Repeating Blaster Rifle bug? (minor spoilers)
metadigital replied to InsaneShadow's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, if you have corroborated those findings with the combat log, then either: - that particular weapon isn't working as designed, or - no repeater blasters work as described. I'm far too lazy to check whether the repeating blaster actually increases the firing rate; although I do seem to recall it doing so (no independent documentatry evidence, however -- perhaps it was the multi-shot feat?). Perhaps it is just this weapon? What happens if you use the multi-shot feat? -
You should really read the entire topic... anyhow, this is what i posted earlier. "KOS-MOS is a beatiful weapon from a far superior game http://www.xenosaga.com/ official site. It's the prequel to Xenogears... Which was probably the best RPG on PS1. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is this the KOSMOS? I think this is more than a little silly. Also, all the characters have the proportions of toddlers/dwarves ... e.g. their arms do not extend above their heads.

Two things: - The PC gains +1 AB every level. It would not be unbelievable that your PC is missing quite frequently at the low levels before leaving Peragus. - The +1 can be augmented (and indeed penalized) by modifications added to the weapon (scope, chamber, power source) -- unless it is a "non-modifiable", in which case sell it or break it down in preference for on that is. -
Release of the High quality movies and music patch
metadigital replied to sotos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It is with LA for QA. The Ass. Prod. has already told us this in the other "Next Patch Thread". By the way, you can delete the extra, redundant topic yourself -- which I know you want to do. -
Baley are you just going to spam nonsense until you reach level 10? " You guys are certainly an interesting case study in stream-of-consciousness writing.

I got stuck up a tree when I fought the beasties near the marooned Mandalorian on Dxun. Also, every time the Jedi attack Kreia on Dantooine Vrook has no lightsaber beam.

Agree. Character creation is a definite weak spot. How about different races? In K1 different classes had different physical dimensions (height, weight), so more of that. I think a young yodaling-thing -- who isn't a know-it-all -- would be a good character. Physical disadvantages, but mental advantages. -
Kotor 3 the way it should be!

Some SW Anorak will be able to say whether the Republic is defeated 4000 years before the movies. I seem to remember a line about it being in existence for 15000 years or some such, so I guess whatever happens the Republic must go on until the NT. I guess the fatal flaw(s) introduced by Jedi Council (K2) and anything in K3 (e.g. True True Sith super-sneak mind-poison-thingie) would lead to Sidious/Palpy, Maul and Vader in due course. PS Shouldn't this be a part of the Kotor3 thread? -
Deus ex Machina: the Will of The Force ...
metadigital replied to metadigital's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think the Golden Age of Sci Fi is eventually getting its dues despite GL; I hear there is yet another Philip K. D1ck inspired movie being shot (was it Robert Downey Jr saying he was in it?) for release next year. Gotta love PKD -- he certainly was a towering intellect and substantial influence. Funny, I didn't much like his award winning Man in the High Castle, but I certainly did like his style and his short stories; his questioning of what is reality?, and the numerous androids that find out they are made of artificial memories certainly struck a tone way above most Sci Fi that was written at the time, and since. (My favourite Heinlein novel is Job, which I highly recommend.) 2) Nope, the Force is obviously a malevolent self-serving being which only tolerates the insect-like inhabitants of the SW universe to further its own goals of self-actualisation. We must take heed of the Prophet Kreia and take up arms against it. "Massively outnumbered? Small chance of success? What are we waiting for!" The turtles (Cuff and Link, can never tell them apart) represent Rocky's projected desire to be with Adrienne; in a safe environment and in a world where he has little power he can provide control for them. Or else he just likes turtles. -

The biggest issue with your story (apart from the dissentions above) is replayability. Who would want to play that game again (or once)? Nope. I like to choose everything ... that's why they call it Role Play. You're writing an animated script -- fanfic. -
Yep, I would say that there is a better than even chance that this will be the scenario the developers follow, assuming there is a third game. I wish there were more models to choose from: instead of half a dozen heads, lets have different races and sizes etc. If Yoda can be a Jedi, then a Gizka can too (well, maybe not a Gizka. Unless they are merely the physical manifestation of multi-dimensional super beings in this universe ... but I digress.) The only problem with this idea is that Revan would have to be dead. Most people would like play their Revan again, so there might be some resistance to this idea. Good ideas though. Nice avatar, too.

You'd better see a specialist about that, then ...

But is God real, Baleydammit? You know - you maybe onto something. Sometimes i think i am a figment of my own imagination To anyone reading this - do NOT take this is a cue to start some philosophical debate <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, not even one Existentialist joke? -
We need an artist to create an intimate portrait of "Candyman and Bao-Dur at leisure" ...

Actually, a young William Shatner (c.1966) from the first series. And William Riker (Jonathan Frakes -- one of the few people that look better with a beard) for Carth Onasi. -

That looks more like Speed Racer. -
Just use a deck of normal playing cards. (They were originally used for fortune telling, not aumsements.)

Good link, thank you StarKiller. It does create a conundrum, though. Do we interpret the movies according to scientific method or artistic whim? Does the fact that the second Death Star needed to be of diameter 900km to be scaled for the forest moon of Endor, or do we take the (albeit non-scientific) artistic wish that it was only 160km? And with the starter's pistol firing on another endless tussle between the entrenched parties of either side of yet another holy war, I bid adieu ... "

... Many Bothans gave their lives for these measurements.

Washed first, I hope ... (remember Zalbar and Mission in K1 )

What if Kreia was lying to give the impression that she were Kae? "

Are you not able to translate into "his" when one writes "her"? Good. A lot of effort for you is it? Well, I think I see the kernel of empathy just starting to bud into life ... I mean, just imagine how many women have to traslate your masculine "gener-neutral" prose. I think the feminine pronouns impart more meaning and, besides all that, look better.

Does your family know about your wig fetish? I mean I can understand a costume, but a wig? Revan appears everywhere in her mask and cape, so that wouldn't be too difficult.

Fishie is coming a credible second ... meatbag was just pure inspirational brilliance, which is always going to be hard to beat.
