can you imagine the following being a scene from a 2021 blockbuster? well, you could likely imagine it, but then you might also have to simultaneous imagine that the events o' the movie V for vendetta had occurred for reals, with much o' the world population having been obliterated and that england had survived relative unscathed thus resulting in situation wherein a small number o' poncy englismen were deciding what was constituting a blockbuster. am indeed a bit sadden by the fact it requires us to imagine an apocalypse to somehow conjure up a 2021 chariots o' fire making top ten. HA! Good Fun!

the imaginary crt hobgoblin is why Gromnir, who overwhelming voted republican for decades, will not be doing so anytime soon. all the republican party current offers is gaslighting and the politics o' grievance. fear o' minorities. fear of foreigners. fear o' bernie and obama. votes were stolen, save when and where republicans win. socialism is evil, except and unless you are one o' the many us farmers who has faced bankruptcy the past few years. etc. crt, btw, is one o' those douglas adams' "42" theories. not gonna find us championing crt per se. for those who aren't aware, a bunch o' lawyers came up with a theory which explains the totality o' systemic US racism and called it crt. is graduate level curriculum which is simultaneous having its greatest shortcoming being the tendency to oversimplify and overgeneralize, but it has value 'cause it forces readers/students to ask questions they may not have previous considered. https://www.foxnews.com/media/newsbusters-highlights-medias-crt-lies is an example o' the manufactured outrage. what is actual examples o' crt being taught in public schools? a single line from a book on a recommended reading list for educators? hey @Hurlsnot, how many books is on your recommended reading list provided by your school district? am not gonna ask you to be honest 'bout how many you actual has read entire much less used in daily lesson planning. what else? fox, rather gauche, links to another fox article which includes the following: "Additionally, superintendent memo 050-19 can be found on the site from February 2019 promoting both Critical Race Theory and the idea of "white fragility."" no. we read the memo. you may do so as well. is no promotion o' white fragility and crt save to note "Dr. Lane’s February Reading List I have received several inquiries and requests for the latest literature that examines the issues associated with racial inequities in education. Below are several pieces that I and other members of the VDOE staff are reading this month based on recommendations that we have received. " one o' the book titles is literal, white fragility, by robin diangelo. another book on the list is foundations of critical race theory in education. so, not promoting and not advocating making such part o' virginia public school curriculum, but rather identifying that Doctor lane, and other educators, is reading books 'bout such topics. is not even a recommended reading list but rather a recognition o' what educators is current reading. couldn't help but flashback to general milley given the current polarization in the US, am looking for insights into causes. got a scholarly work which claims to explain it ALL is making us suspicious o' value, but is not making us afraid or intolerant. as to the supposed virgina department of education presentation promoting crt... Legal Implications of School Discipline: Street “CRED” (Culturally Responsive and Equitable Discipline) (unrelated editorializing: am not a fan o' powerpoint slide presentations) https://www.doe.virginia.gov/support/virginia_tiered_system_supports/resources/2015_fall_institute/Legal_implications_of_discipline.pdf one slide o' 30 from a university o' south florida professor talking 'bout alternatives to suspension... and again, is not specific and/or explicit being taught to students. the material is for educators to consider. somehow dp, the washington examiner, breitbart, fox and the the great majority o' the 2021 US republican party has cherry picked the most random and unconvincing "evidence" and concocted more grievance outta whole cloth. crt? serious? is it that those damned libs is once again trying to blame white people for all o' america's problems? is it the ghost o' 1920-1930s era nativism rising from the grave to posses rust belt and southern republicans? the manufactured rage over crt is precise why we won't be voting republican anytime soon. HA! Good Fun! -
aaron rodgers lied about being vaccinated. and check the tapes from august preseason games when rogers were not in uniform. he weren't wearing masks while in close proximity to reporters and nfl personnel. so either the packers and nfl didn't know about aaron rodgers vaccination status, or they made a special aaron rodgers rule, which highlights the next question which needs be answered: who knew aaron rodgers was not vaccinated? regardless, rodgers purposeful mislead, at the very least, reporters and fans. makes kirk cousins look like a bastion o' integrity by comparison? HA! Good Fun!

am almost always having homemade stock in the fridge or freezer, but better than bullion is an ez and effective shortcut to kinda turbocharge our stocks. we made chicago italian beef sandwiches the other day and we did indeed have homemade beef stock, but a nice dollop o' better than bullion added instant depth. no different with chicken recipes, though am gonna note better than bullion may be a bit salty even if you choose the low sodium variety. regardless, we have a tendency to be a bit snobby 'bout food, and particular 'bout using stock, but better than bullion is a kitchen staple for us and gets frequent usage, although is more supplementary than foundational. Fingers Crossed! QAnon Faithful Await the Return of JFK Jr. on the Grassy Knoll in Dallas "On Monday night, independent reporter Steven Monacelli tweeted he had just encountered a crowd of QAnon supporters in the city’s AT&T Discovery Plaza, apparently in anticipation of the late Kennedy—who they believe faked his own death. made home fries. am s'posing we also made poached eggs and a béchamel, but were little more than an excuse to make home fries. we like home fries, particular in duck fat. yum. the thing which occurred to us is we has seen folks make home fries and they near always add an extra step (or a wrong step) which is complete unnecessary, requires extra cleaning efforts and is time consuming, and who wants extra cleaning? recommendation: the microwave oven is your friend. ordinarily our microwave does little work in our kitchen. popcorn and boiling water? the thing is, the microwave is the perfect tool for getting your potatoes prepared for home fries. no par boiling. no pre baking. cut your tatters into whatever size you believe is right for home fries, then place in a microwave safe container with whatever fat you intend to use for cooking (duck fat is best, but avocado or even olive oil is fine as long as you are careful once you add the olive oil coated spuds to a hot skillet,) seasonings and a teeny bit o' water. shake container so potatoes is coated, then vent container and place in microwave on high for 'bit less than two minutes for a single medium russet, depending on size o' your potato pieces. more potatoes does not require an additional two minutes-- each additional spud requires proportional less time. is not science but art, but am confident y'all can figure it out with a bit o' practice. regardless, after cooking, take tatters from microwave and remove lid and allow steam (water) to escape. fork tender is goal. toss your preseasoned and fat covered potatoes in a hot skillet. we do recommend fully cooking whatever vegetation, meat and/or garlic you might wanna contribute to your potatoes before adding the potatoes to skillet. remove veggies + whatever and then cook spuds separate. near end o' cooking, return veggies to the skillet so everything is warmed through. may be heretical, but this is also a reason why we sometimes use garlic powder 'stead o' garlic for home fries. overcook garlic is wasted garlic. garlic powder is gonna be a bit more robust and if you season your fat/potatoes with garlic powder before you cook 'em, the garlic flavor will not become burned/overcooked garlic flavoring. if you cook your garlic with your veggies, then you are imparting all that wonderful garlic flavor to a mass o' slight caramelized onions and whatever but not genuine to the potatoes. regardless, don't par boil. don't pre bake. save self from the hassle and cleaning. microwave your spuds is an ideal time saver which does not affect end result taste whatsoever. downside is home fries remain nice and hot for what feels like no more than a few seconds once removed from skillet. like french fries, home fries is capable o' going from mouth scalding to room temperature in in the blink o' an eye. ideally, if you do not mind being viewed as a savage and are willing to risk burning yourself, eat outta your skillet is probable the best approach. HA! Good Fun!

as usual, the fox comments is frightening. thus far is no reliable evidence that the daughter was forced to work for sex traffickers or that the deceased had anything whatsoever to do with the daughter's predicament. all we got is the reason mr. eisenman gave the police for murdering nineteen year-old aaron sorenson after he were in police custody and one year following the murder. no lawyer for eisenman. would-be folk hero w/o legal representation is odd. am suspecting more than a few high profile criminal lawyers with a penchant for the dramatic would love to represent washington state's real life bryan mills. might be a real life taken. could just as easily be a real life the ox-bow incident or shutter island. as is our typical response, am gonna wait. you never look like a fool by waiting a bit. converse...
